Sadly, this was my general opinion of Chaos;Head as well. Whatever grievances you had with Taku in the anime, I guarantee that they're ten times worse in the VN, where you're actually having him narrate the story. He's not likeable OR a good detective.

Provided you actually do try out the advice, and make an effort, you will see yourself improving. But the advice only works if you follow it and make it work. Make sure to actually put in the work, and you will be fine.

There are many forms of poetry
But the one I concern myself with
Is that of freestyle poetry, unconstrained
By any of the rules of sonnets
    Limericks or haiku.
More specifically, what I wish to know
Is the difference between a poem
    And a paragraph.
Can one simply write out a paragraph,
    Put line breaks in interesting
Spots, capitalise all the first letters
    Of a row
    And call it a poem
Or does there have to be some deeper understanding
Of the construction of the poem?
Nothing of this sort has been taught
    To me in school
So if anyone would be so kind
    As to explain the idea
    Behind freestyle poetry
    It would be greatly appreciated

Ah, this. I was unaware it had an anime.

It was originally a visual novel. IIRC, it's a sequel to Chaos;Head.

    Hey! =D

Hey. For the most part, it's easy enough to avoid angering people.

As for spoilers on the entire series: Which games haven't you played?

    Riku is Sora's father.

KH2Man13 decided to become a superhero in order to catch Kira. In order to gain the necessary super powers, he did the logical thing, and endevoured to be bitten by as many poisonous animals as possible. Because he felt that it wasn't sufficient, he had a breakfast of uranium with a side helping of atomic waste. Furthermore, he injected himself with all kinds of serums and experimented on himself. For science, of course.

After repeated efforts, which he somehow managed to consistently survive (The hospital staff were very familar with him.), he decided to see if it had worked. He found himself an awesome costume from Ebay, the one-stop fun-shop for everything, and ascended to the highest point of the highest building he could find. After standing on the roof long enough to draw a big crowd, he jumped. Unfortunatly, flying wasn't one of the powers he had gained. He did, however, gain powers of super-paint. The area where he landed turned a dark shade of red shortly afterwards.

Destined was happily walking along after being assigned to the case, and to celebrate, he decided to take a walk down a dark alley. Within the dark alley there were various thugs and drug dealers who were all passed out from the consumption of dangerous chemicals, so Destined just walked on. Afterwards he came to a car park which was packed with cars. This was boring so he went back home after dodging various near death car collisions. At home he made himself some tea, which was way too hot, burning his tongue, causing him to fall backwards. After sitting on the floor from the aftershock, a laundry basket was thrown at his head causing him tremendous trauma of the brain. The others found him crushed under the weight of a plastic basket with various clothes and underwear in it.

Wait a second. The OP never mentions the boss being story-specific. I change my vote to Vanitas Remnant. The only reason I'm not voting Mysterious Figure is because it was too frustrating to make a decent attempt at him.

It doesn't help that my PSP's analog stick seems to be flawed, so that it doesn't move as fluently as it could, especially when sweaty.

Yeah, the media does it everywhere. I'm hoping though that it's particularly bad in America, because the implications otherwise are rather unfortunate for Americans.

That works. But then we still need to figure out why he's there in the first place. Even if he's not a known character, we can consider his alignment, his status and his abilities. Is he just testing TAV, or is he actually trying to kill them? Is he a Nobody or a whole person? Can he time travel?

If we agree that he's the person with Xehanort, then that makes things easier.

To me, this is implying that the Mysterious Figure is yet another version of Xehanort. Time travel, which has been hinted to, would make this extremely easy to pull off.

    Thanks, saved.

It'd be nice if Nomura made these interviews/explanations available to all players, as opposed to those who actually manage to find them. There must be a lot of confused players out there who think Terra can see the future.

It's beginning to sound promising. If it's for the PSP, I might be tempted to try it out.

Is it by Capcom, like Monster Hunter is, or by a different company?

I don't think it's fair to purely blame the people. The real villain at fault here is the media, which broadcasts sensations, such as vaccinations causing autism, as opposed to tamer ideas, such as there really being no link and everything is fine. Bad news sells, after all.

How does the gameplay compare in terms of Monster Hunter? Is it as skill-based, or does it fall back on reaction-commands and button mashing?

I started playing the beta, and it has recently been released to the public. It's pretty fun gameplay, despite the apparent lack of plot so far. I'm hoping that quests will be implemented at some point.

It's still young, so give it a chance. The energy system isn't too bad, as you can often earn enough crowns in a venture to be able to trade for CE to go venturing again, etc.

My username is Pika. Thanks to the reset after the beta, I'm still just starting out, but that's where most people are lying at the moment.

    A decent cartoon? I'm tempted.

How linear is the story? Can I jump in anywhere, or does it help to have seen everything?

And does anyone have a link to proper downloads?

    When They Cry (Umineko/Higurashi)

    Saya no Uta

Links to other discussion threads provided.

The exact definition of a VN seems to be fairly loose. If Phoenix Wright counts, then does Professor Layton? If so, how about other such puzzle games? No doubt a VN is allowed to incorporate some element of gameplay, but at a point it ceases to be a visual novel and becomes an RPG.

    And that's a spambot.

I can see where the American public is coming from in this situation. It's not a matter of deliberate stupidity so much as it's a matter of ignorance. The 18% haven't been adequately informed that the study was retracted. Also, even if they were aware, many people hold a view that they'd rather not 'take the risk'. After all, in their minds, once doubt has been raised, it's impossible to successfully retract.

    Pointer 1: Don't poach people's avatars.

Pointer 2: If you do poach an avatar, don't poach the super-mod's avatar.

Pointer 3: If you poach the super-mod's avatar, and the super-mod criticises you for it, calmly remove the avatar without argument.

Pointer 4: Ask for an avatar in the Graphics Request forum.

They're not the problems that come up most often, but they seem to be fairly relevant to this particular situation.

Oh, and welcome to KHV. :P
