It is if you take it as a biological term. It can also mean a lack of sexual desires.
I hate to ruin fun, but even so, I feel I should point out that Gatz is joking.
So why have you put the definition at being a fetilised egg? Why not, for example, a sperm and an egg?
Nope, but I felt it deserved a mention. :P
Even so, laws of today are interfering with the analogy. The chaingun Toyota, for example, would clearly be illegal to drive on the road, and that factor can taint and bias people's judgement of the paralleled situation of the PS3 when it should not. Furthermore, people are bringing in weapon and gun analogies, which draw upon specific regulation laws, which further confuse the issue. It'd be prudent to lay off the analogies for a bit, or at least limit them to a sentence or two.
Now we're getting somewhere. What moral justifications are you using to define a human at that point? After all, a fertilised egg is significantly less complex than a pig, or a cow, but we happily slaughter them by the billions. Are you averse to the morning-after pill? How about other forms of contraception?
If I had my way, it's what the entire forum would be like. Guys, if we're arguing law, can we lay off the host of analogies, and start arguing with laws? It's complex enough without trying to prove a point by drawing half-functioning parallels.
The lack of Objectum Sexuality disappoints me. Honestly, you should try to be more considerate of others' feelings. How would you like it if you were a minority group, and people refused to acknowledge you?
Please revise your definition of 'human being' to include such embryos, or otherwise explain why you have a problem with it, despite them not being human.
Many embryos are fertilised outside of the womb for practicality. However they cannot all be put into the womb at once. Usually one or two are placed in the womb at a time, while the rest are frozen outside. More often than not, once a foetus has successfully been grown, the remaining frozen embryos are destroyed.
Query: You have no qualms with the destruction of frozen embryos used in IVF?

What definition of 'murder' are you using? The legal definition of 'murder' does not consider abortion to be murder. The law against incest has the intention of preventing children from an incestuous relationship from being born. What is the difference between preventing the incest, and preventing the child that comes from the incest before it is conscious? So what's the difference between aborting a foetus, and using a condom? Either way, the generations of children don't exist. There is no need, but if it's not murder, then it's awfully convenient to kill it. There are already a lot of children in adoptive homes, and they don't have a great future. Also, we've got an overpopulation problem too. So if abortion isn't murder (which we're also discussing) then it seems to be a good choice, as it deals with these problems nicely. Interesting that you don't take the same view of it being fatal. "Suck it up and have the baby. You got pregnant". Presumably she knew the risks before having sex, so isn't the potential danger from childbirth just another thing she should suck up? Gotta love irony. I don't understand what you mean. ;) hOnK. Well the entire point of incest laws is to prevent incest-children, is it not? I don't feel your analogies accurately represent that aspect of the situation. So breaking the law created to prevent the creation of incest-children has a punishment of raising an incest-child and releasing it into society? That seems awfully counter-intuitive, if not directly contradictory of the initial objective.
You know, it's almost as if everyone's a flawed person, trying not to screw up and make mistakes in front of the opposite sex. Who woulda thunk it?
Even though incest is illegal? How about incest rape? (As that sort of thing is rarely consensual.)
That sounds like a more eloquent way of saying this.
Are you addressing me, or Te Deum?
So FKB can get away with ritually sacrificing her cousin. (And Makaze wanted it for some reason.)
Talking≠cheating.
