Adalric's breathing was slightly heavier than usual when aster walked in, despite the amount of training he had been doing. If there was a single thing he had over likely any of the other apprentices, it was endurance. He dismissed his keyblade as soon as she walked in and directed his full attention to her words. An... assignment...? Master Thallasa? He gave her a puzzled look, but decided he would find out soon enough. He nodded in acknowledgement, and began to walk past her, when she wished him good luck. "If...if you believe there is no harm in it, I'll trust your judgement. I'll be wary of the two from the realm of darkness. They seem sensible, but we can't be too cautious. The light chaser alone is threat enough, let alone if they turn out to follow the same path as what Tinarah and Master Gero experienced." He continued walking, but briefly stopped and looked back at the blonde woman who trained him in his art. "I will do you proud. I promise to do what's best for the worlds" With that, he left to join the others and depart for their mission.
Adalric throughout the whole meeting with the council seemed... distant. He'd listened to Tinarah's story. He'd heard the words of those who came from the realm of darkness. He payed attention to Aria. His gaze, however, never left the master of masters. He'd never seen the man before yesterday, and even that had been for mere moments. Adalric had a discerning eye better than most. He didn't really need to see someone fight to understand how strong they were, it just helped. If he was able to observe them long enough, he could even tell how they fought. Master Gero was so...powerful. it kind of scared him, honestly. If he was this powerful...what was the light chaser like? The thought sent shivers down Adalric's spine. They could run away all they liked. They could sit tight in their castle and guard the princesses, but eventually there would come a day when they had to fight him. That was why Aster had started training him. To make up for the gap left in Gero's wake when he was believed to be dead. Finally, the meeting was adjourned and all the apprentices left the room. Several of the others broke off into groups, seemingly troubled. Qamar had a newfound fascination with the master from the realm of darkness. He understood why, he just...prayed she didn't come on too strong when she interacted with him. She was the type to forget that not everyone was as headstrong as she was, and that she'd know these people for less than 24 hours. He stood by himself shortly outside the hall where the meeting had occurred, processing what had transpired. Suddenly a voice snapped him out of it. Take had invited him to go on a run with them. "Oh um..I...Ive got something to do I'm afraid. I'll catch up later if You're all still together." Adalric politely declined Take's invitation and began to walk toward the training grounds. A courtyard in the middle of the castle. It was secluded, and had various flowers growing around the perimeter of the smooth stone pathways that led into the open center. This was where he spent nearly all of his time that he wasn't training with Aster. He often spent time with Qamar here, but that was usually because she invited herself in and he was too polite to refuse her. A glimmer of light and a few ethereal petals emerged from his hand, and his keyblade formed from nothing. He took a deep breath a few times to steady his heartbeat in preparation. Closing his eyes, he held his keyblade nearly parallel with his body, leaning slightly outward. Quickly, he deflected a strike that hadn't really been there at all. He sidestepped just as soon, blocking another phantom strike. In nearly ten minutes, he only found the room to strike back three times. Meanwhile, he defended flawlessly. Each Parry, each guard, was very well executed. Such was his forte. Eventually, he seemed to have found an opening in whoever it was that he was fighting's defenses and kicked what appeared to be their ankle out from underneath them, followed by plunging his keyblade toward the ground. Panting, adalric opened his eyes, his hands trembling. After one of his "training sessions", he always found himself incredibly wound up. He dismissed his keyblade, and sat down, trying to steady his breathing. Once he was ready, he stood up to face his next opponent.
Beuce, matching Kaida's excitement as she ran up to partake in the high fiviest of fives. He knew exactly her intent was, down to the wording. "Yeah!" He exclaimed, smacking her hand with his already raised hand, making a 'cling' sound as their hands collided. He grinned, now hyped up to be a master. "You know back at Central Haven I almost took the mark. Then the heartless attack hit and it got interrupted"
Beuce exited the portal along with his companions. He was happy to finally not have fur all over his body. Honestly, he couldn't begin to imagine how steel dealt with the unbearable urge to rub his butt on the floor. Stretching, he looked over to stratos who asked if they were ready to become masters. Beuce gave a smile and a glass thumbs up. "It's been a long time coming. We're finally ready to fight on our own terms"
Buying and equipping blessed thief for brawl missions. 7245 - 2000 = 5245
Beuce groaned and held his forehead, laying on the ground. He'd taken quite the hit at the end there with the giant laser cannon. He managed to get up after what seemed like it's last act of retaliation just after the fight ended. He watched the events with Judy and Nick unfold, waving goodbye to them as they left. "So, is that it? This was the third mission. That may have been the last of it. We...we might be able to go back to the realm of light now." Beuce said to the rest of them. It seemed like it had been a long time since Mizrabel's castle. He had almost forgotten that they were thrown into the realm of darkness. What was going to happen to them now? What would happen with Aux? Could they beat him if he turn on them?
Beuce briefly wondered if pot was legal her or if Jax was just looking him up with some dank **** under the table. In any case, he used a potion on Luna Also Aerogolem used Aero on stratos Everything else attacked
Adalric could hardly sleep that night. We're it not from the exhaustion of preparing several times as many meals as he was used to, his nerves probably wouldn't let him sleep at all. He folded his pillow over his head, trying to drown out ambient noise. Things were getting complicated...and he had a feeling that come tomorrow, they were about to get even worse. When morning finally broke, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, got dressed, summoned his keyblade, and performed a few maneuvers with it. If anyone had been watching (which he hoped with all his might no one was), they'd be able to tell they were defensive maneuvers. Parries, sidesteps, and the occasional counter. His eyes were closed, as though he were fighting some invisible enemy in his mind. In fact, that's exactly what he was doing. While it wasn't quite real combat training, it was surprisingly not as far from it as one would initially think. The enemy's movements were akin to that of one he would realistically face, and that allowed him to hone his own movements accordingly. This was a fairly light combat, for lack of a better term, due to his room not being a terribly large surface. After a few moments, he fell backwards and opened his eyes, evidently defeated by whatever it was his mind had conjured up. "Master, you really are stupidly strong..." The man muttered to himself after a sigh. Rising to his feet once again, he dusted himself off and went about the rest of his morning activities. Once he was ready to set out, he grabbed clipboard and set out to find what their guests wanted for breakfast. Trying to keep track of everything in his head last night had proved nightmarish. He headed to the rooms in no particular order, or at least, he would've if the first room hadn't been something that required his immediate attention. He didn't knock on the door as it would've been pointless considering the thing was broken in half on the floor! What in the world had happened here?! There was the man Qamar had almost gotten into a fight with and a very pastel looking girl sitting on a bed together, and someone else who he only remembered their order yesterday. Adalric only stood there, mouth agape as he looked at the door and then to the three individuals in the room. "I..what..." He breathed a heavy sigh. "What do you want for breakfast...?" He said with a defeated voice, dismissing the door for now. He'd fix it later...

The man made something of a sour face at Qamar as she said to stop apologizing for her. "I'll stop apologizing for you when you stop making me." He sighed, glad that he'd narrowly avoided things coming to blows. Nodding to Boreas, he stammered out "Y-yes. Id very much appreciate that." Adalric paused for a moment, stopping to see these new arrivals. They also seemed to have gone through a fair bit of strife recently. One of them even seemed to have a broken wrist, and the blonde master who looked like his own rushed over to him, acting like he was her own child. From what he gathered, he was her student. That made sense. It wasn't uncommon for masters to develop a familial relationship with their apprentice. Just as he was about to leave, he felt something like needles run across his calf. It didn't hurt so much, but it startled him and send a shiver up his spine as he turned around to see a small cat purring and looking up at him. Recovering from his heart attack, Qamar put the cat on Tinarah's lap. He hadn't planned on everyone accompanying them to the west wing, but he didn't really have a problem with it. "Once you're all settled in, I'll bring you all something to eat. If there's anything you'd like in particular, please let me know and I'll do what I can to prepare it for you." Adalric said meekly, as he wasn't used to addressing so many people at once. This group of strangers made him nervous, but he was doing his best to be polite. They were guests after all.

Adalric waited silently with his fellow apprentice for Master Aster to come and retrieve them. Apparently, they would be receiving guests shortly and the two of them were to accompany his master to greet them. He bit his thumb in anticipation, and didn't pay Qamar much mind when she let out one of her usual rude comments. That was the way she was, and he'd grown accustomed to it. Finally, the blonde woman who had trained him for several years now came to fetch them. Silently, he followed her to the gate. Nearly as soon as they'd arrived, a blonde girl collapsed, seemingly weak from exhaustion. Adalric's eyes widened as he watched her lay there. Everyone else made small note of it, but otherwise simply carried on. He looked to each individual and then back to her with a concerned and confused look on his face, as though to confirm no one else was going to do anything about it. He rushed forward after a moment, checking to see if she was breathing. Upon closer inspection, the girl was barely conscious. He looked around once more before steeling himself and muttering several apologies under his breath as he tried to determine the least intrusive way to pick her up. Meanwhile, and argument had begun to break out between Qamar and one of the newcomers. He stood up, Tinarah in his arms. "Qamar, please. I understand his words are harsh but they've clearly come from unknown circumstances. At least try to be civil." He turned on his heel to face the man she argued with and bowed his head slightly "Please, do forgive her. I'm terribly sorry." He said in a meek tone as though he'd been asking forgiveness for one of his own transgressions. "Master, where should I bring her?" He asked, almost in a cry for help.

Beuce breathed a heavy exhale. These golems were powerful certainly, but they really took it out of his Mana reserves. Thankfully he got the feeling most people were internally cheering for him, so he felt like he could keep them out at least six longer. Putting his hands to the ground once again, a massive golem of ice and snow rose up from the ground and fired a projectile at the storm rider, while the wind golem went over and lightly touched Ignis’ head. Beuce didn't know how bad it was for the birds in this world, but he was pretty sure that he'd gone through something fairly similar. He glanced down to his arm, and thought about what he'd do. He'd fight back, of course. He sympathized with the bird, but right now, they had something important to do. He'd begun to consider helping the bird, until he shot steel with a dart that was supposed to rewrite his genetic code. He didn't quite understand what that meant, but it could be nothing but bad news. Beuce readied his keyblade, and would've gone after the bird, but a shadow loomed overhead. He looked up, and saw what was likely their target. Based on stratos’ comment, he likely agreed. A light enveloped Beuce as his outfit changed to a more flowing outfit. He now held two seemingly autonomous strands of red and blue ribbon which fluttered around him. Placing both palms against the ground, symbols and runes of magic began to arc outward from him, until finally a gust of wind surrounded him and began to form itself into visibility, and then a creature made from it. It looked down at it's Creator and touched him, blessing him with a barrier of wind before heading out to do the rest to his companions Beuce used Aerogolem Aerogolem cast aero on Beuce
Beuce panted, his breath growing heavier with each swing. This created devastating hits, but it was unimaginably exhausting to fight this way, not to.mention it wasn't terribly efficient against a crowd. Some of the more injured penguins seemed to be noticing that his stamina was taking it's toll on the man. They seemed to be looking to triple team him and make use of his weakened state. Beuce however, wasn't about to just take it lying down. For the first time, he tried using a command with his weapon. Three swings, each leaving a burning Arc of energy, were brought down onto the healthiest of the penguins, instantly knocking it over and leaving it literally with stars circling above it's head. That was a little odd, but the keyblade wielder didn't have time to be stuck on it. Using commands certainly took a chunk from his stamina, as sweat was no covering his face, but instead of stopping and giving his body time to cool down, he planted the blade upright into the ground and ran a step up it before kicking of backwards to tackle the most injured one. One punch was all it took to bring it down, and he wasted no time beginning to engage in fisticuffs with the remaining penguin. Two quick jabs, one to the stomach and one to the face, and it was down. Looking around, he saw everyone else was mopping the floor with these things as well. In fact, one particular move that he saw Stratos do gave him an idea. Giving a quick whistle to get the boy's attention, he gave a gesture to make his way over to him. “Give me a lift, will you?” He called out, ripping his weapon up from the ground. As it's weight seemed to disappear entirely, as well as his own, he knew that Stratos had understood his meaning. Beuce lifted higher into the air, hovering over an unsuspecting and unlucky penguin. It threw several shuriken at him to try and halt his advance, but once he began his descent, it didn't matter. The massive weapon cut effortlessly through them. No, cut wasn't the right word. It was more like smashed through them. As the penguin watched Beuce baring down on him, it dropped it's sword and put it's flippers together, uttering a silent prayer. The impact from this strike didn't just bury the sword in the ground, it managed to create a crater in the street where the penguin had been. Once again, it simply fell over onto it's backside with stars circling it's head. Now that he wasn't being immediately attacked, Beuce walked over and waved his hand through the stars. They weren't corporeal, and appeared to be just an image. How bizzare… Shaking the thought aside, he turned his attention back to the battle at hand. As powerful as soldier was, it couldn't be used for long due to the massive strain it was putting on his stamina. So instead, he reverted to his base form, and decided that if Kel and Ignis had the same job, he'd join Stratos. A red and blue light enveloped him, and was shortly joined by a yellow one. His outfit was largely similar, except now it had more of a western vibe to it, and now instead of toting a massive sword, he held a double barrel shotgun. He breathed a sigh of relief holding it in one hand, and took aim to fire rounds of magic at some of the penguins his two Ninjas companions were dealing with. First, he nailed one in the side which was about to take a swing at kel, and then fired a judgement shot which ricocheted around the penguins Ignis battled. 625 words 60 exp 120 total Penguins 8 left 5 at 14/15
