There was something Gwen quite liked about being the only one who got to see the Queen when she wasn't all dressed up and elegant, with her guard down. It was nice to see and made her seem not so different from everyone else. Just because she was Queen, didn't mean it wasn't hard to wake up some days and she had bad hair days too, although it was part of her job to sort that out before anyone got to see. Either way, on the whole Abigail was fairly good at getting out of bed, it didn't normally take too much work (of course there were exceptions). Gwen's face beamed when Abigail commented on the dress, she was nervous about picking one most days but today was important so there was an added layer of pressure. "I'm glad you like it, my Lady, we have to have you looking nice in front of our guests" She said politely, attempting to not let her relief show in her voice. She walked over and carefully picked up the dress, they'd done this many times before. There was a screen set up so that she could change her undergarments without her seeing and then she could help her into the many layers of the dress. It was a complicated thing and not the easiest but plenty of practice of doing it, meant it didn't take that long. "Where will you be taking your breakfast today? Also will you be needing me to do any specific tasks?" She asked, working out what needed to be done now and attempting to work out her plans for the day. She'd planned a little beforehand but she had to keep herself flexible as the Queen's needs came before daily errands, also with so much going on today, there was no knowing what she'd be required to do.
Can I nominate Bushy Brow, Feenie and Dinny?
[/url] Alice had slowly walked round the room, still invisible back to her group, while watching the performance. This guy wasn't bad at all but she wasn't really the biggest fan of overly dramatic monologues, they just seemed a little too over the top and drawn out for her liking. He wasn't bad at it and from what she could understand from it, it was fairly interesting. So there was a god or demon or something living inside his body? That was pretty cool. It did make her wonder how much of this was just to make it impressive and how much actually went on normally in his body. She had no idea what it would be like to have another being sharing your body. However, she couldn't pay as much attention to the performance as she'd liked to as she happened to be passing by Hunter as he made his comment. Stupid art class sissy? Is that what he really thought they all were? They weren't that bad. What was so bad about being creative? They might not be as willing as other classes to fight but that didn't make them sissies. They could fight if they wanted to. He'd been nice enough to her but was that just a front? Did he really think she was just pathetic? That hurt. She just stood staring at him, grateful for her invisibility and while she stood there Frida got in on it too. Those two fought, it was nothing serious but still, she thought they'd actually put their differences aside and now they were just like this. She looked back at Sam performing and smiled at his impressive flames. This was just going to eat her up, she knew it would, she had to do something. But what if he hated for it? What if he turned on her? She could always vanish.Taking a deep breath, she stood directly in front of Hunter with her arms crossed and suddenly became visible, appearing out of thin air. "Hey. Would you mind repeating what you said about R-Classes? Is that what you really think? Of me? Of Nix? They guy you weren't happy with isn't even in my class, so would you mind not making assumptions?" She asked, her voice still quieter than normal speaking volume. She was shaking and wanted to turn back invisible so much but she didn't. She stood there, gazing up at him, waiting for his answer.
Gwen had already been up for a while, working hard. The castle was a hive of activity, only one more day to the wedding and everything had to be perfect. The King of Lazinth arrived today and they had to put on a show for him. Considering how long the two countries had been at war, he wasn't going to be an easy man to please and upsetting him might have disastrous consequences. However, everyone was working so hard and maybe, just maybe this could work out. Peace would be an amazing thing. Either way, she had to leave here and attend to the Queen. She entered the Queen's chambers quietly, though that was redundant considering what she was there to do. She got out the Queen's outfit for the new day and made sure everything was already prepared as usual. Then smiled as she went over to the large curtains covering the Queen's windows and opened them wide. Nobody could see in even with them open so she didn't have to worry about that. "Good Morning, Abigail, big day today. Wedding tomorrow and the King of Lazinth arriving soon. You need to be ready." She spoke to the queen, in company she would be much more formal but in private she could afford to be a bit lax with the formalities.
Idnightmay? Is that right?
Apologises!! *Injects with something* Let's get you all cured. I'd suggest rest and drinking a lot, on top of what I do as a precaution but with a bit of luck you'll feel better in no time.
Personally I prefer Monogamy where you get with one person and stay faithful to them. I probably wouldn't participate in polygamy as I like a relationship to be a special thing between two people. I wouldn't do anything sexual or the like with anybody outside of a proper relationship. I think it is definitely possible for two people to remain faithful and in love with each other for the rest of their lives, I have seen several instances of it, although sadly quite often that doesn't work out. In terms of marriage though, that is not something that should be rushed into and I'll probably have several relationships (at different times) before making that commitment. However, got talking to a friend today who is just about the exact opposite of me on this. He doesn't believe in monogamy and being restricted to one person. He told me that he wouldn't ever get into a relationship, in this century people should be free. (Following this, he's unlikely to get married.) This concept is a bit alien to me, it took me a bit to wrap my head around but it was interesting to hear. I think things like that can work, everyone's different so it's just what works for you. It's nice to have a range of views and it works out fine as long as everyone understands and respects each others opinions.
http://phoboslab.org/ztype/ I'm absolutely awful at this, I'm so slow!!
The Queen's hand servant smiled as the watched the proceeding's unfold as the citizen's of the kingdom came to them with their problems, she hadn't missed very much and this was entertaining to watch. It also showed her both the kinder side to the rulers and how they gave justice out. It gave her hope. The farm girl who had just entered intrigued her and she loved watching the Queen being diplomatic but as she came in, someone else entered through the servants entrance to summon her. She was not needed right now there by the Queen and the Princess was important right now so she quickly slipped out. However she informed the guards where she was going and if the Queen needed her, where to send for her. She had to be back for when the Queen retired to her chambers regardless. She moved swiftly through the castle, they had told her that the Princess was drunk? What had happened down in town for someone of her status to get drunk, especially with the Captain with her. She hadn't expected the Captain to allow her to get drunk and showcase herself in that state. Either way, if this had caused a mess, she hoped that she could help and not just make it worse. Thing's tended to get unpredictable when alcohol was involved and that made her uneasy. She did not know what to expect when she got there. She reached the Princess's room quickly, finding the key to the room where she'd been told it would be. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door, "Princess? It's Gwen, I'm going to come in if you don't mind" She'd unlocked the door and tentatively opened it, "Hey, are you alright?" She did not try and force herself on the princess, initially, waiting to see if she was okay. She had to stay and help regardless but it was much easier if Kaileigh allowed her too. If she felt Gwen was forcing her to do something, she was more likely to work against her.
...I don't get what's so good about her but she's British so that's cool.
Oooh it works~
Old music is the best, there are some real gems if you look.
Ari just stood there for a moment, over the man she'd just knocked unconscious. She'd done it. She'd actually done it and not got hurt. She'd been in a few little fights using her powers before but nothing like this. Well nothing that she remembered at least, from she could remember this was the first time she'd actually knocked someone unconscious. Wow. Wait, the other robber, were the others okay?? Breaking out of her trance she looked around to see the others. She let a sigh of relief when she saw the other robber on the ground but her forehead creased slightly when she saw the others crowding aroun- oh no. She quickly ran over to the others, as she realised what had happened. "Oh my god. Are you okay?" Stupid question. Of course, she wasn't but what else was she supposed to say? She could help surely, but she hadn't seen any vids on how to deal with anything like this. Either way, thankfully Nick was taking charge of the situation. With a shaking hand, Ari took her phone out to see if she could find anything to help only to see no signal. She could only watch and hope Thallen would be okay. With a bit of luck the ambulance should be there soon. What would the police make to this mess? How would they explain it?
The princess didn't seem thrilled at the prospect of an escort which was understandable but given the circumstances now she'd been discovered by the Captain, that was going to be the best she could get. They seemed to realise that too and accept it, Gwen felt a little sorry for them that the Captain had found her but what was done was done. Kaileigh's next comment though make her smile, it was nice when someone as important as her would enjoy the company of a servant girl. "Thank you, that means a lot to me. I would like that too. It has been an honour and a pleasure to talk to you, Princess." She bowed her head once more to both of them, she would have curtsied but it was hard with the arms full before turning to go. She hurried down the corridor quickly, she'd probably be held up by that chat for longer than she should have so now she had to hurry to put this dress away and get down to the Queen. They were meeting someone from the village soon and she really should be there for that incase anything is needed. Putting the dress away, didn't take too long though she was careful not to rush doing that. She did not want to be responsible for creasing the dress. However as soon as that was put away nicely in the Queen's chambers, she raced out of the room and back down the stairs. With a bit of luck the Queen would still be eating with the King. In not much time at all she was stood outside their dining room, catching her breath, it would not be good to go in panting. Once she'd recovered, she silently entered through the servants entrance so that her arrival was barely noticeable. Once there she took her position silently at the side of the room, to be there if the Queen (or King as she couldn't really not do what he asked) wanted her to do anything.
For the headband it depends how good you want it to be and if you're prepared to do sewing. A pretty simple way is to get a normal head band and glue some white lacy fabric onto it. There are various yt vids on it, like here or here or here.
Arianna smiled thankfully at Teagen as she covered for her and made sure she could keep her phone, her phone was precious to her and she could not afford to lose it. She was a good actor and now she really owed her, which wasn't great when she needed to ask her a favour. She really had to find a way to pay her back somehow. Before she figured out how, she got the message from Nick to be ready for his signal. So they were doing something. This should be fun, she just hoped they'd manage to do this without anyone getting hurt. She sort of wanted to get straight in there and stop this as soon as but Nick clearly had a plan, so it was better for her to wait her turn. Plus she knew full well she couldn't take on all three, especially with guns involved. She watched as one by one they started doing subtle little things, they weren't that obvious but put together and when she knew they were going to ask, she could easily tell they were all doing something even if it wasn't clear what. She would bet money that when Thallen walked to the bathroom with the bank worker, it was not to vomit. Ari wasn't certain what she did but by the look on Thallen's face after, it worked. The bank worker disappeared into the vault with on of the robbers, leaving just two left with them. ...And then all hell broke loose. Out of nowhere there was suddenly robot rabbits?? Must be Teagen's. As well as smoke rapidly filled the room, setting off the fire alarm, she wasn't sure who had caused that but there were gunshots and everything was turning into madness. Through it all, she was finally given the signal to fight the bird man. She didn't waste a moment. He was already unarmed so she didn't need to worry about that. Within seconds she was racing towards, doing a somersault to launch herself into the air and come down on him feet first into his chest in order to knock him over, with such force as her momentum and entire body weight was behind it. She kicked herself off him, flipping herself back into the air to land on her feet in front of him. She paused for a single moment working out what to do, before launching into a series of quick attacks in order to knock him unconscious. Physically she just had the strength of a fit and very slightly muscular teenage girl but all her moves had perfect technique and she knew exactly where to hit to have the most effect. Pressure points were fun to use.
Gwen smiled as he apologised, she'd half expected him to tell her off for being bold enough to talk to him like that. She was glad he hadn't. She nodded as he explained what his duties were, she'd heard this before, although she hadn't expected him to include her in those he had to protect. Servants were often simply disregarded as not important, she might be a higher-ranking servant but that was still below everyone else. Plus she was right, he did know her name despite not using it that often. No, they did not want her to wander about and potential ruin something, they wanted to keep her prisoner. She really wasn't proud of her kingdom sometimes. There was plenty of nice people in the kingdom but with the king in charge, he just made all of them look like evil monsters to the other kingdom. What he said next took her completely by surprise though, he came to a compromise. She really wan't used to being listened to and her words making a difference, well outside the queen at least. It was a fairly good compromise too, it might not give her quite the level of freedom as before but it meant she didn't have to worry about getting caught and she was protected. It also meant that she wouldn't run away from the wedding, though that one she hoped the princess wouldn't anyway. This might hopefully even give her a better opinion of their kingdom, they weren't all bad. Gwen smiled happily and nodded her head, turning to the Princess to see what she thought of the new development. Okay, maybe the Captain wasn't all bad, he did have his moments.
Gwen didn't stop smiling when the princess asked for directions, she was polite and seemed quite nice. She'd met people who treated servants an awful lot worse, she'd be nice to see around. It crossed her mind that the princess might try to escape but surely she knew how important this was and if she got out and felt happier then it was more likely to go smoothly then if she was unhappy from being locked up. She just hoped she'd return after her trip out, "Sure. You can use the servant's exit if you like which is-" She cut off as she heard footsteps approaching, looking round to see the captain she knew that with him around the Princess was unlikely to get out. Turning back to the princess she mouthed a silent apology, that she made sure the Captain couldn't see. The moment he started talking she found to her dismay that she'd been right, regardless she didn't want to show the Captain that. With him around, she really couldn't blame the princess for wanting to get out for a bit. "Captain" She bowed her head respectfully but then she quietly laughed good-heartedly. "But at ease dear maiden? Do you ever take a break from being so formal? I'm not a soldier and it wouldn't kill you to use my name for once. Surely you must know it by now, we've known each other long enough. Either way, if you insist. Be sure to treat her well, she's a guest not a prisoner." She smiled sweetly, she knew she was possibly pushing her luck here. The Captain was as strict as anything and she didn't really like the way he acted sometimes but she'd come to be one of the few people in the Kingdom who actually wasn't scared of him. He just needed lightening up a little, plus having the Queen's protection gave her a little more freedom.
Gwen had had a busy day, she hadn't stopped at all. She'd been serving the queen all day and running errands, from helping the Queen dress (some of her fancier dresses aren't exactly easy to get into) to making sure all the food was ready with the birds (though Abigail liked to do a proportion of the birds care herself) and right now she'd just had to go get one of her dresses repaired after it got tore quite badly. She often did minor repairs herself but this one was above her skill level. It was repaired now though and she was quickly returning it, walking quickly through the castle with the newly repaired dress folded up neatly in her arms. However, after quickly rounding a corner she stopped in surprise seeing the princess. "Oh! Hello, your highness, I wasn't expecting to see you here." She bowed her head respectfully and tried to curtsy though she found that difficult with her arms full. "Is everything alright? I hope the castle is to your liking." She smiled brightly and just hoped the King was treating her well, this wedding was a sign of hope for everyone, she only feared that the king would ruin it somehow. The princess was actually quite beautiful but from what she'd seen of the Princess so far, she had a feeling there was much more to them than simply looks. "I can give you directions if you're heading anywhere in particular, I can understand if you want to get out for a bit."
