If so, you might try this if you want to do a SysRestore since you can't use Start (also a way to check if you have any restore points at all): open the Task Manager up and go to File > New Task (Run...) Type in the following: %systemroot%\system32\rstrui.exe This should bring up System Restore. If this works and you have restore points available, try to choose one from before you had the virus.
