It was taking too long, the ones that waited outside were hissing in impatience, and wanted their meal already. Alana scanned the area to see if there were any runaways from the inside, but it appeared not.

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard from the inside, that caught all of their attentions. The head pawn commanded as many as she could to stop from running in, but more had run in then she had wanted. They all liked hunting prey, even if it fought back.

Alana released a grin as a second swarm of about 23 ran inside.

The craving of blood consumed the possessed as they walked about Carlisle. The humanity was gone, but this one demon was still at the head of the pack. It was the shell of the human once known as Alana, but was now just the head pawn of a group of pawns.

All of them were hungry, and had been wandering the area in search for prey for the longest time. No one was left in easy catch, especially in Carlisle, but Alana would not leave yet. She was told not to.

It was around 4 am when they all stopped together at one joyous thing: there was a smell in the air of fresh meat in the area. They all rushed quickly in pursuit of such a meal. They found themselves in front of a hotel, and a few straying on their own that were going inside for their chance at it.

Alana licked her lips but refrained from going in herself. Instead, she twitched her head and allowed her numbers to go in and collect. This would be a good time for them all. Who knew how many bodies would be in there for them to sink their teeth into.

❝ It's fine. That's what I get for being proud. I've seemed to have lost my touch, so my punishment wasn't all bad. I actually did something useful because of it. Here, give me your ankle. I can fix it. ❞​

Her fixing his ankle was probably the greatest feeling he had in his life. The pain had almost completely disappeared as it fixed, and he only felt numbness on his ankle, "Thank you so much..."​

❝ You should get some rest Adam. You're going to feel even worse in the morning and the more sleep you get the better. ❞​

Adam nodded and was helped up and then taken back to the bedroom. He felt more exhausted than the day before because of the mixture of pain and well... exhaustion. When they got to the room, Bonnie had kissed him, and then she left. He went over to his bed and layed down and went to close his eyes before he heard a distorted voice in his head and he responded before he passed out.​

Although she was unsure if anyone had noticed, Cassandra had made her first kill. It was scary for her because she had no idea what she was doing and had killed on instinct because the creature... the thing, had just attacked her. She wasn't going to just drop dead, and in the end she didn't. But killing just felt... off for her. She didn't like it, but she knew she would be dong more of it.​

Four of the men chose to guard, so Cassandra just chose to sit in the room and make sure Hana would be okay. Alistair earlier checked on Hana, complimented Hana's hair, and then left. It was the first time Cassandra really bothered to pay attention to Hana's hair, which of course she knew was red she wasn't colorblind, she just hadn't payed much attention to the detail. And it really was gorgeous hair.

She continued to stay up, and helped Hana with whenever she needed something, but kept falling asleep when she wasn't needed.

Adam had the put the television on just to have background noise. It was playing something he wasn't paying attention to, he just needed noise in the background because it was too quiet.​

For the past several hours, he had been mentally training with Semyaza, and he was feeling drained from that. But it numbed out the pain he was feeling everywhere. The first two hours were just repeated stories from Semyaza's point of view, going into more detail than Bonnie had when she told them. But at the same time, he heard it in a much different tone.​

The first part sounded relatively the same, a leader very sure and in tune with itself, picking the correct words and choosing the correct actions to inspire others. Near the end, was where things had gotten different. Semyaza explained to him their punishment before the reincarnation cycles.​

One of the many things Semyaza had done during the rebellion was impregnate a hell of a lot of women, and as a result Nephilum were born, which Adam learned what they were quickly. Heaven couldn't deal with the presence of Nephilum and they captured Adam and others that they couldn't remember, and forced him to watch the great flood occur, which Adam was impressed turned out to be a legitimate thing. God told a known son of Adam to build an Ark and the story of Noah's Ark took form. After watching all the Nephilum perish they were thrown into the reincarnation cycles, but Semyaza said they did not recall whether or not they chose to partake. Semyaza was certain he didn't choose to.​

It may sound like nothing, having had so many children for the fun of it just to have them be lost... but... it still felt like losing children, and it is one of the reasons I can't forgive God.​

The next few hours were far from storytelling, it was mental abuse to it's full extent. He wasn't sure how he was doing it, but Semyaza was bringing him back different memories in his head and showing him good times and bad times. Memories he's never forget and memories he wanted to forget.​

There were moments that Semyaza idolized, like his strike from his job a year ago. Apparently, he had shown he was a true leader from that just based on his actions and the words he chose.​

It isn't that you have never had potential. It is just you aren't confident in yourself anymore. This is your weakness. To be able to lead, you need to be able to believe in yourself. And you said it yourself... you think just believing in yourself is a ridiculous waste of time.​

But it is.​

It is far from a waste of time Adam. No one follows a man who wouldn't follow himself.​

The last hour was agreed upon, and was the reason Adam was exhausted at this point. Adam was hosting him for short periods of time, but Semyaza was giving him control at the same time. It was because if Semyaza didn't take complete control, it wouldn't be as exhausting. It was still pretty damn exhausting.​

At one point, Adam had completely blacked out, and Semyaza stopped. He was at that point, appearing to stare at the television screen. He was slowly regaining consciousness.​

Adam heard a knock on the wall and he turned his head and saw Bonnie.​

He was so glad she didn't shout. Adam turned more towards her and let out, "Hey."​

❝ Are you you okay? Tried my hardest to not have Temeluchas sent to train you but ya' know, when you're in trouble, you're in trouble. ❞​

Adam chuckled a bit and pulled up the leg the demon had attacked before his boost of defense. It was wrapped up at this point, but he unwrapped it and showed the giant gash on his leg, "It feels like someone cut off my ankle and it now trying to saw at my bone." he covered it back up as he continued, "Sorry for getting you in trouble for um..." Adam looked up from covering it and looked Bonnie in the eyes and grinned the way Semyaza had made him the day before, which felt off to him but he didn't change it, "Being lazy apparently."​

This conversation went from a general question to the idea of branding people with numbers. And as much as I would love to have 34131 tattooed forever to my body I just imagine people thinking I was part of some cult and that it was symbolic.

"What does the number mean?"​

"It represents how many souls I have collected...it actually means I joined a website after 34130 people did..."​

"No, Semyaza, Hell is not feeling mistreated."​

"We are just taking back what is rightfully ours! As for my name Adam, I am surprised your little friend hasn't told you about me yet. My name is Temeluchas, Chief Angel of Torment."​

Adam's reaction when he heard the name was an interesting one. It looked like a cross between i knew that and I never would have guessed. Adam remembered the name being brought up a couple of times by Bonnie. Maybe it was just that he wasn't expecting a girl.​

​

Angels aren't gender-bound.​

​

Adam's face reacted to that tid bit of information. then noticed Temeluchas staring him directly in the eyes,"You could lead, if you really gave it a shot, but with that attitude, you will never amount to anything."​

​

Something about that last sentence irritated him, but he didn't have much time to think about it before they both appeared back in the house at the snap of fingers.​

"I need to be going now. When I come back, you better be doing better."​

Uh huh, exactly how am I supposed to be doing be-​

I believe Lu means better with the attitude.​

Lu? I thought her name was Temeluchas.​

It is just Temeluchas shortened a lot of angels do that. Imagine having to say "Temeluchas" all the time.​

Adam watched the Angel of Torment leave and just stood there doing absolutely nothing​

"Are you serious? You mean to say that while she was destroying your school, causing earthquakes, possessing your classmates, and holding you hostage, you never once thought to ask why she needed you to train and get stronger?"​

Adam sighed, she had a point. It wasn't the first thing on his mind at the time, at any time. He assumed he would figure it out later anyway, from it being brought up in a conversation or something. ​

He still didn't know this one's name yet.​

It took him a moment to realize she was laughing and tears were coming out of her eyes, "It isn't that funny."​

"I'm not sure if I should be impressed by her ability to so completely bend you over her knee, or shocked by your utter lack of stupidity. Either way, it is probably best if you know."​

The girl snapped her fingers and the sword he was holding disappeared.​

"There is a war coming. A war that will bring us equality with the angels that still live in Paradise. She has been telling you stories of your past, correct?"​

Adam nodded and listened when she continued.​

"You were a leader and we need you to lead again. If you are at the forefront of our army, then the other Fallen Angels are bound to follow your lead and side with us as well. There are some that think equality is bad and are fighting to keep us from gaining more power and seizing control."​

It took a moment to sink in and then all of a sudden Adam found himself laughing, but it was a mixture of a laugh almost at a joke and a fearful laugh. "You want me to lead an army? Me. I am 18 years old and I clearly don't have my priorities straight. I don't even know your name because I never asked." Adam rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "I know that is what the training is for but damn... I should have seen that one coming based on how much Bonnie was harping on about that rebellion." Adam felt weird saying that last sentence. It almost left a distaste in his mouth saying "that rebellion" in such a manner that he almost looked disgusted.​

Adam clicked his tongue after looking like he listened to something and then spoke, "Hell is feeling mistreated?"​

I still want to do this, but I have hard drive complications that need to be fixed before I do anything... is there any way you could put me down as a question mark or something to indicate that I may or may not participate? I don't want to drop out of this unless I am certain my hard drive is gone, and I have a feeling I could fix it in a couple days. I'll get back to you when it is fixed/isn't fixed...

Adam was in more pain than he had ever been in his life. He didn't like moving, because it hurt, but he didn't like standing still because it hurt more. Already this training session was unbearable and Semyaza wasn't saying anything at all in Adam's head.​

"Adam keep your head up! You shouldn't fully extend your arm before you lunge."​

Adam stopped when the demons did, and noticed his torturer walk his way and she grabbed his arm.
"You have to do it like this. If I have to tell you again, then you'll get another lashing."​

Adam flinched at the idea and pain from the last one came rushing back to memory. He watched as the mist on her hand changed into the shape it had been during the last lashing. But she patted it and it went away. When she left the circle he was surrounded by the demons again and continued with his previous pattern.​

One of the demons went differently this time, clearly because patterns shouldn't be expected. It got his leg and he held in a shout at he collapsed. He quickly turned to vanquish it but was stuck on the ground as the others closed around him. Shit.​

He felt a numbness to his body and then he felt it move almost on his own as he swung the sword in the correct form and knocked most of them back, even getting a couple of them. He stood up and felt pain shoot from his ankle, but didn't look down to see if there was any blood. Adam took a deep breath and forced weight onto that leg and gritted his teeth.​

Now THAT was the correct way to use a sword.​

Oh great, wonderful. You talk. Let me guess, you had something to do with that?​

Not that I am aware of.​

Adam narrowed his eyes and whispered, "I am not sure if the fear factor is working or if you are just kicking in. Talking out loud makes you look like an idiot so now I am going to make it sound like you are talking to yourself. Son of a bitch..."​

The demons lunged at him and he lunged back killing another one, then he shouted out while paying attention to what was going on around him, "I never asked Bonnie, which was stupid of me. Why the hell am I doing this training in the first place? Yes, I am training blindly and that does make me look like an idiot."​

Cassandra put on a fake grin and spoke, "Great, wonderful. Too bad feeling up your body is worth about as much as a 5 cent candy at a drugstore." she shook her head and spoke, "I can tell we are going to get along just fine." Cassandra's grin faded and she finished with, "I don't like you, but at least you have good humor..."​

So basically you fell into the "this is too weird but I can't look away" trap?

Cassandra had been there the entire time just listening, but trying to make sure Hana was alright. Hana had asked for a glass of water so she got her a glass and then came back. Hana eventually said how they had to leave but she kept collapsing back onto the bed, and then eventually collapsed onto the bed Cassandra was sitting on.​

"Hana... if you aren't okay then you shouldn't be moving and stuff..."​

Cassandra heard someone walk into the room and turned her head to see a complete stranger. Of course she was expecting it but she expected to see Joslyn show up before the strangers did.​

"Araquiel or, rather, Henrik Brandt. You have me to thank for getting the others out of Norway alive."​

"Wait... what the heck happened in Norway?" Cassandra said looking over at Hana. She hadn't really asked what was going on lately, she didn't think something went THAT bad.​

Then another stranger walked into the room.​

"Come now Heinny...when you put it like that it sounds like your showing off" ​

And Cassandra looked at him and for the first time in god knows how long she showed an expression that wasn't sadness or depression. It almost screamed Are you kidding me?​

Cassandra clenched her fist slightly and then put on a fake smile and spoke, "Hello Alistair. My name is Cassandra Hansen. I make dead people look pretty." Cassandra's eyes narrowed as she spoke, "Are you here for your own appointment?"​

Adam opened his eyes after sleeping. He felt good, despite the small remainder of a headache that was present. He was cold though, and had that feeling where someone just wants to curl up under the blanket and stay there for another hour. He turned to wrap the blanket around him more, but found himself face-to-face with a brunette with a bandaged face, with her elbow propping up her head.​

"Good morning, Adam. It's about time you woke up."​

It was one of those scenarios that he pictured out of a horror movie or something because he sure as hell did not expect this one. He let out one of those shouts when someone is caught off guard and backed away from the bandaged one.​

"Would you calm down?" He watched as she rolled her eyes and continued, "Humans these days."​

Adam took a second to breathe and let out without thinking, "I'd calm down but that is NOT a pretty face to w-" He caught himself quickly and stuttered in, "N-nevermind. I just wasn't expecting someone to be in my BED."​

Bandages looked at him almost staring into his soul replying with, "...Is there something wrong with my face?"​

"I didn't say that."​

"It sounded like you were going to say that."​

Adam froze trying to think of how to reply. He hated pissing off or making girls cry, and even though he probably shouldn't have expected either from this girl, he sure as heck wasn't going to take that chance, "...do you want me to be honest or would you rather pretend that never happened."​

She seemed to sit there and think about it for a good long minute. As the silence stirred he bit the inside of his cheek.​

"Get up!" Suddenly Adam snapped back to reality and listened to her continue, "We have work to do and I'm busy. The fact that I even have to be here is a waste of time." He went to but stopped when he watched her disappear from the bed, and he looked around to see her appear at the other end of the room.​

Adam sat up and got out of bed saying, "So why do you have to be here if it is a waste of time?"​

"You're lazy. Harbonah is in trouble for not pushing you harder. So I'm your new tutor kid."​

Adam frowned a bit more than he already was at the sound of Bonnie being in trouble. But the more he thought about it the more he realized how nice she had been to him. "Oh... wait..." he thought about how sore his muscles were from all the training and he sure as hell didn't think it was a tea party. "LAZY? I haven't been lazy at all!" he then thought about it more and recalled his days of mourning after he had gotten out of the school, "If anything I just gave Bonnie a tough time starting."​

"You've been pretty lazy. She's also been too easy on you. I won't be easy on you. And I won't tolerate your back talk. Unless you hurry up with the whole 'being able to connect with Semyaza' thing, expect to enter living Hell.."​

You originally posted it in discussion... this isn't really a "discussion" thread. Where the Spam Zone is more for casual chat like this

There are so many members because this website has been around for quite a long time, and a lot of people like to make accounts but then don't every really sign in on the forum after they sign up. It happens with everything though, if you go on any popular forum or Youtube.

There are just so many because... this is a well known website... that is what I am going with.
