It's probably your computer, but it could also be the emulator. I have a Dell Laptop from 2004, and it can run Gameboy Games, DS games, and PSP Games just fine. I do suffer occasional lag though. Chances are, it's probably the emulator. They are 3D games though, so that could cause a problem. Try another game and see if it runs smoother,
I don't regret not getting games, because with emulators and shops such as Amazon, games are fairly easy to come by. Just on Sunday, I got FFIV-VI and Pokémon LeafGreen for the Gameboy, and I've gotten many games for my PS2 on Amazon, such as FFX, FFX-2, and KH Re: CoM. It's really hard to miss out on games now, regardless of Internet access or not.
