I can't say people have thought I have robbed a homeless man, but living in such a big suburban area we have so many around here. One day during the winter I was walking home with a nice cup of hot chocolate and decided I would walk home on the seawall. Our seawall is big, so you have to run and jump to get on top of it. So I put my hot chocolate up there first and then ran and jumped.

When I got up there, apparently a homeless man was seeking refuge in one of the little pockets that are blocked by two pieces of the wall. He jumped up holding this really large stick and screaming. And I freaked the hell out and yelled, "TAKE ANYTHING FROM ME JUST DON'T KILL ME."

...that son of a bitch took my hot chocolate...

Adam woke up with a jump at the sound of something flinging itself into the door. Adam was immediately irritated and quickly got himself out of bed, grabbed his bag, opened it up and grabbed himself one of his many apples, and then walked out of the room taking a bite out of it.
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
When he finally got himself down to the lobby and looked over at Richard and Brandon in the room. He assumed it was one of them, and he had a pretty good feeling it wasn't the one sleeping in a chair.

Adam marched up to Brandon, taking a bite out of the apple, then saying with an irritated voice, "So, what the hell did you throw at my door? A brick?"

Wearing!: (x) ---- Listening! (x): ---- Feeling!: Tired!--- Just Saying:
Reilly finally got back to the dorm exhausted. After she went to the gallery and left, she came across so many distractions. She also got called into work for the first time in forever, and she translated a very motivational speaker to all of the kids. She was upset because she knew her motions would not capture the emotions the speaker had, she opened to be able to some day.
When she got back to the dorm, she remembered she had gotten a package, and went to pick it up. She went down to the cafeteria and opened up her package as she ate a big plate of spagetti and meatballs. In the package was a box, and she looked at it for a moment, then opened up the little wooden box.
Reilly saw the brush and her eyes widened as she picked up the brush and observed it carefully. This brush had to have been custom made, but it couldn't have been cheap. Reilly had custom brushes of her own, but not in this quality. She held up the note tied to the handle.
Only the best deserve the best
    Art is life
It is time to breathe life into art
    Use responsibly

Reilly looked at the note confused for a moment and placed it back delicately into the box. When she finished eating, she brought the box back up to the dorm and looked at it a bit longer. She had the urge to try and paint with it, but the brush was a work of art on it's own... but the note didn't say "don't use it!" in fact, it said to Use Responsibly.
Reilly decided to pull out one of her smaller canvases and pulled out her soft color pallet. She carefully dipped the brush into the blue paint, and decided she would draw a simple bluebird, only using blues and blacks. She spent quite a while on it, and in the end she completely cleaned out the paintbrush. It worked fantastically, the bristles worked very well, helping to bring out the textures of the bird's feathers. She stared at it for a little while until her roommate walked in.
"Wow, that looks great! How long did you spend on it?"
    What time is it?
"I don't know I'm too tired to check... but it looks amazing!"
Reilly watched Annie go to bed, and she looked at the blue bird again and frowned. She made the right wing disproportionate, and it bugged her. She wondered what it would fly like, would it have trouble or fly normally? This bugged her but then she shook her head to dismiss it, it was just art after all.
Reilly placed the canvas in front of the fan that was always on in that room, and she went to shower, and then got herself to bed.

Naturally, you'd expect the Zookeepers to be the ones tending to the animals and helping out some of the tourists on site. There was a big difference between being a Tour Guide, and being a Zookeeper however.
One of the tour guides purposefully took her group over to the Kangaroo section, one reason was because the kids were shouting about it. The other reason was because, much to the tour guide's dismay, Lauren was working with the Kangaroos that day.
Lauren walked cautiously out into the open section to search for the kangaroo with the Red Tag. She kept periodically ducking into bushes and slowly peaking out to make sure the coast was clear. Then she'd continue on her adventure. When she finally got to the Kangaroo with the Red Tag, she let out a big grin.
Red Tag meant the kangaroo was sick and needed their medicine. Normally, the Zookeepers would wait until the animals were asleep to give medicine, but Lauren was not one of the normal.
"G'day little boomer." Lauren whispered as she ducked back into the bushes and continued pursuit.
Alice was telling little facts about Kangaroos as she was asked, and noticed Lauren peaking her head out through the bushes, "Oh no..."
Another tour guide who was working with Alice turned their head at her words, then she turned in the direction Alice was looking and hollered, "Ay! What is fruit loop doing?"
Lauren finally quickly tiptoed out of the greenery, blocked from the kangaroo's view. And then pulled out the medicine needle. She set it just right, and got close enough to get the Kangaroo in the neck. The kangaroo made a noise and Lauren backed up with her large grin and spread out her arms.
    "KA-KAAAW!"
Half a second later the kangaroo jump kicked Lauren in the face.
Alice covered her mouth and whispered in a low volume, "Shitshitshitshitshit"
The coworker let out a sigh and turned on their walkie and spoke, "Medical? WALKER is down again..."
    Which WALKER?
"What other WALKER would be down again?"
Alright, an offsider is heading your way. Is WALKER conscious?

At that moment a laughing could be heard and the two tour guides looked out to see Lauren getting up holding her nose, "Little Joey you've got a lotta kick. Good onya."
Lauren then walked up closer to the kangaroo and tried to pet it's head, "Sorry mate."
    "It appears she is."
Alice quickly grabbed the walkie from her coworker and changed the channel of it, "Lauren please get out of there."
Oh boy what is that dipstick doing now?
    Mikey, not over the walkie.
Big deal, did she even remember to carry it?
Alice looked to see Lauren paying no mind to anything, jumping back on occasion from the kangaroo. Usually when Lauren had the walkie and heard her name she would have stopped what she was doing and started talking nonstop on the walkie.
    "Nope, she didn't."
May God have mercy on her soul...
Not too long after, Lauren was sitting on a bench outside of one of the lodges. She kept giggling to herself until she saw the familiar boots of another Zookeeper, "G'day Mikey~"
"G'day... what the hell were you doing to the red tag."
    "Having a little fuuun."
    "Mate... that joey is ill."
"Which is why I spooked 'em. Woke em up I bet."
"Are you trying to make it so he carks it?"
    "Why wo-"
    "Heart condition."
Lauren gasped as she covered her mouth and spoke, "Blood pressure medicine, oh damn."
    "Joey alright?"
"Oh shit, I an't given another joey a heart attack have I?"
"Better not, I'll be as mad as a cut snake. I helped raise that joey."
Lauren looked up and looked up at Mikey who's eyes widened, "Oh lord, karma's a *****."
    "Huh?"
    "You're face."
    "My face?"
    "That's a shiner alright. Concussed?"
"Dunno yet, mate... probably not. My hear is only ringing a little bit compared to the last one..."
"Your ear is...? Ah um, nevermind."

Adam had fallen asleep in the car because they were all taking too long. But when they all got back they had succeeded in getting this guy. This struck his curiosity. What on earth did they say to these people that got them to join so willingly and so quickly they'd just walk out of their everyday lives?
They all stopped and went shopping, they all got new clothes because everyone had theirs for quite a long time. He got himself some clothes too while he was there and a bag to carry it in. He put the ring in the bag in one of the zipped pouches, because he knew he wouldn't lose it in the wash that way. He also got food, man he missed food. He also kind of missed apples, and ran off and stole himself an entire bag of them at the store. He left 2 dollars where it was though because it was all he had.
When they all finally settled in for the night, Adam realized he hadn't heard Semyaza since he took his nap. But he payed it no worry, he assumed he'd probably hear from them tomorrow or even the second he closed his eyes.

    "Here."

Adam took it from him and lit it up, handing him the lighter back and saying, "Thank you."

22 days, the day before the electrical storm.
What were you trying to quit?
No. I just tend to remember the less important things.
    Like what?
The last time I had ice cream was 67 days ago?
Would you mind putting that useless calculation to good use somehow?
Sure, tell me when it is needed.
    x
    You really shouldn't smoke,
    x
Adam looked just in time to see Hana turning the other direction and he whispered, "Yeah, I shouldn't do a lot of things... old habits die hard."
    x
Oh really? Dare say those words again kiddo?
    x
When Adam was done he stubbed out the cigarette and went back into the car.
    x
    ~----~
    x
Not long after they arrived in front of a building, where they assumed the next angel was. Adam leaned his head against the car window. He wasn't getting out of the car, if they needed him they could call him. He wasn't going to help recruit if this wasn't even the side he believed in.
    x
    You can't even act?

Wearing!: (x) ---- Listening! (x): ---- Feeling!: Busy!--- Just Saying:
Reilly woke up to her roommate nudging her and telling her they had to leave now. She smiled and got herself dressed up really quickly. Her roommate told her she needed to run out and grab her car. The sculpture was too heavy to carry to the other side of the university.
Annie, where do you want me to carry this to exactly?
"Just to the outside of the dorm, I'll be right back after I get the car out of the garage."
Annie ran off ahead and Reilly carried the sculpture up and out of the dorm. Then she heard her dorm adviser yell, "McTavish! You have a package waiting for you."
Reilly gently put down the sculpture and held a finger up to signify one minute. She pulled out Mr Talky and typed out her message.
The adviser nodded and she picked up the sculpture again and left the dorm and waited outside for Annie to pull up. When she did, they placed it safely in the backseat and Reilly sat in the back to make sure it didn't fall.
When they got to the Riverton Art Gallery, Annie parked in the visitor's section. The two helped each other to carry it in, and Annie stopped them in the front room. The person at the front desk smiled at them and waved Annie over. When Annie walked over to the desk Reilly noticed newer entries in the gallery and decided to walk off on her own.
She walked through the paintings section, taking a long look at each and every one she passed. They all looked wonderful, and each gave her different emotions as she looked on them. One made her feel angry, while another made her feel sad. Then she finally came across a familiar painting and smiled at it.
She was always proud of her artwork titled The Victorian Doll. Never did she look at it as though there was a flaw, in fact, she thought it was the most flawless work she had done. She was a little sad about giving it to the gallery, but at least she knew it would still be there. If anything happened to it she would be sad.
"Reilly? I'm heading out now that my work made it safely. If you really want a ride I can give you one but you can live right?"
Yeah, I'm just gonna browse for a bit. Carry on~
Reilly looked at her the Doll for a little while longer, smiled again, and then walked away; continuing to browse the gallery.
