A smile grew on Lukas’ face when Alec agreed to come with him to the party. “See I knew there was a reason I kept you around. How many of the other do you think we can drag with us? I mean I know I could get Nick there, he wouldn’t have a choice. It will be fun.” His smile had turned mischievous by that point. He liked the idea of it all, going to parties, like he did when he was young. Lukas never went to many parties. There was only so often he was able to sneak away from his father. Plus with the brain tumor for so long, home or hospital there was only so much he could do, whether it was his body or his father preventing. Lukas had gone silent contemplating how they would get out, and how he would get the others to join them, when the door creaked open. “Here it comes.” Lukas mumbled as he fully expected the yelling of a nurse, but nothing, Lukas waited for a moment in tense silence before he heard a shaky voice. It was not a nurse but instead the new girl. She soon rounded the corner enough to see her. “Well well who do we have here? I thought I wasn’t going to see you until tonight.” Lukas gave Ivy a wink. “Currently I am hiding from nurses, I don’t know about you, but if you join me over here we will be out of sight if the nurses comes up.” He suggested.
The rest of the journey was quiet and tense. The pain in Roxanne’s eyes slowly faded to the dull joy of the hunt. In that moment of pain and weakness there had been a glimpse at the girl who laid beneath the mask she had created for herself. She did not want the mask, but some part of her that knew that she couldn’t withstand the realty of things. So a mask was forged in the depth of her heart and secured to her face. A mask of joy and not caring, but now the mask was slowly breaking. Too much pressure eventually causing it to crack; when it eventually broke, Roxanne feared the weight of reality might crush her entirely. Soon they neared the location of the high warlock’s base. Roxanne slowed her pace to listen, but there was no fight to be heard. She caught sound of worried mundanes, some even scared but no threat, no fight. Roxaane quickly equipped herself with a rune of Invisibility before rounding the corner and beginning her approach on the apartment building. There was char marks on the ground and the side of the building, and the door was pretty much non-existent. There had been a conflict but they were far too late. She was a little lost at what to do now as she slowly glanced up at the figure in the apartment builing.
Hey I don't know when you planned to start grim fantasy but I lost my phone on a bus in London and thus reliable Skype and discord. I am sorry but...
Roxanne had forgone momentarily, distanced herself from the utter betrayal, and honed her anger into a calm that focused her around hunting and killing. A defense mechanism, a skewed n, but what she relied on. Her indo taking the hate and the pain and turning I into something lethal which she then used to track down targets she as given. It was all she could do to keep functioning. So when Hendrick spoke to her, she froze. Roxanne tried to shake off the feeling, tried to enter that killing calm that could save Brianne, however she couldn't. Roxanne couldn't make herself move an inch as she trembled slightly. "Shut up." Her voice was quiet and shaky, as if speaking was hard. "I don't want to deal with you and I don't want t deal with that. I just want.... I don't know. I want these thoughts to go away and they won't. Don't add to it." Roxanne near begged him as she forced her feet to move, and the slight trembling to stop. "We need to help Hestia, not deal with this." Just the fact that Roxanne made it about the high warlock and not about Brianne or the fight showed she was distressed deeply. Her eyes were hollow and haunts, but she forced herself to walk, stele out, right nil they approached the building with all its damage done, but no demon in sight.
It wasn't long before Dante was distracted from his adjustments he was making on his device to fire flaming alcohol and instead rating his own farts. It was great fun at the tome, but soon the fun was over. Sniffing the air, his nose scrunched up. "Well I suppose I don't have to worry about any zombies coming near me for a wile. They would probably die from the smell alone. Wouldn't that be a sight to see? But alas I need to work and can't sit around with a bee enjoy the entertainment. But nothing says I can't have a beer while I work!" The young inventor sprang up from where he sat and ran t one of his cupboards full of alcohol. He did not look impressed at how depleted the stalks were. Perhaps he would have gone into town with... wait that guy was an idiot. Dante did know of a few nearby cabins however. With an idea in h's head, Dante grabbed his half functional alcohol thrower, strapped a belt of Mickey's to hi waist and then grabbed the wire and horseshoe. He would take the car topper but it would be to much to carry once he found what he was looking for. He hoped that whoever had lived in those cottages were normal people and would be loaded with alcohol for their time in a secluded area. That was the point of going out into the forest wasn't it? To get drunk and do stupid things. Dante held himself very high and mighty as h marched out the door, confident that no zombie could hurt him during his quest for booze.
"Oh no I am fine. I mean I did lose something, but I can find it. It is just my brothers toy. Sorry I am not quite sure where he lost it, but I don't want to unconvinced you at all." Matilda sort f stammered over herself while she was trying to explain the situation, but not very clearly. Perhaps that was because she was making everything that she was saying up on the spot and lying through her teeth, something he was never good at. Seth didn't say much. He didn't play a big role in any of this, didn't even understand it fully. Seth was there because Tessa was there, the on small light in a pit of endless darkness. A hope that life could be more than tempting death so there was some interest in a life full of running and hiding. However just because he didn't say anything didn't mean he wasn't looking, listening. Listening enough to catch the sound of Matilda's voice. He glanced at Tessa then to the hall he had heard Matilda." If you have returned I trust you found your brother?" Seth asked casual trying not to seem treating. "And what does it matter to you?" Matilda retorted trying to eke her back straight and head held high as she talked. Hide her uncertainty of this situation. "The way I see it, you and your family are in deep trouble fro what I can tell. Running around on your own you are likely screwed and that brother of yours, the young one doesn't stand a chance. Help us and we work together, protect everyone." Seth countered, glancing behind him to see if anyone would follow and back him. Beads of sweat trickled down Terra's forehead. Though the day started to grow cooler, as Terra pushed herself more and more she could feel the effects of it, on her mind and body. Her wounds throbbed a dull distant pain that she knew she would pay for when the medicine she had made wore off. Safe, soon she would have to find somewhere safe. Terra needed rest and food after using so much magic, but she feared staying anywhere right now, not after all that had happened. A fake name and a hood could go a long way for a meal though, she would go from there. The ball of energy that she had been maintaining fizzled out as Terra gathered her stuff that she left scattered in the clearing. With no properly cloak yet, Terra wrapped a scarf around her head and kept her eyes low as she walked through town, picking up the first hooded cloak she found, offering the man far less than it was worth before leav8ing. Terra found herself a old tavern and took the table in that back corner where she could watch everyone and her back was not exposed. From the kit was quiet as she sipped her watered down ale and ate the stew that was set in front of it, deciding it better to not even ask what might be in it. Well fire hurt the thing, that was good to know. Keenan had to by himself just a moment more time torecharge, just long enough to cast a sign. He liked to the others who were fighting, wondering how long he could leave temp to defend. But just because he couldn't cast a sign again yet didn't mean that he could fight it with his sword. Keenan waited, waited till the monster was distracted by someone else then stepped in for his own attack when the opening presented itself. As son as the monster turned to hm he moved away, all the while his hands moving in a lost a rhythmic motion as he cast a sign. He had stopped, hand poised in a certain way and all seemed to still for a moment, that was until he thus his hand forward towards the monster and fire and sparks blasted towards it. Soon after he moved back to a defensive position, hopefully drawing the attention long enough to give the other a chance.
So what forums does everyone moderate now?
Well I mean this category is a given who wins anyways.
Attack on Titan: Reluctant Heroes Roleplay Synopsis Reluctant heroes is a roleplay based on Attack on Titan, but not the anime as we know it. It is based on the concept of what is beyond the wall. I wanted to explore the possibility of things outside the walls not being everything they seemed. I also explored the option of magic in that world. What if things beyond humans survived the reign of titans? The roleplay takes place in a village built high in the trees, filled with humans and magic creatures alike, working together to survive through times of the titans. They keep clear of the humans since humans banished them long ago, afraid of their power. However when a scout mission goes sour and two of the top scouts or captured the people of the small village in the trees are forced to help the people who hate them by reclaiming the territory of the outer wall for the humans in exchange for their companions. ~Concept by Aelin Fireheart
As he got closer to his target, Keenan put away his bow and drew a sword instead. There was no sign of Veera and he had only caught a quick glance of Solomon before the mage returned to the castle. If he wanted to get to and help his fellow witcher then he would have to get through the beast out front first. Growing closer he wrinkled his nose at the stench. "Geez it is worse than a hoard of drowners. Damn ugly beast." He commented. When he was close enough to be of help Keenan dismounted his horse while it was still moving and sent it off running away from the battle. There was no use losing his most loyal companion after all. As he ran forward he found himself near a young mage. He gave her a small smile and a wave of the hand before turning his attention to the grotesque creature in front of them. Keenan quickly cast a sign with his hands creating a shield around himself and then took out a potion, and drinking it. Now prepared for battle he took it upon himself to draw the creatures attention. He ran forward and found himself dodging a couple of attacks, jumping and rolling out of the way before he was able to close the gap for a split second. It was the only time he could afford to get a hit on the thing before moving back, but hoping it would create an opening for his new mage friend that seemed to also be fighting, even if she wasn't in top shape. If she didn't take the opening to fight, then he hoped she would run.
Ha that was a laugh. They really thought he was going to become Zombie food? Had the man not seen the awesome invention that he was working on? He should be gawking... oh right his last throw was an epic fail and lit his pants on fire. He had forgotten about that for the moment. Oops. Still it was pretty awesome. After all who else had ever made a device for throwing flaming alcohol bombs at zombies? It was awesome. After all he was Mr. Awesome, of course everything he made was awesome. That was why no one was allowed in to help him. They would mess with the flow of awesomeness. The door shut and locked behind him as Dante retreated into his cabin of awesome where only the best inventions were kept. He had some work to do. Work that included fixing his alcohol launcher so he didn't catch himself on fire again. He would say it was embarrassing, but nothing was embarrassing when you were as awesome as Dante. Embarrassment was for losers and he was no loser. No he was a winner. He was awesome amd a winner and nothing could stop him. With that in mind Dante plopped himself down at the dining room table to do some work. Five minutes passed of him attempting to do work but nothing happened. Of course nothing was happening. He couldn't work while he was hungry. Instinctively he picked up his phone to call his work but then remembered the fact that his phone was dead and his work was all but abandoned. Besides he hadn't shown up in months now, he was sure to be fired from his job. While that was a pain in his ass, it meant more time for inventing. "All I want is hot girls and pizza, is that too much to ask?" Dante called out into the air, speaking to no one before getting up and grabbing a can of beans. "Well you know what they say. Beans, beans the magical fruit. The more you eat the more you toot." Dante commented before opening the can and started to eat the beans cold from the can then farted and laughed. "Now back to work!"
Are you still interested in role playing? Of course If not, why do you not like Roleplay? N/A What attracts you to an RP? (story, the person who made it, layout, style) Who made it plays a part in it. If I see the owner doesn't tend to follow through often I am not as inclined to join. I like to support my friends roleplays when they make them. I also look at the story of it, is it interesting to me. I am pretty open minded but if it relies on knowledge of something that I don't know, I probably won't join. The style or layout doesn't bother me much unless it is something like a five paragraph minimum post length, then it might be intimidating, but I can usually adapt to any style. Post speed is something else that I look at. A medium post speed (Every 2-4 days) is my preference, I have a full time job, a dog and a life so I can't post several times a day most of the time, but I do like posting most evenings. What's your favorite theme/genere of an RP? I generally like pretty open adventure roleplays. Fantasy and medieval sort of era things are my favourite What annoys you about certain RPs? It annoys me when people try to put some sort of battle system, or any sort of system in an rp and they can't keep up with it or execute it properly. It also annoys me when there isn't enough thought put into it to drive it past the first couple months. Open and free concept is good, but if people get stuck of what to do the owner should be prepared to provide something to make things interesting. What do you look for in a Roleplay? I look for a good story with an openness to let the roleplayers have some freedom of creativity, and organization. How organized the opening post is came make a big difference to me. Sometimes if it looks too cluttered I won't take the time to read it because it is a pain.
Oh come on I am not that insane
Even her endurance seemed to be lacking as Karina ran to the courtyard of the castle, finding herself slightly winded as they arrived, realizing the cornerstone was no longer in the castle. While Karina didn't know exactly where it was supposed to be, she knew enough to know that it wasn't supposed to be sitting out in the open in the courtyard. And then there was the issue of the man next to it in a white cloak. Karina watched him closely, gauging him to see if it was possible to fight him with all of them even though they weren't as strong as before, they did have the numbers to do something. There was no such luck however. He had spoken to the group in riddles long enough that they didn't have time before he disappeared taking the cornerstone with him. So now just to add insult to injury. They were down their strength and fighting, Disney Town was under attack, AND the only protection for Disney Town just disappeared with a man in white. That wasn't where the bad luck ended either. On top of all of this, as soon as the man in white left, leaving them in a world under attack with no way to defend themselves, the sky darkened and Aux stepped out. Out of habit Karina tried to summon her keyblade and ready herself for a fight, but no keyblade came, reminding her of the grim truth. The sky was not only darkening but a vortex appeared in it too as the wind picked up around them, Karina's long black hair whipped around wildly, hitting her face numerous times, as she stood watching for a moment as Aux spoke. Karina laughed a dark laugh to match the dark humour she found in the situation. "I would hate to have your master. Even my father didn't go so far as to command me to kill my friends, and considering how horrible he was, I can't imagine what you are going through. At least he lets you become more powerful, but there is always limits when working for someone else. I wonder what your masters is." Karina said turning her face from the sky to look at Aux just in time to see a few idiots trying to attack him on their own. It hadn't worked when they had their powers, why would it work now? "Idiots." She mumbled. "Perhaps if we had worked together but it is pointless now. We have no chance of winning this so why try. If that thing grows strong enough to pull us in without your help I would rather go in, not beaten and in pain. Maybe there will be some form of peace then." Her voice was low and soft, Karina couldn't even tell if anyone could hear it over everything else. "There is no point in any of this anymore. Fighting will get us nowhere." Karina decided before she started to walk towards the castle. It wasn't her that anyone wanted and by the sounds of it, there was no stopping that vortex, so what could they do? They could fight until she was so injured that she got thrown into the portal and died angry and in pain. Or she could find somewhere comfortable to sit and come to peace with her death and then just maybe, there would be a slight chance to find peace in the afterlife. Though that probably wasn't going to happen, Karina was going to hell and she knew it.
Felicia stayed put on the roof as she watched something strange happen in the penthouse suit, no doubt the work of Hestia. From where she sat she couldn't quite tell what was going on in there, what Hestia was doing. A moment later the high warlock appeared near the front of the apartment where the demon had recently broken through. From there, it wasn't much of a battle to be had. The demon was dealt with quickly and efficiently, what could be expected from someone like the high warlock. Felicia was about to text Rhett again, asking him about meeting, but her ears perked out to the sound of another battle not too far from the apartments. Felicia got to her feet and prowled to the corner of the roof that she had been laying on, searching for the source of the noise. After a moment she notice a werewolf fighting a vampire. Normally Felicia wouldn't care too much, she wasn't too fond of vampires and it wasn't her fight, but the werewolf caught her attention and she growled. He was supposed to be dead and gone by now. Then again it was a damn shame that Grason had been killed before she got to use all her training on him. Now was her chance to rid of him once and for all. The only problem was her still healing wounds. Pacing the roof, Felicia soon shifted back to human form. Unfortunately she couldn't take credit for this kill, not when it was too great of a risk to jump down into a fight with another alpha while there was a vampire likely wanting to kill both of them. But she could at least give the vampire a hand in his kill, even if she didn't get the credit for it. Felicia ran from roof to roof before settling on one with a better line of sight to the battle below her. Her gloved hand found it's way to one of the small knives strapped to her leg. Aiming for the back of his neck, she released her first of ten knives she had strapped to her.
"Thank you ma'am, have a lovely day." Terra took the herbs and placed a small amount of money on the table and turned to leave the shop. She found a quiet spot to and started to work on a simple pain remedy that she had learned to make and often used for the kids. It didn't help heal anything really, just numbed the pain, but it was better than nothing at least. When she had finished making it, she started to chew on the strange combination of plants, it tasted gross but at least it did the trick. Terra sat there for several minutes, just waiting for it to take full effect and numb the pain completely. While she could still function, she was in no rush and didn't want to push herself further, so she waited. Finally it was in effect and Terra continued wandering towards the outskirts of the city. She didn't want to go too far outside the city, it was safer inside, but she needed to find a place that she could train. A small forest outlining the city worked well for that. While she hadn't really been giving her magic a break, she had to build up her endurance. So Terra began doing small magic exercises, controlling small bursts of magic, over and over again, slowly making it a bit bigger then smaller again. An exercise in control and endurance. While her control wasn't the issue, it never hurt to hone it more.
Roxanne shifted anxiously on her feet as Corvo gave her a pointed look. Justice.... Revenge... That is what waited her in the future. She wasn't being let go so she could go live a normal life. They were letting her go so she could do one last service before they sentenced her to some sort of horrible punishment. Whether it was at the hand of the King of Vampire's or at Corvo's hand. That was if she didn't die to a demon first, but Roxanne had enough hate towards demons to not let herself die to one. That was where she drew her line. Some distant part of her mind knew that for a long time now she was pushing the line. Her games were pretty much welcoming trouble and possibly death and she couldn't seem to stick to the rules either, instead trying to talk herself out of trouble. While her mind didn't immediately see a problem in that behaviour, some distant in her mind was telling her she should have seen this coming all along. Thinking about where they were heading Roxanne paused for a moment. "Hestia.... isn't she the one that Brianne is with?" Roxanne asked concerned. As soon as they left Yuri's hideout she took out Brianne's Stele. "We have to help her. Come on. One last hunt! It will be fun!" Roxanne hadn't noticed that she slipped into an excitement at the thought of killing a demon, and cursed herself for it. It would only make matters worse for her. She knew that she had to behave but two thoughts twisted in her mind blocking everything else out. Save her family, and rid the world of another demon. Roxanne sprinted ahead to do those things.
The nurse didn't sound happy, but at least Alec kept pace well and followed Lukas closely until they reached the roof where it was quiet. He didn't know where or how he managed to lose the nurse, but he did, at least for the time being. That might change sooner or later, but that was a bridge to cross when he came to it. For now he was going to enjoy the sunny spring weather. After all, this could very likely be his last spring on this earth, or one of his last. Life was too short to just sit around his hospital room, hooked up to far too many iv's and machines, none of which could save his life, only extended it by months maybe a year. What good was that time though if he couldn't go out and do anything. He hated living in a hospital and would much rather die next week after spending the entire time having fun, than die next year and spend the entire time in a hospital. "Now Mi Amigo, we sit back and enjoy the weather while we can before one of the bitchy nurses finds us and drags me back to my room for more tests and medicines, and probably a good lecture for both of us. But may as well have some fun while we can right?" Lukas replied as he walked to the area behind the entrance to the roof. It was smaller and the fence around the top was not as sturdy there. They had put tape across to keep patients out of the area, but Lukas figured they wouldn't immediately see him if he was back there, so he waved Alec to follow and ducked under the tape, soon finding himself with his legs dangling over the edge of the building, looking out of the city. "Well this hell hole has one thing going for it. It has a great view." Lukas spoke as he looked out over the city. "I have plans tonight but what do you say tomorrow night we sneak out of this place and head over there." Lukas pointed to a hill at the edge of town, It was known for having parties there almost ever night and bonfires that touched the sky. Lukas hadn't gone to one of these parties, but it would be a lie to say he didn't want to go.
This man was crazy. It was a very important rule of inventors never to get high while inventing. Or at least it was the rules with the inventors he had met.... well the inventor. He had only really worked with one inventor before and Dante wasn't convinced that he was all there. That might have been why the rule was not to get high while inventing. That being said the rule hadn't steered him wrong so far, so why should he change it. It might have also just saved him from buying drugged...drugs? Or drugs laced with something? Dante didn't entirely understand how that worked, but either way, the man before him looked sketchy and the way hid kicked at the Ferris wheel. He had not taste for good art it seemed. Why had he even bothered gracing the man with such a magnificent thing when he was just going to kick at it? Such a misjudgment in character it seemed. It would be out of the house at least, and stop reminding him of the depressing failed invention. The man was talking, but Dante wasn't really listening as he was trying to think up ways to improve his inventions. He had barely clued in when Nasir had finished talking. "Huh, what? Sorry did you say something? I was too busy being awesome in my mind." Dante told him with a sly grin. "Anyways I don't want your weed and I don't want you around. So if you would kindly leave. I wouldn't want you sticking around too long and getting any idea's about stealing my inventions or idea's and claiming them as your own. I know they are just that awesome that it is hard to resist but you have to. See I am the one who is going to get rich off them, not you." Dante rambled on. The man had some serious delusions thinking that his inventions would actually make him money one day, but at least he had drive. Dante was about to turn around and walk right back into his cottage, locking the door behind him, when he spotted a zombie approaching Nasir from behind. "Well see ya." Dante called walking away. "You have fun with that zombie." He finally warned right before he got to the door to his cottage. Going in and shutting the door behind him, Dante waited a moment before emerging again, this time with a panago sign in hand. "Nah dude I wasn't going to leave you as zombie food, I was just joking. Hey Zombified son of a b- right..... not allowed to say that...." Dante had started yelling before cutting himself off once more. Shrugging off his attempt not to swear Dante threw the panago sign straight at the zombies head. While it was dazed he took the wire with a horseshoe on it and lashed it out in a flicking motion, much like you would do a whip. It struck the zombie in the face and gave Dante enough time to close the distance and choke the thing out with the wire. "You're welcome." Dante said as he picked up his panago car sign and made his way back to his house. "Best of luck selling your crap and all. I think the zombies will love it." He called out over his shoulder. With that he was back at his cottage enjoying the peace of being by himself and not with some idiot who thought he should invent while high. And while Dante sometimes wanted company, it was not of that kind he looked for. He wanted company of the female variety. Nasir simply didn't fit the picture. @Glen
The door opened, Adolin took lead, and Tessa nearly fell into him. Seth instinctively reached up and grabbed Tessa's arm to steady her while he wondered why the only person that didn't know Sigmund at all was the one doing the talking. Tessa had added in a little point on the end but the protection was on a condition... or at least his protections, so he was not too sure how this entire thing would go over. However the worst that could happen was he said no, and maybe asked something of him right? Even if they didn't get Sigmund's help, Tessa could still be safe and do what she wanted with Adolin's help no matter who much trouble he might be in. Seth drew strength from this. For now, Seth decided that it was best not to address Sigmund. There was not much else for him to say and he would rather not tempt trouble. Instead he simply stood with Tessa, his hand on her shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze to encourage her in this first task since he knew that many more were still to come. Keenan watched from beside the general as he called for a group of knights to be made up so they could ride in to support the people below that were engaged in battle. In the moments it took to round up the knights, Keenan took one last glance at everything going on. Surveying the battle field, all the angles of entrance to it, the best places to take cover. He observed all he could in those short moments then nodded his agreement to the general as he joined the host of elite knights riding into battle. While some of the knights drew their swords, given the distance still left to cover, Keenan opted of his bow at first. He reached down and patted his horses neck, calming her slightly before he let go of the reins. With both hands free and his horse trusting him enough to still ride without his lead, Keenan took up his bow and arrow. There was a slight smile on her face as he listened to the wood arms of the bow creak with effort as he pulled it back, taking aim. While Keenan was a good shot, with all the movement it would be hard to hit one small target among several when they were all moving. So instead he aimed behind them towards a pile of rock and bone that looked pretty loose. Of he could hit it just right he could probably make them fall and provide some cover and distraction for the time being until he could get close enough to fight with his sword. With a slight movement of fingers, the arrow left the bow, flying towards it's mark.
