I've followed the development of Spore basically since it was announced at E3 05, but I'll admit, being someone that studies and cares about religion and my own lack of it, I was very surprised by their commercial for the game. I only heard it in the background as I was on my computer one day, but turned around just in time to hear something about "Creavolutionism?" and I was like..."lol wut?"

I saw the commercial in full a few days later and as soon as it was over, I knew "This game...is already going to be so controversial...and that commercial just dug it's propaganda grave."

I mean, I love the game, I got it a few days ago and it's awesome. But I can definitely see where people would freak out. I mean, any Christian that's n "extremist", as the person who posted this put it, is going to allow their beliefs to control every part of their lives. I'm not surprised the review wasn't longer and didn't end in "And that's why the liberal media is destroying this country with support of Abortion. SATAN REVENGE BABIES? NO THANKS. I give Jesus a 543897259083475897/10."

By the way, while I'm posting, I'd like to point out that extremist Christianity and stupid bigotry are 2 different things. Extremists want SO badly to push their beliefs on others that they're willing to kill or die for the progression of the christian faith. These are the sorts of people that you hear about on the news that blow up abortion clinics or cut off their own hands because they think they're being possessed. Stupid bigots, like the one who wrote the review, are blinded men who's strong faith does not allow for even the possibility of Evolution or Atheism existing anywhere but Hell. This person is scared of the game, it's obvious that he's FRIGHTENED. If he turns that fear into Anger and goes to murder Game Developers...yeah he'd be an extremist. But right now I'm actually feeling sorry for him, he's clearly a monkey with no sense of value or self-worth, no free thought or ability to comprehend anything beyond God. I pity those people.
