From personal experience, one reason people don't stop being a "doormat" is due to that person thinking that stepping on / taking advantage of someone is wrong, and if they are going to find the right person, that person won't take advantage of them so why bother changing. I think to a degree that mindset is very sound and it makes sense, the only downfall is that you will be getting hurt a lot more. Whereas if you take some of the advice in this thread including what Misty said, things are going to be a lot easier for you. Remember man, you aren't changing for them, you are changing for you. You deserve the happiness, don't forget that. Best of luck dude.

Traffic and activity (and site value) has plummeted from what is was like in the past. This could easily have something to do with "new" people having no interest in recent games. As for how "we" rank up against other sites, who knows. Some better, some worse. Isn't that how most sites are?
There are so many "Mega Mans", all of which have one thing in common. Money. Why wouldn't Nintendo like/treat that well? That's my mindset at least (coming from someone who has played every megaman game including the spinoffs)
Freedom of speech means you can say whatever you want without people stopping you from saying it. However, there are still consequences for your words/actions. If you say fire in a movie theater, your ass will get in trouble. You are free to say it, but that doesn't mean you won't get in trouble.
