Pulse sat there, legs crossed, just staring forward at her mentor. Numb. She'd decided eventually that was how she'd felt. Too overwhelmed to actually feel anything. From the moment her name was read out off that silly piece of paper, her death warrant, it had just been unreal. It was almost as if she was watching it in third person, and she'd just noticed little things that don't matter. As she was pushed to the front, she noticed scars on hands, dirt under fingernails, she could almost tell what job each person did in the factory as she passed. Not that any of it did her any good. The simple mechanism used to lift her onto the platform, that was easy, she could understand that. Why her? She doubted she'd ever know. Red eyes, final goodbyes, choice of words, like anything could make this situation any better, all passing by so fast. They bundled her on to a train and sent her onwards to her execution. Then there was her mentor. Someone who she had reluctantly watched, fight for their lives, felt their pain and jumped for joy when he actually did it. All that only last year, someone from their district had actually won. It was so rare and so precious when it had finally happened, hope rekindled in the spirits of the people. Made her wonder if maybe, just maybe she could do it too. It felt like she'd known this person so well but looking at the disgusting drunk before her, she started to wonder how much she actually knew. People made out winning to be a fantastic thing but he didn't look like he was living the high life. She'd been forced to watch him glug away several bottles already, and as the booze vanished so did her hopes of coming out of this alive. Finally he turned and asked if she had a question. She did, millions of them in fact. She wanted to ask what had happened to him, how had he fallen from grace so fast? But she didn't, that wasn't the most important thing right now. "How do I do it? How do I come out of this alive?" She asked it quietly, but there was a deep intensity to it, a spark in her eye that could ignite a fire. She knew it wasn't exactly a precise question and one to which the answer was most likely 'You don't' but she asked it anyway. She wanted to know if there was a chance, just a chance that she could do it.
Oh probably not then, I just noticed you were mentioned and was hoping you could be brought back into it somehow. I'm loving it at the moment and...
Just incase you hadn't noticed, Saxima's left an opening for you in STRANGE. 8D
Alice was as still as a statue, she didn't even move to touch her neck, she just stared at the older boy. His story had shook her up, she'd never really considered the consequences. She'd been doing it on her own before and had accepted the risks. But now she'd dragged two other people into it, could she really drag them down with her? Should she back out now before the damage was done? What should she do? They were depending on her. Then there was that last question, that got to her because it was more than likely true. She probably couldn't control those two if they decided to go against her but she was hoping she wouldn't have to. They were smart people not animals, she never wanted to be the leader, she'd thought it might now be a joint project where they all wanted it to work. She didn't want to order people about and boss people around. She hoped that they'd respect each other and that would be enough. She was a firm believer that you didn't need to shout to be heard, a quiet whisper could have more effect than somebody yelling their head off. If she had to yell, she was going wrong. Nix's reaction calmed her down, she'd been stuck for words but Nix's reassurance kicked her out of her trance. He still believed in her, he still wanted to go ahead. Maybe, they could still do this. Her hand slowly formed a fist, she was never one to give up that easily. She tilted her head and looked straight at the white haired guy who'd nearly stopped them in their tracks. She spoke quietly yet clearly, making sure that he could hear every word. "Maybe you're right, maybe I hadn't fully realised the implications of what I was doing. Maybe we aren't fully prepared. Maybe I'm not so tough. But maybe just maybe we can still pull this off. Maybe we can do something that'll go down in history." Maybe she was getting ahead of herself, she considered but continued regardless, "Maybe I won't need to control them, they are not animals and who says I am in charge? We are a team, partners and no one person is better than anyone else. I had hoped we would respect each other and listen. We aren't monsters. Maybe I'm too naive but that gives you no right to come over and insult us. Maybe I was wrong about you, I thought you were a good person. But fine, instead of lecturing us, what would you have us do?" She increased in volume as she went on but never once went louder than normal speaking levels. She stopped and just stared at him, she was shaking a little. She wasn't really sure what she was saying but she didn't like being told she wasn't good enough to do something. Slowly she turned to Frida, "Listen, I'd understand completely if you want to drop out now. What we're doing is dangerous and the consequences may be too heavy. I wouldn't think any worse of you and nobody needs to know you were ever in it, I won't damage your reputation. It's your choice, don't let anybody choose for you. However, I think I need to do this. Sorry." She smiled slightly at her new friend, wondering what her decision would be. Frida may be a rebel and not one to drop out easily but she also wasn't stupid, she had to understand the magnitude of what they were going to do.

So when're you going to join? You've got an amazing singing voice. And awesome as usual ^,^ You actually put my 'Hell yeah's in xD
xD Yes I am~ But I'm telling the truth, here's my proof, I made that this morning - check the time and that took a bit of time to make.
I'd probably get the opposite one of that xD
xD Well I wouldn't really say I was a morning person but I have been up for a while now.
Awesome~ Oh about noon, having my lunch now, 12:14pm
Not too bad thanks, I'm about to go out with a friend and I'm getting really into an rp on here currently. ^,^ You?
Another word of gratitude came out of the small artist's mouth to thank Nix as soon as he said he was still up for helping, she was probably overdoing that but she was just so afraid he would back out. Without him, she had no project and she'd be letting Frida down too after she promised she'd help her out. She was probably coming across as way too desperate, but he was helping, so did it matter? She'd somehow got them both to help, now they just had to organise themselves, this would all work out well in the end. She wasn't really paying attention when Aiden came over, so his sarcastic voice took her completely off guard, "Wha-??" As she looked up to see the instantly recognisable white hair from yesterday, she just felt disappointment. Yesterday, he'd seemed like a fairly nice guy, he'd been a bit at odds with Frida but she could understand that, given Frida's attitude. Still she hadn't expected him to come over and just criticise their project, that just seemed so mean and unfair. He might have been aiming it at Frida but it was her project too and she did not like someone coming and purposely putting them down. Her hand went up to the back of her neck which was already red hot as she took a slight step back. "It will work. It will work. It will work...", she muttered quietly to herself, as if convincing herself again that it would no matter what that guy said. She was determined to make a good project and not make the other two regret joining her, however she could feel tensions rising already. She didn't know how to react to being told it wouldn't work, she tried to avoid arguments, not get into them. She wanted so badly to disappear, like she usually did when trouble came looking, but somehow she convinced herself not to, to stay and see this through. She heard the other two in her group start to reply and she nodded, they could handle him way better than she could. Nix was just so calm and seemed to take everything in his stride, how did he do that? She just admired the way he dealt with the situation. He didn't even falter, he had an instant comeback like he didn't even need to think about it. She was pretty sure she'd never be able to do that. And then Frida, she was something else. Alice was pretty certain she never wanted to get on that girl's bad side. Despite being one of the few people who was actually smaller that her, Frida was certainly not weak. She too seemed to know exactly what to say, she wasn't anywhere as near as calm as Nix but she was just electrifying. The show of power made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. The electrical girl was on their side thankfully but Alice still hoped that that anger would not transfer to them. Being electrified was not on her list of things to do today. The blonde girl took yet another step back, glad they were handling it but still fighting the urge to simply vanish into thin air. She was determined to stick this through but as she felt Nix and Frida's eyes fall to her, she froze. Were they expecting her to say something? There was no way she could respond to this new boy like they had. She didn't want trouble, all she wanted was to get this project done, was that too much to ask?
Alice eyes lit up as Nix agreed, he was going to help her out and even more from his comment, he understood what she was doing. "You will? Oh, thankyou. This is going to be so amazing, we'll make one hell of a team." She laughed, finally things were going good, hopefully there'd be no more problems. Although as Nix turned to Frida, she could see that her partner wasn't that impressed. She should of asked her new friend first, she just wasn't used to being in a team. Looking between the two she just hoped that they could get along, had Frida already made enemies with everybody? She seemed to be looking for a fight, yet Alice had seen with her own eyes that the girl wasn't as bad as her reputation suggested. She actually seemed fairly nice behind the whole hard as nails look, just nobody really took the time to look beneath that hard skin of hers. Nix's question though made her catch her breath, her hand instantly going up to rub her neck, "How long? Um, well I'm sorry but don't you know, all the projects are due today? That's why I'm so desperate for your help, I don't have time to search for a CD or somehow get a new one. I know it's asking a lot and you don't have to compose an entirely new piece, just adapt something you already know or even the one you performed earlier. It's just we need to perform by the end of the day, can you do that?" She should of known that it takes time to come up with music, how could she have been so naive to think he could just play something off the top of his head? "I can dance to absolutely anything, it's fine if it doesn't fit exactly, just as long as there is music." His other enquiry though made her just tilt her head, "Only three? Um, yeah, I suppose so. I hadn't even considered having other people in it. To be completely honest, this started off this morning as a solo project but because of the way things fell it's already up to three. Is this going to get confusing? So um, I suppose it's just us three but I'm pretty sure that together we'll blow the minds of our audience. If you can still do it, that is."
That would be 834, maybe I should post a little more~

You will experience a tingling sensation then death. Thankyou for your cooperation.
117 seconds, is that bad?
"Really?" Alice's eyes lit up, she'd never expected him to accept so quickly, well she hadn't actually explained everything yet but it was sounding positive, "Thankyou. Um, well for my project I'm doing a performance, so that basically means that I'm dancing/acting out a story almost. Frida here's helping me with some electrical special effects so it should be amazing." She gestured to Frida, hoping her new partner wouldn't mind her attempting to bringing someone else into it. Maybe she should of asked Frida if she minded before she asked for help, but she'd been too worried about what to do about the music she hadn't even thought about that. Anyway, if Nix didn't help then they were both stuffed, there was no performance without music. She guessed she could of looked some more but she had no idea where to start looking and that would cut into their precious time. Either way, it was a bit late to ask her new partner now. She smiled as she continued attempting to explain what she was doing, not really knowing how to put it into words, "It's to music of course and that's where I need your help as I've lost the music I had for it. I was hoping you could play something for me to perform to similar to what you did earlier." She paused, looking at him, she didn't want to say it directly but she was hoping that he might understand that like his what she was planning had a dangerous hidden meaning. She spoke quietly but each word was clear as could be. "It's about a prison break, like a rebellion. Being trapped and breaking free, fighting for freedom. You know? You have complete freedom over the music, I'm in a mess here so anything you play will be great. I can improvise and dance to anything but if you tried to make it fit the theme that'd be perfect. Please, it'd be a lot of help." She knew she was asking him to take another risk but she was hoping, that he would still help. If he didn't, she'd got a big problem. She looked up at Nix nervously, knowing that he currently held a lot of power over her. Despite being in the same class as Nix, she'd never really paid him much attention. Possibly because she tended to disappear into the background a lot, often literally and Nix didn't seem the type to draw much attention to himself either. He seemed like a fairly nice guy and if he helped her out of this sticky situation then in her mind, he was amazing. He wasn't bad looking and there was something about him that seemed to draw her in, made her want to know more. Still, she just hoped that his impressions of her weren't bad enough to put him off.
She actually agreed, despite what she'd got planned Frida had actually agreed to her crazy plan. Alice didn't know what to say, it made a change, her making ideas and working out what to do. She said she loved the idea, what were the chances of that? Maybe taking a risk every so often wasn't such a bad thing after all. Plus she'd managed to discover the girls name without the awkward moment where she had to ask for it. Things were starting to look up for her. "Really? Oh this is going to be so amazing. Um, let's shake on it." She held out her hand, "Frida we have a deal. Oh, if you don't already know I'm Alice Moon, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you." She laughed, slightly unsure what she was doing. "Um, well, you're not stupid, I trust you can use you power in the appropriate place and make it look fantastic. I'm not really going to boss you around when you know more about it than me. I'm not really that good at telling people what to do. Just I take it, you'll understand that you'll come in at the climax when things get really exciting. At the start it wouldn't really make sense. Here, listen to the music, you'll love it." She dashed across the room to the music player, half dragging Frida behind her. With a big grin on her face she carefully pressed the play button but no sound came out initially. "Wait for it, wait for it." She told Frida and looked back at it apprehensively, waiting for it to start. About 10 seconds later, the music player was still silent. Alice's forehead began to crease in confusion. "Why's it not- oh the CD isn't in. Silly me." She exclaimed as the opened the lid, shaking her head as she began to look through all the CDs at the side of it. "It should be around here somewhere, just bare with me. Sorry, I thought I'd left it in but clearly someone must have taken it out." She ran her finger along the line of CDs, flicking through cases, searching through all of them. She reached the end of the line, tilted her head slightly and began again at the beginning. "That's odd." She muttered but kept searching, though the longer she searched the more her smile dropped. Eventually, she turned round to her new friend, "I don't understand, it's got to be here somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere. It has to be here, I need that CD otherwise what am I supposed to do without music. I can't dance to no music. I've checked several times though" Her voice got faster and more panicky as she spoke, walking in a circle around Frida, physically unable to stay still. "I'm sorry, without that everything's ruined. I mean, where could I get music now? I need that stupid stupid CD." She paced up and down, not really paying much attention to anyone else, lost in her worries. She stopped moving. "Unless, hmm, you helped me so maybe, just maybe" She spoke quietly, looking down at the ground. Taking a deep breath, she swivelled round, "Nix! Nix!" She called and ran over to him. She didn't know him that well, she'd only spoken to him a few times before but she just hoped on the off chance. "Um, hi,this is going to sound so weird but I really need your help." She rubbed her neck nervously, "I heard what you did earlier, it was amazing, incredible and the subtleties, just wow. But, um, I've kinda, well, I've sort of lost my music for my project and, uh, I was wondering if you'd...you know..um, help me out. Please?" She just felt so silly right now, she just needed to ask if he'd play the music for her performance but she just couldn't work out how to say it.
Whyy?? Please don't die. Who will kill you?
