    Fish

    Have a fish nailed
    To a cross
    On my apartment wall
It sings to me with glassy eyes
    And quotes from Kafka
    I sings to me

An eel is squirming on my couch
    He’s talking up a storm
    I’m laughing at his face
He slithers down across the floor
    I’m laughing

    I
    Have a man
It follows my hips with his hands
    Don’t worry (I’m laughing)
Dance in the road (I have a man)
    And it explodes
(It follows my lips with his melting eyes)
    Don’t worry
    Dance in the road

Fellow turns a fishy eye from the counter
    I feel at his hand
    Stalking in the grey
    The girl behind the counter
    Sees a fin (school)

An eel slithers to the chalkboard
    It writes 1 plus 1 plus 2 plus 3 plus 4 plus 5
    plus 6 plus 6 plus 6 plus 6 plus 6 plus 6
    Don’t worry
    Dance in the road
    And it explodes
    Don’t worry
    Dance in the road

    The house is reeling
    I’m kneeling by the tub
    Lonely is as lonely does
    Lonely is an eyesore
    The feeling describes itself

    I
    Have a man
It follows my hips with his hands
    I’m laughing
    At a man
It follows my lips with his melting eyes

    Don’t worry
    Dance in the road
    And it explodes
    Don’t worry
    Dance in the road
    Eye...

I’m painting his eye in the middle of the floor
Fish is frozen in my living room
Stares out of a block of ice
With one melting eye... eye... eye...
    (Whoo!) Aced it
    Sick

with your help. So, lab rats-- I mean, no, that's wrong of me. It slipped. A thousand pardons. Test subjects. Is that any better? Curious folks (and only the curious), I need your help. I wish to conduct an experiment, but alas, I've not the materials required of me. And tbh, I am too lazy to go and grab them, to run to the nearest dollar store. And it's too late for that, too late in the night. BUT. But, and this is where you come in! One of you luckies just might.

    THE EXPERIMENT: The Ganzfeld Effect
    consists of
    1) a ping pong ball
    2) a radio + headphones
    3) a red light

    THE PROCEDURE
    consists of
    1) turn on the radio to a station with only white noise, put on headphones
    2) cut the ping pong ball in half, tape each half over your eye
    3) turn the red light so that it faces your eyes
    4) sit for at least half an hour
    5) ???
    6) PROFIT. KEEP TRIPPIN'

    FOR REFERENCE

    Same difference.

edit: hah, the mimicry was entirely unintentional. He must have affected my subconscious, Llave did, the words just slithered right in. I thought at first that Amaury had misquoted...

You are not unlike the forum's own Beatrichee then?? how many e, I guess two, I didn't know her name till now. But I randomly recall, from some stalking probably, that her parents named her something dissenting, something sounding suspiciously foreign. Though she is of American origin.

At first I thought you a bullshitter, but then a quick google search revealed that Amaury is an actual name. You are of German origin?

    Robert Frost

A speck that would have been beneath my sight
On any but a paper sheet so white
Set off across what I had written there.
And I had idly poised my pen in air
To stop it with a period of ink
When something strange about it made me think,
This was no dust speck by my breathing blown,
    But unmistakably a living mite
With inclinations it could call its own.
It paused as with suspicion of my pen,
And then came racing wildly on again
    To where my manuscript was not yet dry;
Then paused again and either drank or smelt--
With loathing, for again it turned to fly.
Plainly with an intelligence I dealt.
It seemed too tiny to have room for feet,
Yet must have had a set of them complete
To express how much it didn't want to die.
It ran with terror and with cunning crept.
    It faltered: I could see it hesitate;
Then in the middle of the open sheet
Cower down in desperation to accept
Whatever I accorded it of fate.
I have none of the tenderer-than-thou
    Collectivistic regimenting love
With which the modern world is being swept.
But this poor microscopic item now!
Since it was nothing I knew evil of
I let it lie there till I hope it slept.

I have a mind myself and recognize
Mind when I meet with it in any guise
No one can know how glad I am to find
On any sheet the least display of mind.

I have been listening to this little clip, non-stop, loop de loop... I haven't even the song full-length. must find. Will be singing it in my sleep at this rate. Wow, I need to watch this show. The Japanese opening to the older series is just as much an earworm. Catchier than the original Finnish op for sure, imo.

I think I've breached. Of YouTube, at least. Clicked a related video, and it brought me to this. Hum. Deepest depths of the internet indeed. I do not even know what to make of this.

    Quote Bucket

For any snippets of text and the like that hold which you want to remember, are of some significance to you. If the quotee is known, it would be appreciated if you mentioned the name, following after the quote itself is fine. It will be interesting to glimpse into your interests, and you might perhaps garner interest in sharing their quotes.

"I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity." -Edgar Allan Poe

"Our senses enable us to perceive only a minute portion of the outside world." -Nikola Tesla

"Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves. -Mitch Albom

"I feel like people treat me oddly, as if I were mentally insane and sometimes it rubs off on me and I think that I am mentally insane. Whenever I am interacting with people I always feel as if I'm a bit mentally ill." -backspace

The last is a quote from a user on another forum... It's stuck with me.

Does it fit into your mouth? Or does it loll. Not to come off a meanie, not to poke fun of. I'm genuinely curious. I would imagine it does fit, because surely if it didn't you will have said so, that would be a hassle. So I imagine.

I discovered Deadball P via P himself. Yes, our P led me to DP. Praise the Pika. Also, there were other lesser known songs I liked by him, but am not posting because they are not subbed. So few of his are, and his lyrics deserve a read; he puts thought into them, it's not without meaning. Lots of sexual undertones within his works, I'm noticing.

I used to drink water infrequently, with not so much as a cup a day. On average, I would say I had drunk a cup every two days... or something like. Couple that with selective mutism, and underused voice, and you get a rather hoarse sound. It's better now, I think. I drink more water now.

I had a crush on my older brother, long ago. 'Twas my first crush. I followed him like a lost puppy, and he and his friends were always vexed. He was an idol. I should say, this was very long ago. I couldn't have been more than 6 or 7.

    Body Posture

How is yours? Mine is bad, my mother noticed when I rode horseback and pointed it out. Now I am trying to correct it, but it requires so much effort, the supposedly "natural" feels unnatural; the "correct" feels incorrect. I naturally slump, the spine is wont to slump... like a grandma, I'll be. I lack energy too, the forum's resident granny here.

I would have posted this in Discussions, but I find that I prefer the spam zone. Straight to the trash bin, they go: not worthy of serious consideration, these half-thought thoughts are not.
