Yup that is my point. Everything with emulators is about speed. Fast load times, turbo options, speed hacks, save states, etc. Not many people want to do anything with emulation slowly.
DoC was a fantastic game, despite what other people say it's easily one of my fav ps2 games of all time.
If that's the case, I guess that's sort of cool the first few times, but anyone who actively uses an emulator is going to want to get into their games quickly with no hassle. Myself included.
2 EZ.
Just because the police are fine with it, doesn't mean that it's safe or smart.
So is this some kind of shell or menu or whatever for just using a PS2 emulator....
That's why before I suggested to simply upgrade the Graphics card and make sure his power supply can handle it. If he has money to burn and just wants to upgrade his PC, adding more RAM won't hurt. And if he ever wants to use any RAM intensive programs, he has it.

All these smart people. God
I was more or less getting at that people have been saying that "it's worth buying a console for". It's going to take a REALLLLY good game to be worth like 460 dollars. lol
This. So much. The is really no reason to buy it now when they aren't that many "fantastic" games on it. I'll keep this short so I don't get shot by any Infamous fanboys. But yeah, waiting is probably your best bet. I rarely play mine tbh.
You'd be surprised how well you can do something when unbelievably sick. Back when I played in the pit band for a musical, I apparently had mono but didn't actually know until months later when the doctor told me. If you are focused enough, you can push through even that. The only down side is pushing yourself too far can bite you in the ass down the the line. tl;dr Be careful, you are human.
