Adam visibly flinched at the name. Oh boy, this quick in and already she's made a name for herself in this group. Although he wasn't that surprised, he would never be able to guess her agenda.​

"I'm not going with you guys. I need to find her and my children."​

Adam ignored Semyaza and spoke out almost immediately, "Okay, I'm all for you wanting to accomplish things on your own but... you are going to Russia to find her? Do you know where in Russia you need to go? If you do, go for it, but if you don't, I wouldn't. As much as jumping to save your wife right now might seem like a good thing, running in with no clues and searching all throughout Russia is going to be even less useful. Even if you love your wife, she's not going to get any help if you are lost."​

Adam moved his hair from his face while he took a breath and spoke, "I'd stick here and figure it out while you are with... us... rather than run off on your own. Then once you've got it down, go play hero... although I take it if Lu's involved you wouldn't want to go on your own."​

Adam heard clapping and looked around to find out who was doing it, but then stopped looking around when he realized it was in his head.​

Adam originally was pretty damn irritated. Not by the fact someone died in the middle of the living room, because he didn't find that irritating as much as he found it terrifically predictable. Was death a common thing on their adventures? He only had one way to find out.​

But they all had set his living room on fire and he stared in horror, and then they had the nerve to ask if he was coming. They had just set his house on fire! They couldn't carry the body out of the house to burn it? Adam rolled his eyes when they asked if he was indeed coming and his immediate thoughts came to the cat in his kitchen. They let him take the cat, although if they said no Rubbish would probably have done fine on his own.​

He found the car ride to be both extremely awkward yet extremely entertaining. Other than the fact Snow White, or he learned her name was Joslyn in the car ride, and Brandon were both in the car, he wasn't used to being dragged out of his home and out of the country. He felt like he was out of his element completely. Adam kept trying to keep from looking in the car but he kept constantly looking towards Joslyn who was crying. Everyone else looked down too, he barely knew Cassandra and he didn't know how to react. Looking at all their faces reminded him of his school all over again and he couldn't keep looking at the others.​

When they got to London, Adam looked around at it in shock. It had received a lot of damage, a lot more damage then he expected in London. It wasn't nearly as bad as Carlisle but that could have just been an illusion, there were still people walking around here. They weren't walking casually but they were still here.​

When they got onto a plane, which was apparently a private plane, he wasn't even paying attention to anything going on. They all could have been plotting his death all he knew, but he was sitting with Rubbish on his lap looking out the plane window in fascination. He hadn't been on a plane before, but he had flown with Harbonah, once, maybe twice. But the second time was after he got hit on the head so for all he knew it could have been in his sleep rather then an actual event.​

About halfway through the flight, it finally hit him that they were leaving the country. He had never left the U.K. In fact, he'd never even been to Ireland. So for a good amount of time he stared off thinking about the other country before the voice finally chimed in again.​

When they all landed in Berlin, Adam walked off the plane with much confusion. He left Rubbish on the plane because he didn't want to carry it around everywhere.​

Adam looked at the condition these people seemed to be in, Hana was being carried on Samuel's back and looked terrible. The rest seemed down, or confused, or clueless. Either way, he wasn't sure what to think of this group yet.​

"Girl, where's that compass pointing right now?"
"I-it's umm... It's pointing t-to th-th-the northwest..."​

"Alright, let's get a move on. If you want to take a breather, do it quick." ​

Adam stared at them all with a face of complete confusion, as he watched Samuel keep a distance from them all, "What, did the north pole suddenly shift? Last I checked compasses pointed north."​

Adam put his hands in his pockets and rolled his eyes at Semyaza's response and instead looked around at Berlin, just to absorb his curiosity. Everyone else could go ahead and have a miserable time but Adam was enjoying the idea of being in a completely new environment and seeing people around. People. He never thought he'd admit to it but he actually liked seeing real living and normal humans functioning in their everyday tasks.​

Adam felt something jump on his lap, he wasn't awake and barely stirred. But the cat meowed louder and he opened his eyes focusing on Rubbish. He just stared at the cat for a long time, doing nothing, all of his focus on the cat.​

Adam rubbed the cat's head with a small childish laugh, "What... do you need food or something Rubbish? I feed you all the ti-"​

Adam finally gained full consciousness and looked up to see all the people in the living room, and he stared off, "Oh... I totally forgot you all were..." Adam looked back down at the cat.

MEEEEOOOOOW​

Adam grabbed the cat and walked over, totally disregarding the others, and heading towards the kitchen grumbling, "Fine FINE, I'll feed you..."​

He put the cat down in the kitchen and grabbed food, Rubbish trailed around obediently until Adam plated the food and put it on the ground. The cat munched at it in delight, and Adam sat down on the kitchen floor next to the feline. He put his hand up to the cats head and scratched it behind the ears and whispered to Rubbish, "Is it sad that I don't know what I am doing anymore...?"​

The cat stopped eating and purred as Adam continued, "Did I ever know what I was doing?"​

you know, I probably would have cried if it wasn't a challenge... like, if they told me about how 90% of people cry to that afterwards rather than before...

Adam helped direct them all to bedrooms and areas around the house where they could sleep, including the purple haired girl, who was apparently named Cassandra and housed the angel Metatron. She seemed to have trouble figuring out what he meant when he said "the rooms are on the 1st floor." It was some American thing in the end and she found the room. ​

Adam planned on staying in the living room, one of those “guests get treated first” morals he always had. That and it was closest to the door, in case anything were to happen. Which he hoped was not the case. For some reason more people had passed out in the living room than expected. He probably could have gone into his own room, but chose not to.​

He sat there on his own pretty late into the night on a comfortable chair closest to the door. Someone had passed out on the chair there and another on the couch. After a good amount of time he stuffed his hand in his pocket and pulled out the ring Danel gave him and put it on his finger.​

Danel?​

So that company that came over... is still here... did you need or want anything from them at all?​

Adam looked around, he knew the conversation was all going on in his head but he still had that feeling the others could hear it.​

I need a location that only Xathanael can provide, but getting her to disclose it will be difficult.​

What location? And do you have a good idea how to get it out of her?​

. The location of Leviathan's prison. I'm not sure yet how to get it out of her, but I do know that she won't disclose it to someone she does not trust. You're going to have to join them Adam. Make them believe you are with them wholeheartedly.​

Adam looked over at the couch where Hana and Sam had both fallen asleep, the same couch he had been staring at all night the night before. He had finally grown to dislike that couch. He stared at Hana as he replied.​

Well that is going to be difficult considering I just poured out a lovely speech to try and turn them over our way.​

I'm sure you can think of something. You're a bright kid.​

He doesn't seem like it.​

Adam ignored Lu’s comment, and tried to think of ways he could possibly make it convincing that he had a change of heart.​

Well, I guess I'll try it out… see how good I am at acting.​

Adam pulled off the ring to end the conversation, putting it back in his pocket, and immediately after he heard giggling in the back of his head and frowned.​

What? Did I say something wrong?​

No, I’m just excited to see the defeatist be defeated again.​

Adam closed his eyes for a moment and found himself falling asleep before he had the chance to open his eyes again.​

Adam looked over at the girl again as she continued, "Maybe... we could h-he-help you with that... I... I don't know how.. B-but..."​

Adam sighed at her response, he wasn't sure how they would be able to either even if he did go with them.​

He felt the girl's grip release on his shirt as she quieted down, "So... so maybe..."​

Adam took a moment and was about to respond when his watch beeped and he noticed the time, he turned his head back to where the group was located, and he gritted his teeth. It was really late for this group to be leaving and trying to make it to somewhere far enough that was safe for them to spend the night.​

Adam ended up walking away from the girl without answering her, again. He walked back into the room quickly with his hands in his pockets, "Alright you know what..." Adam stopped for a moment to think about what he was doing. Then he looked away from the group and spoke, "If you all need somewhere to stay for the night... I'm offering up here... there's plenty of space, if you need food, grab food. Need to shower? Go ahead. Need to sleep in? fine. I'll let you stay here for the night and I won't do anything... it's the most I can do for all of you willing to come over here and talk to me with the potential possibility of getting killed."​

Adam stopped himself and whispered, "I feel like I am offering up a resort here." He then looked back to the group, "You don't have to, and I could see if you didn't want to. It's your choice in the end..."​

Wow kiddo, and with no advice from me.​

Calm down it isn't anything special, it's called hospitality. I know I'd want that much.​

So I just went and asked my Trekkie parents if they liked Into Darkness and they both said they liked it more than Star Trek 2009. They said they weren't upset about any of the roles, they said there were still some flaws, but they have come to expect that in the Star Trek franchise.

When I messaged a couple of people who aren't fans of the franchise, they said they didn't like it because they were upset that they "Whitewashed" the cast.

I don't know if my parents are toying with me, or if these people are secretly fans of the franchise... either way, I don't know what to think because I have never SEEN the movie... only heard about it.

Adam was almost completely out of there, he'd shut himself in his room and continue to listen to the angel rant and rave in his head. It wasn't listening, it remained just as loud as it had been before. Gurgling a ton of useless information. But before he made it up the stairs he felt someone grab his shirt and he stopped, knowing it was too late.​

"U-umm..."​

OOOOH BOY HOW ABOUT THIS.​

Adam turned his head to look at the girl, trying to hear through the screams in his head and comprehend the stutter.​

"Be-because... if... if you're hearing voices... I... I've h-h-ha-had to d-deal with voices... in my head... m-my whole life... S-so... yo-yo-you're not th-the only one..."​

Adam grabbed his head again.​

Adam let go of his head and sighed deeply, then looked Snow White directly in the eyes, "It's not just hearing voices. Everything would be fine and dandy if it was a voice. It's my angel, and my angel can gain control of me. Anytime. No say in the matter. No hope of controlling yourself, always there, a constant little reminder that I don't have full control of myself anymore..."​

He looked away from her as he continued, "Sorry to hear you have to deal with voices, I hate it. I couldn't imagine having this my whole life... I have only had this for three or four days and I hate it."​

Adam searched to find the voice and matched it up with a girl who was so white it instantly reminded him of Bonnie.​

On appearance Adam was grabbing his head in horrible pain and on the verge of tears, "Stop it... stop it... stop it..."​

Adam looked up realizing he was shouting out extremely loud and looked back over at the girl who apparently was hosting Azazel. Adam looked over at Hana afterwards and then at the rest in the room, and out of no where Adam got up and walked out of the room holding his head whispering as tears poured out of his eyes, "Just go..."​

Then I don't think the phrasing should be "Re:Coded has no plot". People should be saying "Re:Coded does not add to the overall plot of the series" and even that I think it might be false. It seems recoded is trying to find it's way into things, I mean... look at Dream Drop Distance, it is mentioned. Probably the only reason I am going to check it out because pieces will probably come into play.

Adam stared for a pretty long time after this boy spoke. His points were valid, the way he spoke about it was true to him, and it was actually very inspirational.​

Well damn, can I have this kid that Barachiel is fortunate enough to have? I mean, granted, he could use a little work but he's got more confidence than you.​

Adam frowned listening to Semyaza and then realized Hana was speaking, and he listened to her as well. Brandon's speech had lit a flame in a couple of people in the room, maybe it was just because the kid proved himself somehow?​

Adam had no idea how to respond to any of these two points, they were so passionately spoken. So instinctively he started to applaud, when he was done he put his hands on his knees and spoke, "I love the meaning behind your words. You are truthful to them, they aren't being forced out. I can't get enough of that."​

Adam took a deep breath as he spoke, "I think it is sad. Hearing about angels getting punished for actually trying to get involved. What a way to tell someone that doing what you feel is right is not approved of. But I guess not everyone thinks the same way." he scratched the back of his neck as he continued, "But, sometimes, you have to abandon your home. For your own sake. What better way to describe it then this city. Everyone left here to protect their lives, and most of them succeeded. Sometimes, your life is more important than your home. A man can have no home but still have a life, but when you have no life, who needs a home?"​

He put his hand back down again and spoke, "Yeah, I'm selfish as you clearly put it." He said as he looked over to the man that housed Araquiel and then continued, "But who isn't? Don't tell me you aren't." He then looked back over and chose to look at Hana, "I like living, and if it means I have to walk a path disapproved of by some, so be it. As long as I'm still breathing it is worth it."​

"The problem with that kind of thinking is the assumption that Fallen, or even Dark Angels, deserve equality. They don't .Paradise, has helped enough. The less intervention we have from those who haven't fallen, the better. It's not their fight."​

Adam raised an eyebrow at this statement before he noticed the man pull out a knife, although Adam was freaking out inside, a smile appeared on his face.​

"If they want equality, they can have it in death." ​

Then after a moment the man put the knife away and continued, "No need to be so selfish. There's more to fight for than just yourself. Unless, of course, you'd prefer the Earth to look like a wasteland."​

Adam shook his head and laughed loudly, "This is an uprising against Paradise, and it isn't their fight? That is like saying a declaration of war in Italy is Canada's fight. I appreciate the indirect threat with the knife, it either shows your lack of reasoning or self control."​

Adam stood up from his seat and started pacing the room, "I am well aware there is more to the fight than myself." Adam was then released from Semyaza's control and he stopped where he was, but Semyaza still spoke​

"But I am human after all, and if I want to survive I will make a smart decision. Look at you all. You all are exhausted because you have been fighting what Hell has created. This is clearly only the beginning, and I would hate to think that you all want to keep fighting like this, exhausting yourselves all the time."​

I am giving you a direction to go. Take it and run with it. I'll tell you a couple things to say every now and then​

Adam held his head because he was dizzy, but tried not to show it, "You all have a right to what you believe in, it is always stronger if you back up your beliefs and I am all for that. But I believe you all are making a mistake... some of you have to be smarter than this..."​

He let go of his head but this time he knew his face showed his exhaustion and he hated that he lost his control of hiding it, "I don't think the underdogs are winning this one... I have seen firsthand how these dark angels can change people and how they can kill them. Have you met my...friend, Alana? I know you have." He looked directly at the purple haired girl in the room as he spoke of Alana and then he looked away, "I can't stop you from doing what you wish to do, but I am offering perspective."​

He sat back down again in his chair and spoke, "You are all fighting with little to no help from Paradise, to help a place you were all cast out from. You are willing to stand up against the forces of Hell, a place that has unlimited potential to make more forces from any other human around here. You are all willing to become harmed, or even die, to back up a world that already appears to be destroying itself."​

Adam closed his eyes again and felt his dizziness go away, before he opened his eyes again and looked at the group, "Or maybe it is just me being negative or naive. Go ahead and tell me if my reasoning is flawed. I just figured I'd say what I think."​

Regardless whether or not someone had said yes, Adam was making it anyway. He needed it if he was going to make it though this conversation without going completely insane.​

Adam walked back in with clean ups and a teapot. He took one and poured himself a cup and brought it to his lips and drank it as he listened to someone speak.​

Adam simply smiled in response and spoke, "Nice to meet you Hana."​

Adam thought about his school and he felt his pinky twitch for a moment, but stopped it. He watched Hana rub her eyes and speak, ❝ I would be interested to hear what they've told you, Semyaza. ❞​

Adam placed his cup down and leaned his hand against his chin pondering it, what exactly had they told him that wasn't the same thing in a reverse setting, "They worded the same situation as a fight for equality rather than a fight to conquer."​

I have been going along with Bonnie all this time because she made me feel good it was only until 3 days ago I actually got into a real focus of things.​

Adam picked up the cup of tea again, his inner defeatist rose out as he mumbled, "That's all I know, I've been following them like a good little pu-"​

Adam stopped talking in mid sentence and quickly looked down. He could only feel his hands and lost his sight.​

I didn't expect you to give up so fast because you couldn't find an exit.​

"Ignore me, I'm tired. I just watched someone die." Adam chucked, looking up again and continuing, "But a fight for equality made... sense to me. No side likes to be held down while another is praised. And I thought about the situation... on Hell's side, everyone is fighting and willing to help. Is Paradise helping you?"​
