So I built a computer for a friend of mine yesterday and I am now sad because I realized that my computer sucks in comparison.

I'm just going to stop replying to this thread, you aren't understanding anything I am trying to say. Not worth my time.

The fact that you feel entitled is the problem then, I tried to put it as gently as possible before and gave you the benefit of the doubt in my previous posts. You didn't get what you wanted, life sucks. You either learn to live with it, or you make everything harder for yourself. It's your call.

You can stop caring about anything if you want to.

Here is the thing though, you aren't entitled to a "quality debate" from anyone who disagrees with you. Some people just feel like they want to end the conversation because they just don't want to continue it. Maybe you were bothering the person, idk. The problem here is, you are ignoring the potential chance that you are "in the wrong". Approach these debates from with a more humble and less emotional standpoint.

People can/do react like that in life, if there was a "dislike" button, they would do that instead. Derep, dislike, etc. Did you perhaps consider that they just didn't want to waste their time arguing about something and just derepped you because they thought it was a good time to do so?

The rep system has nothing to do with people "not explaining themselves". People can be quite lazy, I have attempted to type out replies to people before on this forum and in texts etc and many times I have just deleted it all before I sent/posted it. Chances are you wouldn't be complaining about it that much if they just dropped it, but because they dropped it and gave you a tiny red square, it becomes a problem.

Also about the whole "winning" thing, its subjective. If in their minds they think they won, they did. You reacting to it this way only makes them win even more. Don't take this as disrespect or whatever, it's not that. This isn't personal. I am just trying to explain something here. That being said, you care about this a lot. If you didn't you wouldn't have made a thread about it. It might be best for you if you just stop caring about someone "winning" an argument or someone "one upping you" in a forum post. In the grand scheme of things, it only matters if you make it matter. If you choose to not care, then derep is just a tiny red square. Giving something that much emotional weight isn't good for you.

I said gamestop sucks because it's a company with a terrible reputation (inb4everycompanyhasthat).

Nobody here was trying to make any of this personal. We were merely stating our own opinion based on the topic at hand, ya know...like a real conversation.

If life is going not so well right now I am really sorry to hear that but you can't expect people to filter themselves especially without warning like "Ohey this is a serious convo". Plus by posting this in a non serious section that is just asking for replies like "GameStop sucks".

Good luck with everything but you shouldn't take the stuff said in this thread so seriously.

Also it's probably not the wisest choice to emotionally invest yourself into a thread about a retail store.
