It appears that when RvR rejected my suggestion for a new section all those years ago, he didn't tell the whole truth. Instead, alongside CtR, made the forum in secret, for only staff to use. See how an admin and an s-mod are viewing the thread? They've probably inserted you into the ban-tables, and are just waiting for the index to update itself before you get banned. Don't worry though. It's only for a couple of months. We'll still be here.
I'm not staff. The suggestion has been put forward with a plugin in the suggestion forum, but it was rejected, because it could not be turned off, and the messages could potentially spam inboxes. They're looking into a way of enabling it with the option of individual members turning it off. Until then, we can't do much but sit tight.

Yeah, mods delete spam posts. You don't really have any option other to suck it up, at least until the staff figure out a way to make AutoPM optional, which'll notify you when a post is deleted.
