Monday, November 3rd, 2013 | Day 44 : 3/4 | Music | Location: Inverloch, Australia| ooc: Adam kept on driving quietly bickering with the GPS. He was really exhausted and all he was doing was driving. This wasn't good, not good at all. How the hell was he supposed to find anyone did he just expect them to pop up at the side of the road? Right on cue, he drove past a group of three he recognized immediately. He quickly pulled over to the side of the road and started backing up towards them. When he stopped he rolled down the window on the passenger side leaned over as far has he could and yelled, "Hey-" Adam let out a quick cough and realized he really needed some water. Then he continued, "Joslyn, Kai, Logan! Get in." He was glad it happened to be Joslyn's group because that only meant they could find the others with the compass. The compass. Oh god... Adam put back up the window and sat up normally, massaging his arms a bit.
Xyloh was actually pretty excited for this, and was probably one of the few people who were shaking in anticipation for it.When she was given the medication she assumed it wouldn't take as fast as they claimed it did, but boy was she wrong. Xyloh sat up trying to feel herself from sleeping too early, even if she was feeling amazingly relaxed. Xyloh finally gave up and let her eyes close. Grandma, I'm almost there!
Monday, November 3rd, 2013 | Day 44 : 2/4 | Music | Location: Southern Australia| ooc: Where The Heck Are My Teachers. Vol II Adam woke up coughing horribly and threw up before he even had a chance to open his eyes. Startled, Adam moved quickly and the soreness of his body irritated him. When he sat up he realized he was alone, on a beach, and the storm had blown over. He was shipwrecked and alone. Dammit this is exactly why I hate boats.Shipwrecks? You've never shipwrecked before. The idea of it, stop being so literal. You have no right to ridicule me about taking things literally. Adam took off his sweatshirt and his shirt and started to wring them out because of how wet they were still from the ocean and the rain. He then looked around to see if maybe he missed people the first time, or if he had any objects with him from the boat. His bag was nearby as well as a life preserver. He assumed he tried to put it on or something before the ship capsized. Adam grabbed the bag and opened it up to see if everything was still in a reasonable condition, then he sat back down for a few minutes hoping it would help sooth how sore he was. When he looked up the beach he realized he was nearby a town and not deserted somewhere. Oh thank god. He walked into town limping slightly and looked around at the scenery. Everything was a mess, houses were destroyed, and... the reactions were odd. Although there were plenty of people running around sadly, there were people casually conversing with neighbors as well, as though it was just an everyday rainstorm. Australians... you people and your weather. Adam was walking down a street that was completely abandoned when he noticed a decently large van on the side of the street idled. So the keys were still in it. He had the thought cross his mind that he needed to find the others, and considering there was a large coastal road from what he could see, driving a car would be much more efficient. He didn't mind the idea of stealing the car though, he had stolen one before, not even a few months ago. Adam first checked to see if there were any sleeping passengers, pets, or hiding children, then he jumped quickly into the vehicle and drove off before anyone had seen him. Hopefully evacuations and damage would distract the police more than someone stealing a van. When he got near the end of town he stopped the van for a moment and looked in the glove compartment to see if there was a map. Unfortunately there was not, but after further investigation he found a really old GPS and cringed. He needed a location to get it to work, and he couldn't think of anything. He went with his gut feeling that told him to go east and he put in Cape Liptrap as his destination because it stayed along the coastline if he did that. And from Cape Paterson(which he discovered was where he was located) it wasn't too long of a drive. He then started following the GPS and took a deep breath as he left town only to hear. RECALCULATING, IN 500 METERS TURN LEFT. Adam looked over to the left to see a body of water and sighed, "No GPS... I am not driving into the ocean." He kept on driving and turned on the radio and started searching for a news station because he figured that would be something he should listen to considering they were recovering from a hurricane. When he finally found a station he settled on it and listened as he focused on the road. RECALCULATING, IN 500 METERS TURN LEFT. Adam wasn't fully paying attention so he went to take the turn and quickly swerved back into the correct lane. He slammed his fist down on the edge of the steering wheel and yelled, "I'm not dealing with shit today from your kind you little fucker." Adam got to the town of Inverloch and pulled over to a side street to rest for a bit. He still felt sick from the boat, and he was still sore as well. After a few minutes he remembered he was still not wearing his shirt and decided to check to see how the damage was. Fortunately it was mostly just bruising and he was grateful that it wasn't much worse. Adam felt his face start to sting now that he was focusing on the bruises so he looked in the mirror to see a large gash across his forehead. He opened up the glove compartment again and grabbed tissues he had seen before and started to take care of his forehead. After a few minutes he remembered something from Semyaza and placed his hand over his forehead and allowed for mist to leave his hand. His head began to tingle and when he moved away his hand he saw the wound was closed even though it was still visible. That could easily reopen kiddo.I don't care at the moment it is just one less thing to worry about. Adam put the sweatshirt back on because the sweatshirt had dried off a lot at this point. He then checked his pants pockets to confirm that the ring was still there. He was considering asking Danel or Lu if they somehow knew where the others would be... if they were shipwrecked like he was and still alive. Adam sat back up normally and began driving again and was about to leave Inverloch even though he felt like he could pass out at that moment. RECALCULATING, IN 1.5 KILOMETERS TURN LEFT. "YOU CAN'T TURN LEFT THAT'S THE FUCKING OCEAN!"
3Monday, November 3rd, 2013 | Day 44 : 1/4 | Music | Location: Tasmanian Seas(?)| ooc: Adam did not like boats. He had been on boats before and he just absolutely hated them. It was all the movement that took place, and the storm was only making it much worse than what he intended. He tried to refocus his mind on something else and he just kept on looking over towards Joslyn. It was really starting to bug him at this point. Adam got himself to move slightly on the boat to get closer to Joslyn, and when she noticed him she looked like she was ready to run away from him. But the boat situation didn't help that. "Look... Joslyn... I need to talk to you. I'm s-" "I-I-I-I d-d-don't w-w-w-w-want to t-t-talk to y-y-y-y-you." Adam went silent and Joslyn looked away from him, Adam's face almost looked sad at this. "Look you don't need to respond but I just want you to know that's I'm s- can you please at least look at me?" A little bit of anger built up inside him and if it was a guy he probably would have thrown a punch, but it wasn't and he had to accept that. He took a deep breath and reached out for her arm, "Please Joslyn I-" "Bitch, get out of here before I make you sleep again." Adam backed up quickly and then instinctively went to rub his neck, there was a bit more silence and Adam formed a first and almost wanted to ask if that was a challenge. I wouldn't if I were you kiddo. Not here, not there. Not anywhere. Especially not now. Adam backed up again and spoke, "I just wanted to say I am sorry for how I spoke and treated you a few days back. I shouldn't have done what I did and I honestly didn't mean anything I said... that's all I wanted to say now. Forgive me and that's your choice, I can't change what you think about me." All of the words that came out of his mouth were truthful but they didn't feel like his words. It wouldn't have been the way he would have spoken to someone over a month ago at his school, and that felt odd to him. Adam looked for a moment at the compass on her neck, he wasn't going to worry about that now. He turned around fully want went to walk away but the boat shifted and he lost balance in his lack of concentration and hit the wall, "Shit." he then rubbed his arm and walked back over to the other part of the room and sat down.
The voice her fears rung through the room in its usual loud tone. Xyloh refused to look in the direction of it, but her face went pale white and although she knew she was dead, she probably looked even more dead. She started shaking and sat down on one of the chairs and curled up into a ball because she couldn't run off. Then she started whispering to herself, "Go away go away go away go away go away go away go away go away go away." Her tears started for form but she was hugged in so tightly she doubted anyone would notice.
Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 | Day 42 : 1/4 | Music | Location: St Petersburg, Russia| ooc: Spoiler: Y'all know what this is going to be Adam opened his eyes lying on the ground, everything was blurry for just a moment before he felt something lodged into his chest. He gasped horribly and instinctively went to move his right arm to grab, but the arm was gone. Adam looked up and his eyes focused for him to notice Remus at the other end. Adam stared at him for a long time before he spoke, "Alright, you won. Happy?" Remus frowned and pulled the sword out and backed up, Adam felt a numbness to his body and looked to see his arm had come back, and he sat up, watching his leg regenerate. Adam pulled himself up from the ground and felt unstable. "I would have been if you had not been such a coward. I have been waiting nearly a week to end this.""I'm sorry?""Do not apologize to me, apologize to yourself.""Alright, enough you two." Adam turned his head to see Semyaza standing right next to him, and they leaned their elbow on his shoulder, "Now then kiddo. Well rested?""No.""You will not be for a while. But yet again you impressed me at one level and failed at another. I need to talk to you about that willpower you have, because it is strong.""Do you still need me, Semyaza?""You are free to leave if you wish. But if you would like to stick around you are more than welcome to." Semyaza grabbed Adam's arm and pulled him away and then let go when they were both walking without Adam needing assistance. Adam kicked a rock along the way and Semyaza finally started to speak, "Now tell me, do you have a prior history of insomnia?""Is this a checkup at the doc?""Answer my question.""No I have not had insomnia." Semyaza stopped and placed a hand on Adam's head, "You mean to tell me, you stayed awake for four days straight out of sheer willpower?""I was afraid.""I know fear can carry over but usually after the 48 hour mark people give up and give in.""I don't give in easily." Semyaza let go of him and started to laugh extremely hard, and Adam raised an eyebrow at her. She composed herself and moved her hand and clouds formed, then they compacted and turned into a cane, which Adam stared at confused until she pointed it at his forehead, "I did not realize you were a comedian.""I wasn't kidding.""Then I fear for your sanity or lack of knowledge about yourself. You cave very easily.""That is a lie!" Semyaza hit Adam over the head with the cane and Adam closed his eyes and grabbed his head in pain. When he opened his eyes Semyaza was missing and he looked around frantically afraid of what could come next. When he turned around there was a girl there with white hair and bright blue eyes. Adam took a cautious step towards them and examined them a little bit more, "Bonnie?" There was a small smile on her lips and she walked over and hugged him, "Hello puppet. How have you been?"Adam took a step back and pushed her away, "Really funny.""Adam what is the matter?" She took another step forward and placed a finger under his chin and looked with concern, "Is something wrong with your head?""Don't fucking touch me." he said as he swatted her hand away. Her eyes narrowed at him as she spoke, "I do not understand what your problem is.""You aren't here. You're dead."She raised up her hand and flexed it, then looked Adam back straight in the eyes and spoke, "If I'm not here, how did you touch me?"Adam looked away for a moment from her and she walked forward with a smile, "Always so tense aren't you Adam. Just... relax."He watched as she walked behind him and she massaged his back, the same way she had when they first met. Then when he had finally calmed down he felt a cold blade to his neck and gasped. "You were so close too. I was convinced you would keep fighting for a moment, but no.""That was low.""I am just proving a point to you. Do you understand?" Adam grabbed Semyaza's arm and spoke, "I understand, you were right..." There was a silence almost as if he had just said something completely unbelievable. Then Semyaza moved the blade from his neck and walked in front of him, "It is a form of defeatism. I understand, but... I do not want you to obey someone just because you are lost and do not know what to do." Semyaza put the blade they were holding sideways to their chest and spoke, "I want you to do what you believe is right. I could easily just sit here and push you around, it could be very easy. But I am not a dictator. This is where my beliefs from heaven and hell differ. I never intended on going to Hell in anyway shape or form when I rebelled, I wanted here on Earth. I enjoy Earth, it is a truly wonderful place." Adam opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted, "I did not intend on latching onto souls and being stuck with them. I feel terrible for you and the others. Who wishes to find out they are burdened by a fallen angel? I can live through lifetimes, you cannot. You only have one life and I do not wish to take that from you." Semyaza shifted the blade and it turned back into the cane from earlier and they leaned forward, "And I will ask you this question now, and I will help you with whichever path you choose. Do you wish to side with the Dark Angels, and turn this world into a hell-plane. Or do you wish to fight with the Fallen and save this world. Either way, do not think about the outcomes overall. Think about yourself. Where do you picture yourself the happiest? Do not think of if you do not succeed. You will. You are Adam Graham Pike, a reincarnation of Semyaza, a born and ready leader who needs a push and needs to know what direction to go in. What do you say?" Adam stared off in thought, he had no idea how to reply or if he could ever reply at all. He thought about everything, every detail, every way he could be happier. But although he knew he'd be happier with the Fallen, there was something about the Dark Angels and Lucifer that kept looming over him. He felt like he would win on that sad, and he dismissed what Semyaza said prior about him succeeding. Did he want happiness, or did he want to live longer. Adam looked up at Semyaza and spoke, "I don't know.""You don't know?""I don't..." Semyaza let out a defeated sigh and threw the cane into the air and it turned into a cloud and floated upward. "Give it more of a thought, figure out where you wish to go. And remember, if you regret the decision later, you can always find an exit." Adam looked from the cloud over at Semyaza who had disappeared. He guessed she was done with him for the day, so Adam let his eyes close and fell fully sleep for a couple more hours before he had to wake up. The group had finally gotten back and restored itself. Richard luckily, broke the news before he did. Adam was completely unfocused on what was going on. He was trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone really, just because he was so lost in thought about what he was going to do. And he was really hungry for the first time in a while. Adam heard Sal mention what they should do next and immediately his thoughts trailed over to the compass again. Dammit if he could do it he'd run over to Joslyn right now and rip it off of her neck and destroy it, but he wasn't like that. And he probably wouldn't survive to tell Danel he destroyed it. He kept looking over at Joslyn and instead of the compass the first thing that came into his head was that he felt like he should apologize. Not only was it a completely random thought, but it was actually somewhat relevant. Adam took a deep breath and quickly looked back over at Sal and spoke, "Go where the compass points like we always have done?"
ooc: free periods man, so many free periods in school today... WHERE ARE MY TEACHERS. I ACTUALLY DID MY HOMEWORK TOO. Xyloh had stopped talking to Leah at one point, and was kind of sitting there with the clackers until she noticed something going down over by the couch. Her focus shifted to the banana bread for a moment, and she realized that Ainsley must have gotten that really good bread from her guests again. If that was what the food was like in heaven, she couldn't wait to get there. Xyloh watched as Elton and Trevor went at it, and not long after Kyle became involved, and she knew how interesting a group that was. Xyloh turned back over to Leah and told her, "Sorry, I'm going to just... move away now." and Xyloh stopped with the clackers and got up to listen a bit better. She didn't go too close, she stayed a fair enough distance away and crossed her arms and tried to keep from smiling when things got ridiculously out of hand. When things started to get physical, the nurses started to pour out and settle things down, and Xyloh watched as Trevor got tranquilized and everything seemed resolved. When she watched him get escorted out of the room, she made sure to stick her tongue out at him. She probably pissed him off even more but she didn't care, people weren't furniture even if they thought they were."Alright, what happened here?"Xyloh let out a chuckle and shouted out, "Banana bread happened! I didn't even get any..." Xyloh murmured the ending part sadly and then looked away, "If we all weren't already dead those two looked like they would have killed each other."

Throughout the storm, Lauren and Mikey kept constantly going at it. The animals kept crying out because of the storm, and Lauren kept trying to keep them calm. Mikey kept trying to the radio to work to call for evacuation, because he knew they would need it afterwards. Lauren broke a couple things during the wait which only made the arguments worse. Alice kept trying to have them calm down, but because she was afraid of thunder and lightning, she kept forcing herself to go back to sleep. Lauren cuddled up with Alice and both Lauren and Mikey fell asleep around the same time.
Friday, November 1st, 2013 | Day 41 : 4/4 | Music | Location: St Petersburg, Russia| ooc: They failed. Breaking the news to Hana was going to be fun, but since he didn't know how the previous day went exactly, maybe they assumed it would end in such a way. If they did that was great, if not, oh well. If Vincent and Richard told the others about the Dark Angel part, that was their choice, but he wasn't going to bother with that detail. When he got to the hotel and was alone, he pulled the ring out of his pocket. He realized he hadn't used it since day one, and on day 2 he went on a search for it and didn't use it. He was going to now that he remembered, and he assumed they would want him to check in. He sighed and sat on the bed, putting it on. Thank you for the friendly reminder that I have this thing.Well I couldn't exactly talk to you, now could I? Unless you wanted me to poof in and be like 'hey, put on your damn ring.'Right... I hope you weren't expecting me to bring you any amazing news. Not really.Well good, I have done nothing productive for you... at all... if anything it was the oppositeAs I figured. Do you need something Adam? Yes but there is nothing you could do to get it.And what exactly might that be?Get these people to trust me. There was a long silence and he shifted and kicked off his shoes as he waited. You mean you have spent all this time with them and none of them trust you yet?Other than the people who trusted me from the get go, and the one person I got to join us... yes, I have gotten no one to trust me... I was close with Joslyn but messed that one up...Adam, do you even want to help? Adam let out a sigh. I do it's just... difficult...All right. I have something very easy for you.And what would that be? I am expecting this to end in death. Adam heard Danel laugh and was concerned just for a moment that his guess was correct. No. It shouldn't require anyone to die. Destroy the compass Azazel wears. Without it, they can no longer recruit any more fallen angels. Adam thought about it for a moment. He might be able to get it off of Joslyn if Azazel let him anywhere near her again, but destroying it was the hard part. Is it something that can be easily destroyed or do I need something? It should be easily destroyed, but for safe measure, you'll probably want to use the obsidian dagger I gave to Samuel. Adam remembered the dagger well but still the question slipped out of his mouth. Samuel has a dagger too? I saw that Henrik had one...... No. There's only one dagger. Then I'm gonna have to get it from Henrik... HAH. This'll be fun... but after I destroy the compass where does that leave me? I don't think they'd be too thrilled about it. Well you could try and do it discretely. Otherwise, you're welcome to come here. Adam thought about it, he assumed Danel meant Hell, and he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to go there yet. I'll attempt at discrete, but if I fail, I'll call. All right then. And try not to recruit anymore to their little team.Well with Lu getting you guys Regulus, their moral might go down anyway... actually wait. I have a question. And what would that be?Who's to blame for the Ariel situation? A part of the group is looking for him in Siberia. Mm... I guess that would technically be me. I told Lu he was there. She sent Alistair. Then one of the Nephilim. Now she has him since Alistair didn't kill him. Well, just so you know, they are looking for him. Not sure if you didn't already know that.I knew Uriel was out on a pointless vendetta to find him. Ariel isn't in Siberia. Where is he? America? Wouldn't that be a laugh. That's probably best left a secret for now. Good night Adam.Fine then, good night. Adam took off the ring and put it back in his pocket. He'd have to wait for them all to regroup considering the obsidian dagger was in Henrik's possession in London, while Joslyn was in Siberia. If he couldn't get the dagger from Henrik then he'd try his best with Nahkosh. Hopefully that'd be enough. Adam layed down in the bed and passed out immediately.

Friday, November 1st, 2013 | Day 41 : 4/4 | Music | Location: St Petersburg, Russia| ooc: Adam hadn't seen Lu when she appeared, but knew it was her when she was leaning on his head and speaking. After almost a week he finally remembered the ring. Great. Horrible way to get a reminder considering she was here for something. She had been putting her fingers through his hair, and then she dug her fingers into his back afterwards. At one point she brought Harbonah into the conversation, damn she found ways to piss him off already. She then went into a negotiation speech, which was absolutely wonderful. As useful as he may be to the Dark Angels, Adam wasn't loving the sound of anything going on. At least getting him into this group had some form of death involved in the end, but nope. Adam put his hands in his pocket as he listened to Regulus' reply. Huh. Well then. Adam decided to keep up appearance and spoke. "What is of use to you. I'll tell you our scenario." He avoided looking over at Lu as much as possible, "We are avoiding turning this world into a living hell, and we are gathering up to fight against well." He tilted his head towards Lu without looking over at her, "Hell." Adam took his hands out of his pockets and spoke, "We cannot guarantee you your experiments, I am sorry for that. I cannot guarantee anything. But we can at least try to save the world. Unless you like the idea of Earth covered in hellfire." Adam felt so contradictory as he spoke, these were not the words he believed in, and he did his best not to show that. He'd more than willingly cave to let him go with Lu, but how would that look overall. Vincent and Richard were still here after all.
Friday, November 1st, 2013 | Day 41 : 4/4 | Music | Location: St Petersburg, Russia| ooc: Although Adam was ready to run out of there right at that moment. He didn't have an anti-criminal thing at all if anything he was anti-police with how many times he had to go home with them tagging along. But the setting of this man, and how he as reacting to everything, Antonio. It was off putting, but he figured they needed to keep going with this to have it all worthwhile. Adam put his hands in his pockets looking over at Antonio first, "Well, up at home- um the United Kingdom, there is an outbreak of people being possessed by demons." He tilted his head towards Vincent and Richard, "The group has been calling them zombies. They aren't..." He looked back over at Regulus and continued, "I do not know what you find of interest, and I don't know why the police are after you. But, I cannot make you choose to go with our group, I can only tell you what you may face if you choose to go... Also don't think I'm ignoring the police bit... we have a runaway convict with us." Why am I still doing this I really don't care...I do not know, I am not making you do anything. Adam feared the question he let slip from his mouth, "If you don't mind me asking, and I don't mean to be rude by butting in, what is this... experiment coming up?"
Welcome back to the forum my friend! And no,unfortunately I do not remember you... sorry. But, if you ever wanna talk or something just swing by and leave me a message. Welcome back and um, I'll be redundant and say "refresh on the rules". See you around~
Lilly did not end up doing much after Maria wandered off mumbling about how she wanted to see Ryder. Lilly was one to mind her own business, but she was curious why she needed Ryder. After that, Lilly got dressed and wandered around and found the arcade in the resort and played Buck Hunter until she stopped herself from using too much money. After that she went to the beach and drew in the sand rather than build sandcastles. She went swimming for a little while in the ocean, then she went and got herself food. At around 10pm, the same employee from the previous day told her that she needed to go back to her room. When she got back to the room, she pulled out her phone and played a couple of games and talked on her Trillian app. When she was finally tired, she showered up, got into pjs, and went to sleep.
Friday, November 1st, 2013 | Day 41 : 4/4 | Music | Location: St Petersburg, Russia| ooc: Adam felt like he was thrown into the worst group possible. Not because he was bad for the job, but because this was the only group of the three that was continuing something... something from the previous day. This was almost like throwing a junior high student into the middle of a construction zone and saying that they were in charge of the crane. Either way, he chose to be silent most of the time, trying his best not to nod off, and he listened to the back and forth for a bit. Everything seemed to be working out smoothly compared to what could have been happening. Then finally, Vincent said something that triggered Regulus into going into passionate detail about... Antonio. Adam watched this guy's reaction and listened to the details and Adam may not have shown it in his face but inside he panicked for a moment and successfully calmed himself down. Maybe... just maybe they had run into their first complete nutcase. It was only a matter of time. "You've...intrigued me...I truly hope your words come true and I may find something of interest" Adam took a deep breath and spoke out, "So just to clarify... because you might just be thinking about what could possibly happen... are you agreeing to join us?" Adam blinked heavily for a moment and then stretched slightly to keep himself away, but not a full on stretch to be rude.
CLACK! CLACK! CLACK! There was something truly wonderful she found about the so called "guest hours" the people around her had. All of the people they knew just coming and visiting them, all of them being older than the ones around her. She thought it was sad, because if the people from heaven coming to visit them were their parents, then their parents died before or with them. Xyloh knew her parents were still alive, which is why they couldn't come and visit her. No one she knew visited her, because everyone she knew was still alive. Except her grandmother, which made her sad because she kept constantly hoping maybe she would come and visit her here in purgatory. It seemed like that wasn't the case. To keep her mind off of it, Xyloh was wandering about the room with a pair of clackers. It took her almost a month of "good behavior" to get them back, but she was happy now. She didn't care if it annoyed the others because she was having a great time. Xyloh moved her arm up fast and made the clackers connect both at the bottom and at the top. She stopped after a full minute when she hit herself in the face. She giggled and laughed off the pain, then continued again. As she clacked she thought about the "miracle pill" they were talking about, and how it was going to make her sleep. She finally got used to the idea that dead people do in fact need to sleep, but everyone telling her she wasn't actually dead must have been crazy, because if she was alive she'd be in school and doing other things. Not waiting judgment in purgatory. But she assumed that this "miracle pill" was her last test before she'd get accepted into heaven... she hoped. Xyloh noticed Trevor sitting in the back corner, and she decided to check up on another occupant of purgatory. With a smile she skipped over, continuing to clack, and sung out, "Hello friend, how are you on this lovely day?" "Go away before I slit your wrists." Xyloh tilted her head to the side and questioned, "Why? Did I do something wrong?" Almost immediately after, Xyloh moved her hand up and did the trick again with the clacker balls. "Those balls you're playing with are noisy. Stop it before I give you a wrist watch measured in blood." "Oh that sounds cool how do you do that‽" Trevor gave her a pissed off look and shut his book. Xyloh was curious by this reaction and spoke, "Oh is it a secret‽""Go. Away." He hit her in the head with the spine of the book to finish it off.Xyloh rubbed her head slighty from the shock and let out a giggle and almost sung out, "Alright fine, I get you. Get better at hitting though, that was weak." Xyloh skipped away, continuing with her clackers, until she saw Leah sitting at a table, she was staring off and dropping checker pieces on a checkerboard. She kept repeating this, and she looked bored. Xyloh wanted to help her break that boredom, so she walked up and sung her ever so common question. "Hello friend, how are you today?" Leah looked up at her absently and replied, "Huh? Oh. Fine?" Leah seemed to focus on Xyloh's clacking, so she moved it a bit closer. "How are you Ghost?" Xyloh let out a small giggle at that response and smiled, "I'm good, listening to all the names being called... I've got no one in heaven visiting me again." Xyloh then took a seat at the table with Leah. Leah looked around at the others in the room and spoke with a monotone voice, "My birthday. No visitors until my birthday." Xyloh's eyes lit up as she quickly responded, "Oh! When's your birthday?" Leah lifted up her hands and counted on her fingers and appeared to lose track, "One, two, three ... This month?" Xyloh grinned and sung out, "Happy early birthday friend!" Xyloh remembered the miracle pill at that moment and her clacking that she had continued that whole time stopped, "...hopefully we'll be awake for it" Leah looked up from her fingers with a confused expression, "What does that mean?""Oh you know that 'miracle pill' thing. They said we'd be sleeping for some time? I was thinking we'd be asleep for um..." Xyloh quieted down for a moment to find the correct words. "I don't know... I don't... not a month." Leah looked at Xyloh with concern, "How do ghosts sleep?" Xyloh tilted her head and replied instantly, "Wouldn't you know? Aren't you a ghost too?" Xyloh looked around again and sighed, "Am I the only one who knows we are all dead?" Leah made a confused stare at the wall, " ... I don't ... think so? We're all dead? I don't ... remember dying..." Xyloh shrugged, "Eh... some people don't. But that's okay! It's not how we die it's what we do after! And man... it has been boring here lately.." "Oh ... Well maybe they will liven up soon." Leah let out an uncontrolled giggle, and snorted. Liven... lively... bored... ghosts. Is she trying to be funny? "Was that supposed to be a pun?""Was what supposed to be a pun?""I said a pun?""What?""Um uuuum. I... I might have misheard you." There was a silence as they tried to think about their prior conversation, "What were we talking about?""I don't remember... birthdays?""My birthday is this month ...""Oh right and I wished you a happy early birthday... and then the miracle pill..."
