Beuce had neglected do do anything thus far due to...The fighting re-opening the wound on his arm! Yeah, that. That's what happened. He clutched the wound in pain as blood covered his hand. Doing a makeshift job of patching it up with a quick Cure spell, he looked at the specter in front of them. A black cloak, flying around. Physical attacks weren't going to work against this thing, it seemed. That meant he was the best suited out of the bunch to handle it. The only one who beat him as far as being a mage goes was Hikaru. Running at the thing, he slid under a swipe of its claw and blasted it in the back with a fira. He dodge rolled to the side as it shot a ball of black fire at him. So far, this fight hadn't been too tough it seemed. However, when things were fought in a duo, they always had a habit of gaining a desperation move when their partner went down. This thing's seemed to not look too powerful in concept, but given the effect it had on Beuce, it evidently was. It clutched its hands over where its face would be, arched back, and unleashed a ghostly wail. Waves of energy, resembling sound waves flew from it at the keyblade wielder as a deafening wail overpowered all sound. Try as he might, Beuce couldn't stand against it, and was blown back. Apparently rather injured by the attack, he reached into his pocket for his Hi-po...God dammit. (Physical Immune) Black Demon:180
Zavion had known it was an illusion before they even charged. It wasn't like a nobody. They had makeshift hearts that their body created to attempt to replace the real thing. In that, there was just nothing. Nothing at all. He knew it wasn't the real one. Although, he couldn't let Crybex know he was able to see the real thing yet. He kept his eyes fixated on where the illusion had been to disguise his real intentions. He didn't move his head or his eyes, but with his gift of Clairvoyance, he was scanning the area for the real one. There, above Caleb, was a bright light. Crybex's heart. He couldn't hide himself from Zavion. He prepared himself. He'd only have one shot. A surprise attack only worked if it was a surprise. They might be able to beat him without it if it came down to it, but this was their best shot. He wasn't moving. This was good. It'd be easier if he stayed right where he was. Right now, he was the only one who knew where Crybex really was. If this worked, he may well win the fight for him right then and there. No pressure or anything. It took only a split second for him to make his move. He swept his leg to the side, and a wave of darkness slammed into Crybex's back, shoving him toward Zavion like a current of water, shoving against you and pushing you with it against your will. "Shinryu!" He screamed, thrusting his fist toward the man of light. His arm lit ablaze with a dark fire, burning the sleeve off of his jacket instantly. It was his own darkness, so he had a resistance to it, but this darkness was powerful. It was on his arm for no more than a few seconds, yet his skin was being seared off his arm. His mother's darkness had been incredibly powerful in her youth, as he was told. Yet she was never able to fully control it. It seemed he'd inherited that trait from his mother. For the most part, he could control it, but the more powerful it got, the more he lost his grip on what it did. He was never properly taught to use it. The flames spiraled forward and solidified, transforming into an enormous dragon crafted of dark fire. This, unlike his mother's Shinry, was more of an attack than a summon. The beast let out a mighty roar as it flew headlong into Crybex, attempting to incinerate him with one powerful strike.
Alright, so, it looked like they had to destroy this thunder palace thing. However, it consisted of a large group of Lacrima floating above the city. It seemed Galia had successfully taken out most of them, although she had the advantage of range. He wasn't quite sure how to attack the thing. Then it dawned on him. He did have range, he just needed to adjust his weapon a little! Dismounting his bike, he knelt down as and stared at it for a moment, analyzing the thing. Then, with a grunting heave, he lifted it motorcycle up and flung it at the Lacrima. Needless to say, it broke quite easily. However, the bike hovered in the air for a moment. Beginning to charge with electricity. Finally, It bolted back at Jesse, colliding with him straight in the chest and knocking him back. Lightning had just struck him. Why did that seem ironic...?
Beuce took the pebble and threw it into the air. He'd know what to do...
Beuce saw that Stratos had injured one of the demons to near death status. Picking up a rock off the ground he prepared to throw it. It began to glow a neon green and gave a slight hum. With an overhand throw, he struck the demon and killed it instantly. "My god...I've discovered the most powerful weapon in the world. The mythril pebble of demon slaying!" They had been transported to the next area. This place seemed...different from the others. The air around this place was thick and dark, as though it were the mouth of hell. He heard Mickey say that he couldn't find anything like it in the book. That only meant one thing. They weren't supposed to be here. "Well. This isn't good." Soon enough, they were surrounded by a horde of what looked like demons. Up until now, all they'd been fighting were heartless, a T-rex, and brooms. Although, it didn't really make much of a difference. His party ran in and engaged in battle with them. For the most party, they seemed to be doing fairly well. However, base found himself in a sticky situation. And he meant sticky like bad, not sticky like covered in honey while ants eat it off you. He'd probably like that. Base was a sick fuck like that. While that may be true, it was still a good idea to help him. Flying down, Beuce shot a firaga into the pile, blowing a chunk off the top. They didn't seem to be overly injured by the spell. Of course not. They were demons. He was using fire. He had a good deal of other spells in his arsenal, but what would likely hurt them the most was faith. Summoning up his willpower, he raised his hand, yet nothing came. Light had never really been the schtick of the Asmodians. Before he could continue thinking, a massive blow struck his back. The remaining brute, though injured, had walked over and hit him in the back with the large hammer it wielded. Beuce went rolling forward, coughing at the injury. Unable to cure himself, he made a quick decision. Folding his wings over his body, he was engulfed in fire momentarily. As it faded, it revealed him back in his normal form. Quickly, he raised his keyblade and a healing light washed over him. Running back up to the demon, he parried a blow from the hammer and thrust his keyblade into its chest, finishing it off. The biggest variety was dealt with. That left only one. Turning back, the horned demons began surrounding him. He was glad he had reverted from his other form. He wasn't sure he'd be able to handle all these without physical abilities. One came at him with a pitchfork. He swung his blade, knocking it upwards and quickly chaining into a Zantetsuken, slaying the demon instantly. Rolling out of the way of another jab, he kicked the demon in the back, sending it forward onto its face before quickly turning and blocking another strike. There was a short clash of two or three swings between him and the demon, but he broke through and stabbed into it's chest, carrying into an aqua splash. The demon he had knocked down before was getting back up. Running at it to finish the job, he swiped his keyblade to the side. A small purple orb of energy appeared at the tip, and a field of energy the same hue lifted the demon into the air. Leaping up, Beuce's keyblade was coated in a white icy aura. With a Vorapl Blitz, he made quick work of the demon. He was assaulted with two demons the instant he landed. Knocking one to the side and leaning in that same direction, he avoided the strikes and backed up, knowing it wasn't a good idea to take them both on simultaneously. Throwing a well placed strike raid, to knock back the one that was running at him. Beuce clenched his fist and a pillar of light rained down onto the one in the back, disintegrating it in an instant. He was doing well for now, but his magic pool was about spent, and he wasn't sure he could get in enough physical strikes to rebuild it to sufficiency. Reaching into his pocket to use his Hi-ether, he remembered where it was. Well, that was inconvenient. 0/30 Imps 12/20 Horn Demons 0/10 Brutes Injured: Horn Demon: 4/5 Horn Demon 4/5 Horn Demon 4/5
http://kh-vids.net/threads/drakengard-the-goddess-seal-ooc.149712/ Thunder. That was all that could be heard. The quaking thunder which shook the very foundations of the castle. In an instant, the building was ablaze. Sinbad jerked upward from his bed and grabbed his trident. The castle was under attack. Another crack of thunder was heard, and the room exploded. Knocked back from the intense force, he maneuvered around the now blazing flames in his room and exited through the door. He could hear screams of soldiers and the clanging of metal. Looking outside, there was a large scale battle going on. How had they managed to get so close without so much as waking him up? It didn't matter now, he ran toward the goddess' chambers. So far, they didn't seem to be inside the castle, although at this rate there wouldn't be much of a castle left to infiltrate. Whatever was causing the explosions, it has some serious firepower behind it. Continuing deeper into the castle, he burst through the door...and found himself in the courtyard. ugh. That price really got in the way at times. Although it seemed being here was a good thing, as they broke through the gates. These were just regular foot soldiers. Nothing special about them, but they still had to be stopped. Stabbing his trident into the ground, a massive flood of water pushed through the gate and swept them off their feet. He ran outside into the battle. He may as well pretend this was where he meant to be. He looked up to see the source of the thunder he heard. The sky itself was literally fighting against them. Massive bolts of lightning struck down at the castle, blowing off huge portions of the stone which formed it. There was no way this was natural. As if on cue, the thunder struck somewhere else. Four bolts of lightning struck the ground, although they did it no harm. They were delivering something. In the wake of the flash, four figures stood. They needed no introduction. Everyone knew who they were. Each of them was an Olympian Throne. Athena, a beautiful blonde woman, clad in leather armor with a shield on her left arm and a spear held in the other. Ares, a man with an unnatural air of bloodlust. He had long brown hair and a short beard. A wide grin spread along his face at the battle. People were dying, and soon enough, he'd be the one causing it. Standing in the back was the most mysterious of the four. Cloaked head to toe in cloth, massive black wings spread behind him. A mask covered his face, allowing none to know his true appearance. Thanatos, The Agent of Death. And finally, directly in the front of the group stood the man who lead the assault. His white hair and long beard flowed in the wind, as did his robes. Zeus, The ruler of Olympus himself. "Surrender the goddess to us!" He demanded. Sinbad looked up at him. The air about him seemed to crackle with power. As though he could kill a man by simply standing near him. From what he'd heard about him, that didn't seem unlikely. If he was here...then that meant they really meant business. Ares shouted down at the Union. "Although, if you don't of course, we can just take her! Come on, say no!" He taunted. He honestly hoped that they refused to just surrender her without a fight. Of course, the ever noble union stood firm. They would defend the goddess to their last breath. "That's what i was hoping for." Ares whispered under his breath. Zeus nodded his head. Ares leaped from the cliff, causing a crater in the ground as he landed. His veins began to glow with an unnatural orange hue, as though it were fire and rage that fueled his body, rather than blood. Some believed it was. A few soldiers ran at him, but he didn't even draw his blade. He simply readied himself, and grabbed them with his bare hands, crushing their skulls like they were made of glass. A savage laughter escaped his mouth as he charged a phalanx, crashing into it with force that broke their ranks instantly. Thanatos soon joined the fight, and they stood even less of a chance against him than they did Ares. He spread his wings and flew down. Once he had his sights set onto you, you were already dead. You just didn't know it yet. With a sweep of his scythe, the soldiers that defended the castle were falling by the dozens. These two had turned the tide of the battle completely in the empire's favor on their own, and Athena and Zeus had yet to actually move. Only the most lionhearted of men could believe that there was still a chance at victory. Sinbad turned around, running back into the castle. He had to get the goddess out. This place was lost. They needed to retreat.
Name: Sinbad Age: 26 Appearance: ~ Faction: The Union Race: Human Pact Partner: Not with him. Pact Price: Sense of Direction. Weapon: Riptide Weapon Magic: Ocean's Hammer: Sends waves of water crashing into enemies. Sharpness: Pointed Reach: Very Long Weight: 3.0 kg Material: Bronze and gold Spoiler: Weapon Lore Long ago, there was a man overcome by an insatiable greed who set out to conquer the world. As he saw it, if the Oceans divided the continents, then conquering the oceans would allow him to take all the world simultaneously. Together with his band of renegades, he set out to take the world for himself. For many years, he pillaged and raped, looted and stole. The oceans were his, and by extension, the land surrounding it. He became obsessed with the idea that this was the key to his success. He would spend months at sea, sometimes even over a year. This was a welcome tiding, for when he returned to land, he brought pain and destruction with him as he took all it had to offer. Soon, he became dissatisfied. This couldn't possibly be all there was to the world...could it? Haunted by this thought, he gathered together a massive fleet, and set sail to waters unknown. It was a perilous journey, filled with creatures of all manner, but the might of his armada cut a bloody swath through the waters. Finally, he had found it. He reached edge of the world. A massive waterfall poured endlessly over the edge into an abyss of nothingness. Floating there, just over the edge was a golden trident, unlike anything he'd ever seen before. A voice called out to him. It told him that if he could but take that trident, then the waters of the world would truly flow as he did. Unable to resist such a temptation, he commanded his men to sail closer. They refused, saying that going any closer would risk dropping off the edge. They would not take that risk, not even for him. Screaming of their cowardice, he drew his blade and began to slaughter them, one after another. Diving over the edge of the ship, he swam to toward the trident, the current crashing against him. Reaching out his hand, he gripped the handle. Overjoyed, the current stopped pushing against him. Instead, it began pulling on him. It ripped him beneath the waves, pulling him back. He watched as the light of day faded away above him, though the trident would not let him die to the sea, he was drowning. For years, he drifted, clutching the trident, enduring the pain of being unable to breathe, the crushing weight of the water. Finally, even his greed was overcome. He let the trident slip from his grasp, and instantly, the waters claimed his life. The ocean had never been his. He belonged to it. Biography: Not much is known about this man. He simply washed ashore one morning, and was found by a fisherman of the Union. When he awoke, he told them that he had no memory of where he came from, or what he was doing at sea. Though he doesn't remember what his partner is, he's been told he has a pact given the marking on the back of his neck. It's further proven by his immense power in battle and lack of sense of direction. The price he paid. He fights with the union, not having a purpose beyond it. Theme: ~
So, it seemed that the curse was capable of taking the minds of its victims. Moka had been forced to kill his own son because of it. He felt pity for the man. However, the suggestion he gave was lunacy. Destroy the moon? Even if they agreed to it, how would they go about doing that? He looked at Charlotte, giving a death glare the celestial body. He could tell if she were able, she would've charged it right then and there, screaming of justice. Thankfully, there was no road made of sheer righteousness leading to it she could take. Otherwise, he would've had to follow along. As the group entered the tent, Ra pulled off his helmet, revealing his spiked golden hair and deep red eyes. Setting it down next to him, he claimed a place to sleep. Listening to the opinions of his guild mates, he processed his thoughts. Calxiyn still hadn't returned. The likelyhood was that she had headed toward the temple, as they said. "Although, we still don't know why they were unable to reach the temple successfully. If their solution was to send more men, then there is a fairly high probability that the hindrance was some form of guard. If this is the case, then we haven't the time to wait until morning. Assuming she made it there and encountered whatever was defending it, they or it may well attack on sight. I doubt she could handle any such guard alone." Ra pointed out. Calxiyn may not have the time to wait for them to be safe and practical. "If we are concerned with the curse's effects, then I shall go alone. With my armor, i risk little to no direct exposure to the moonlight. If a tent is protecting us, then anything that will stop the light surely must. At the very least, it will tell us for certain what is at the temple preventing entry, and it may well save the girl's life. Should i reach the temple and still have seen no sign of Calxiyn, then i will return here and tell you what i have learned." Ra proposed. He looked around to the others, waiting to see what they thought of his plan.
As they walked through the castle toward the entrance, Quinn looked to see a man with dark red hair at the entrance. Likely a citizen there to see his father. Most people would've been curious as to what their business was, but Quinn wanted as little part of politics as he could. His father could handle it just fine. His father was a good king, and a father he could be proud of. Although, there was a problem. Everyone had always looked to him to follow in his father's footsteps as the king. They expected him to be as great a king as he was. He didn't want to be king in the first place, let alone have the pressure of being great. Sometimes he wished he could just hand the throne to Osric. He'd do well with it. He knew all about politics, and he was smarter than anyone he'd ever met to boot. He would make a nice king, but he couldn't very well just pass the throne along, as much as he wished he could. He sighed, and continued to walk. He didn't have any real destination. He just wandered into the town, purely for the sake of getting out of the castle. And so, Into town he went. Balthar knelt down and put his hand on the sniffling girl's shoulder as she asked him to play with her. "I'm sorry Thea, but my duty is here. Wait just a bit longer, until i've been dismissed, then i will play with you all you like." The man said apologetically. He cared for the girl as though she were his own daughter, and didn't want to upset her, but his duty was to the family, not her alone. He had to continue to stand guard in case of intruders. He couldn't simply abandon his post, no matter what the reason. Still...he felt sorry for the girl. She must have been so lonely. Taliesin smirked at the oath he was told to swear. Osric wasn't quite as clever as he thought. "I see. Then i shall be bound by this oath so long as i live, unless you release me? So be it." He bowed his head, and began to repeat the oath. . "I, Tallesin solemnly swear my service to Osric of House Lelande. I shall act in his interests. His foes are my foes, his friends are my friends and his liege is my liege. I put myself at his disposal and shall live my life in the interest of serving him, until such a time that I am released from my oath. This I swear upon the Gods old and new, and the Gods before and to come." He said, before rising to his feet. "May our endeavors together bring us both good fortune in equal shares. I believe i shall find what i am searching for in the way of helping you live out your goals, so simply lead the way and i shall shadow your footsteps, Osric Lelande."
Ghost stopped. His anger fading. Caleb...He was still the man he had once known. He let out a slight breath he'd been holding. He pulled up his mask once more. "Thank you..." He said, simply. Nothing more needed to be said. They understood each other. He knew Caleb had not changed. Even his attempt at refusal was with an honorable reason. He was glad to see that he hadn't changed. Although...He had Revealed his Identity to him. He could only trust that his friendship with the man held strong, and he chose not to act on it. Outside of him, he didn't think anyone else save Zavion would be able to identify his identity as Ghost. After all, Ghost was, considered by many, to be nothing more than a myth. Zavion watched the scene unfold. He saw anger and pain, followed by relief and comfort. He was surprised when the man revealed his identity, especially knowing who he was of all people. Prior his outburst, he hadn't been able to place his identity. He had only seen him once as a child. He had intimidated him to no end. The way he wore his sin like a mask. It was as though he preferred people to see him as a killer than what lay beneath that. However, there was always a slight sense of safety around him. Despite the darkness around him, Zavion could see that inside his heart was a sense of justice and honor. He'd known deep down that he was a good person. Although, despite what he could see in their hearts, something else filled his vision. A bright light, so overpowering he squinted and had to cover his eyes. No one else had any sort of reaction, or even made note of it. He was the only one who could see it. Ghost hadn't forgotten his task in this world in the first place, though. "Zavion, what is it?" He asked, concerned for the boy's safety. "It's so...bright." Finally, he located the source of the light. He was shocked. It was...It was someone's heart. He looked closer at the man, his eyes having adjusted to the sheer brightness enough for him to see through it without squinting. Though his heart was filled with light, he was far from good. He could see his sense of justice was warped and twisted almost beyond recognition. Nearly indistinguishable from an insatiable bloodlust. Then again...There may not have really been a difference between the two at all. As he hovered into the air, he felt a sense of joy. His demented personality was dangerous. Maybe even more dangerous than Dane. He began to glow. Zavion's eyes widened. "Look out!" He called to the people in the world. Although, by the time his voice reached them, it was too late. They were gone. All of them. Dead at this man's hands. The only thing to mark that they had ever been there at all was the black ashes which now coated the streets, floating through the air. The once loud sounds of the people in the world now seemed far off. Instead, it was replaced by a silence which could be cut with a knife as Zavion stood there, looking onward in shock at the scene which had just unfolded. "Ah, much more peaceful now. This world is one step closer to purification." He'd said. Purified...? As though they were just stains to be washed away...? How dare he. The hearts of the people...all of them...the glow of them was gone. Xross spoke up, saying that Dane was a small matter in comparison. He had to agree. As bad as he was, this man had ended far more than one life right before their eyes. The sound of metal scraping against metal and a crackle of electricity hit his ears. He didn't need to look to know what it was. Ghost had drawn his blade. "Be careful. I don't need to tell you how powerful he is." "Nevertheless, he cannot be allowed to live." Ghost stood still as the grave, staring at Crybex. He had a vendetta against the darkness stronger than any he'd ever seen. If he allowed him to walk away from this very spot right here, then he would likely make an attempt on Zavion's life. He had to end it quickly. He would protect Zavion with his life, and give it for him if he had to. His loyalty to his lady made sure of that.
Ghost froze. He was unable to believe what he had just heard. "You will not have any part of it?!" He said, obviously angry. His stoic demeanor was gone, replaced by anger. Although, not for the reason one would initially suspect. "What has happened to you? I can't begin to suspect your reasons, but i cannot believe anything would stop you from giving your dying breath to help this girl! Has the darkness changed you so much Caleb?!" Ghost yelled. He could not just sit silent while his friend abandoned who he was. "You once told me that what truly mattered, what was truly important, was using your strength to defend those who had none! To protect those who could not protect themselves! Yet when a man comes to you, pleading for help to save a girl who's life has barely begun, you turn your back on him?! I cannot believe that you would do this! The Caleb i knew would never have rested until she was safe! He would give anything to help someone in need. His honor, his pride, his very life! I recall the lines under his eyes from his tireless crusade to defend those around him! He strove to be a hero! Tell me, where had that man gone?!" The reason Satsujin had been able to let go of his grudge against R was because of Caleb's words. He had realized that R was doing what was truly right. The method may have been different, but he had done his best to live by those words. Yet here was the same man who spoke the words forsaking them! He couldn't simply accept this. Reaching up, he grabbed the front of his mask and pulled it back. Long violet hair was allowed to flow in the wind. His face was revealed. "Caleb...Tell me...Why? What has gone through your mind?"
Gather around, and I'll tell you a story unlike any you've ever heard before. A tale of gods, dragons, and demons. Long ago, in the times of fairy tales, there lived a Goddess. While she was divinity in title, she was in actuality but an ordinary girl placed into a terrible fate. When the Goddess before her died, the task of becoming The Goddess Seal was placed upon her. The fate of the very world itself hinged upon her life. Should she perish, the world would begin to wither and finally die entirely unless a new goddess was chosen with haste. There were, however, those who wished her demise. Olympus, one of the most powerful empires ever known to man, had its sights set on not only the goddess, but the three seals which held in place the world's destruction during the selection of a new goddess. The Forest, The Desert, and the Ocean. These three seals were efforts made to keep the world from it's apocalyptic natural state. Although, only the goddess herself can truly withhold catastrophe. Her life was threatened by the empire. While their armies were vast, and their technology great, The Olympian Thrones, the nine pact makers of the empire, were the true reason behind the Empire's power. A pact is the joining of souls. Two humans cannot enter one together, but should a human encounter a creature of another species, they can enter into a pact with them. The two become lifelong partners. and each gain incredible power from the strength of their partner. The strongest of pact makers have been said to decimate entire armies with seemingly no effort on their part. Although, while this power is great, nothing in this world comes without a price. In order to enter a pact, something irreplaceable must be given up. One's sight, their voice, their fertility. The Olympian Thrones were no exception. Although, even against the might of Olympus, The Goddess was not alone, damned to her fate against the might of the empire. The Union, an alliance of countries dedicated to the protection of her holiness had taken up arms, unafraid to stand against the armies and machines of those who would harm her. Even the Nine Thrones would not make them cower. This is where our tale begins. OOC Sheet Name: Age: Appearance: Faction: (The Union or The Elves. Huh. I'd think captain America would be a bit more defensive.
Beuce scowled when she handed him a stack of papers to go and file. He'd seen Bruce Almighty. She could just put these into a computer if she felt like it. God, what a bitch. He briefly considered going back to the rebellion and trying to kill her, but sighed. Stratos had already chosen the route and he didn't have a save file before such time. "Yeah yeah..." Beuce followed Stratos into the room. He wondered why he was staring at some random metal box with handles on it. Walking over to what was clearly the filing cabinet, he dropped the papers into a small plastic bin labeled "trash". "There. Whew, i'm beat. Let's have her magic us up some food. Oi! Magikarp! Can we get like...I dunno some chinese or something? We can't go and get it ourselves! Xero is going there." Beuce sighed. The least she could do to thank them for doing such an awesome job on filing things was conjure them up some food. Such bitch many ungrateful. Now, if anyone else had stood there yelling to random beings which couldn't be seen, they would've had their sanity questioned. However, this was Beuce. There was no question involved. Beuce sighed and turned to Stratos. "Oi. Wanna see a zombie?" He asked, giving no further explanation. He had a habit of dragging Stratos into all sorts of random crap, so clearly he wouldn't mind something like this. "Come one it doesn't even have infect. Probably..." A shiver went up Zavion's spine. Why did he just get the feeling that Lexcifur had just said the word sigh rather than actually sighing? Because that was just the right kind of ******y for Lexcifur. That's why. It seemed like something he'd do. Nevertheless, he looked around. They seemed to be in a town square of some sort. Nearby, there was an enormous church of some sort. The building completely dwarfed anything nearby. However, before he could continue to make note of his surroundings, a man who had come with them walked up. Before he said anything, Zavion could tell that he was frantic and desperate. He didn't need to look into his heart to see that. It was obvious from nothing but his face. He told them of a man who had taken a girl as a slave. He stood silent, seeing what the others would do. It wasn't long before the man with the mask spoke up. "If it is as you say, and this girl is being held hostage, then I will kill him myself." Ghost announced. He was an undercover agent at the moment, but his purpose was still to destroy corruption where the goddess could not. She was incapable of leaving Riel, so he was her hand in the worlds beyond. There were those that said the goddess did nothing to stop threats outside of Riel, but that was false. The reason no one knew of these were because they died at the hands of Ghost before they had the opportunity to rise into notoriety. There were others who had indeed been threats to the balance of peace, and were known as such. However, no one knew of Ghost's hand in that matter. Dane was the kind of person he was sworn to kill. "I can't let someone like that just walk around. I'll help you." Zavion could see into the man's heart, and he knew that he told the truth. However, something puzzled him. The other who had offered his service was hopeful. As though he were anticipating something to happen shortly. He couldn't tell exactly what it was, but he wondered what he could be waiting for in this situation. Bartholomew grinned at the death of the woodland creatures. There would be fear in the hearts of those that survived. This Samsara was interesting. Walking over to her, he looked into her eyes. As their vision met, his smile widened. He knew who she was, and he knew why she turned to darkness. "This will be interesting." He continued to look into her eyes. It wouldn't happen quite yet, but the longer he stared at her, the deeper his curse sank into her mind. She'd fall to it soon enough.

Ra looked up at the massive gate before them. Atop it was a man shouting down at them to show their guild marks to prove their status as wizards. This told him two things. One, that they had retained their sense of being from the curse, and two, they were trying to keep something out. This could be simple paranoia, or there could be something on the Island they felt they needed to defend against. He couldn't say for sure which one it was yet. Nevertheless, this was their destination and they needed entry. Reaching up, Ra grabbed the fabric portion of his outfit and pulled it down. On his collarbone rested a bright golden Sapphire Eclipse emblem. Having shown them what they wanted to see, Ra pulled up the fabric, covering his skin once more. "Now then, let us pass." ~~~Magus Ascension Guild Hall~~~ Orpheus lay against the wall, his skin burning, pain coursing through his body. His consciousness was fading rapidly. Was this the end? Hm. Maybe so. Just as soon as he had accepted his fate, the pain subsided. He could feel his skin being stitched back together through magic. Opening his eyes, he saw a hooded man standing above him, healing him. Though his face was hidden, Orpheus knew the man well. It was Alastor. His guild mate. The man told him that he would not die here. That he would have the opportunity to create as many corpses as he so desired. Rising to his feet, Orpheus smiled. "So we are to destroy them, are we? We'll need to regain our strength first...Thea still lives, though i believe her to be captured. Yana perished a fair while ago." Orpheus didn't seem displeased by the fact that one of the most elite mages in their guild was dead. In fact, it seemed to delight him. They hadn't lost her power at all. He'd gained it under his command. "Come, Alastor. We have an ally to regain." Beucette used blitz on mouse army member 2
