"What can be considered human emotions? Surely not only lyricism, sadness, tragedy? Doesn't laughter also have a claim to that lofty title? I want to fight for the legitimate right of laughter in 'serious' music."

"The withering away of illusions is a long and dreary process, like a toothache. But you can pull out a tooth. Illusions, dead, continue to rot within us. And stink. And you can't escape them. I carry all of mine around with me."

"I always try to make myself as widely understood as possible, and if I don't succeed I consider it's my own fault."

This is an insightful observation, or would be, except the stimulus for this thread was not a person calling me predictable. It was you calling Makaze predictable that stimulated me into action. That was, I think I will be open, foolish of you. But I would be irked by anyone else calling another predictable, don't mistake it for loyalty. It's just exactly that that irked me: your observations are right, and you contradicted them. You can't possibly know him so well so as to claim him predictable with absolute conviction. It was a shallow decision.

I do however realise that you did not say, "You're predictable," but "You're becoming predictable."
    Still...

Next question: Do you consider yourself predictable?
I do not know if it warrants another thread.

So, the KH-Vidians under Vivi's dark oppression were unable to align to the right. "We want rights!" they cried. He payed their feeble cries no heed. The righties have been outlawed, this is a twisted world we live in, wherein the lefties succeed in the hierarchy. Once the minority, they rejoice. Majority wins! Natural selection wipes the righties out completely. The righties have no rights, and all that remains of their lifetime's fight is a blister on the right hand.

They are either dead, or are rehabilitating: gotta hold that pen in the left hand, lest they want for an execution.

Do you find people to be predictable? To be honest, I find the most predictable of people to be the ones that call others out on their predictability. No, perhaps that is not it. Perhaps it is that these people are the ones that annoy me most, and so I would like to belittle them and say, hah, you mister are more predictable than us all! But that is probably not it. I want to belittle them because I think them too self-assured for their own good, they think that they can track the predictabilities themselves, and separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak. How mindblowingly all-knowing they must be, to be able to call us out on our own predictable patterns *sarcasm*. Who are they, to call anyone else "predictable"? As if they are any less predictable. As if they have not ever had a predictable day themselves. As if the predictable person's predictability is a surprise-- get this, a surprise. It should not be.

Me, I do not think people "predictable". But I am beyond being surprised. They just do, or they don't do. Predictable or not? You decide.

    P.S. I don't know

More predictable yet is your claiming him predictable himself. People's predictability should be predictable by now. I claim you predictable for claiming him predictable, I too must be predictable under my own logic. It does not defy it. I can be predictable, too.

    And what's wrong with that?

P.S. Oh predictable one, you have inspired me to make a thread. No joke. I'll go and make it now.

    gibberish, I finish

    "So let's say," you say.
    "No." I say, I finish
    your sentence for you.

    You want to ask,
    you want to say.

    "Why?"

    "I won't say,"
    I say.

    "Why?"

    You want to ask,
    you want to say.

    "No," I say, "I finish
    that sentence for you."

    "Are you a mind reader?"
    you want to say,
    you want to ask.

    "That was an unvoiced thought,"
    you were meaning to say.
    "No."

    I finish lamely.

Direct interactions I do not consider a possibility, with a few exceptions. I could hardly order a sandwich at the grocery store without panicking, for Christ's sake, it is more than likely that I will leave before I will accomplish any of the set goals.

    Goals
    a) Find Makaze. Do stuff with Makaze.
    b) Sometime later on after stuff has been done, drag him into a conversation with Sforzato (note: say hi to forzie). I would be giddy to see this.
    c) Observe Jayn, observe Ashwin.
    d) Stalk/Leave

Enough posts from me, she should shut it. Oh, she should. Misty has inspired me to post some from a book. Let The Right One In, Eli. I can think of no other book characters that I strongly identify with. It would do me good to read some more, or at least, to read something other than children's books. I am still in that phase. Anyways, Eli. Elias. "She" is a male.

Curious. In response to a user inquiring about my profile icon (Cloud):

Such fine literacy you possess, and you are of such mature taste it puts me to shame. Here I am, going on about anime/manga characters and you bring up characters from classics. The ignorant one, I am just a tad jealous.

Which fictional characters (from any form of media, be it anime/manga, videogame, novel, film, etc.) do you identify with? If any?

It is likely that I've made a thread similar to this in the past, it feels familiar. But if I have, I cannot remember/cannot bother to check. And, as we've plenty of newer members now, this thread is worth a shot anyhow. Pictures/descriptions of your character(s) are not required, but appreciated. I will not like to describe my characters, in doing so I will have to describe myself... I don't want to, but I damn well realise that if I don't, the repliers (you) will likely not. And I am interested in who the people identify with. A price to pay, obligated to speak of myself. So... prepare for some half-assed descriptions. Feel free to wing it, too.

...they are similar to me in emotional range. Still, I can't help but feel a very key trait is missing. Curiouser and curiouser. Curiosity. They can be, but they couldn't be any more curious than your average person. And curiosity is a very defining trait, for me. I am often told to stop asking questions. I don't.

    toads

    Anorexic

Anna loved dinosaurs. Each morning she would be found beside
the great Oak, with plastic Tyrannosaurus firmly in hand,
    roaring obscenities.

One day Anna decided she would become a dinosaur.
"Dinosaurs aren't real," said her brother.
"they are now extinct." continued her pa.
    "Egad!" went her ma.

"You are a young lady and will grow up to be such,
those brutish things are for boys only!"

But Anna would not have it.
a dino was she, so she thought,
    and so she'd be.

    She thought and she thought,
    and her brain stormed a great big brainstorm;
till finally she conceived of an idea one night,
eyes glued to the telly, which was broadcasting
    a documentary on eating disorders.

She presented her idea at the dinner table the next day,
she thought it foolproof, and she thought it very clever.
Needless to say, her parents did not think it either.

"I will become Anna-rex-ick," she said.

Do I love. Yes? No? It is a trap. It is curious, that I will say that I love a person in their presence and then feel inclined to say otherwise when afront a different audience. You might suspect (and I did) that I am lying to one of you, but I don't think it so. Not to my knowledge, at least. This poll, I feel inclined to say no. But that cannot be so. Do I love? Do I? Y...nnn... eeeeaaaa

I'll avoid this question at all costs. Yes, I'll say, I love. I love to the best of my ability, though I cannot guarantee it is enough.

I want to quote someone. Her words struck a chord with me, too true. Sometimes I agree with this, sometimes I disagree; at current I don't fully agree, but my thoughts are irrelevant. It is food for thought, regardless.

My humor gone unnoticed once more. I was being sarcastic, I had hoped it would go noticed given the option d, fourth one: I'm a dog, and I'm insecure about my breath. I am not so humorless, it's just that few get it.
