Money is not an issue when it comes to war. The poor will not get paid just because they agree to be drafted. which brings us to another debate: Drafting. Should the government be able to draft anyone, including the poor, to fight in a war that America may or may not have wanted to be involved in in the first place? Well, if nobody else is volunteering, the law is the law, though drafting was abolished a while, back, I believe.
