I like the v2 of the new version, since it has a little foreground effect. you should build upon that, so you could kill two birds with two stones: Flow and some effect =D Major improvement, good job.

You should try and A. Make light come from em or B. Get rid of em by blending em in.
Like your current sigs, the effect doesen't go very well with the stock. =/ The stock needs sharpening up, and there is a little bit of depth, and it's kinda weird....o.o. There's some flow, but it goes in all different directions. Also, the stock seems a bit lq. The text could use some work, as does the brushing. They both kinda....float.... And ya got these random white spots everywhere, not doing anything to the stock.
