Aislinn barely got her composer together enough to round the corner and start on the last stretch. She glanced over at Kel then back to the road in front of her. The longer she was on the damn bike, the more her hands shook. "Almost there, just hold on a little longer." Aislinn encouraged Kel, but she more needed it herself. She just had to keep going, keep fighting. They were almost there. Rounding one more corner, Aislinn narrowly missed another bike. Her breath caught for a moment but she cleared her head and kept going. A little further, just a little further. 9/10
Haha too bad I am not an Alien, just a Aelin. Which is arguably better.
As she swung frantically, one of the students she had seen around when staying with Choma found her way over to her, asking if she was okay. No. She wanted to say no. She wanted to say no so badly, but she had to be strong. Instead of replying in the way she wished to, Tinarah just nodded her head slightly trying not to show her fear as she wildly swung at the next heartless that appeared around her. She was not the most graceful fighter, too driven by fear in order to properly deal with the situation at hand the way Choma had taught her. It would take a lot longer than Choma had to drill his lessons in her head enough to override her instincts. For a split second, Tinarah drew her attention away from the battle, to check that nothing had slipped past her, nothing had hurt the violin that she was trying so hard to protect. That precious second was all it took for the heartless to race at her. Two came after her from too directions, and by the time Tinarah noticed it was too late to protect himself. One followed by the other, knocking her off balance. Tinarah hit her butt and she scurried back towards the wall where her violin sat, pressing her back against the wall. She held her arms up tor protect herself, but when no more pain came, she peeked up to notice that all the heartless were gone. Tinarah didn't get up, didn't approach anyone, upset and hurt she was embarrassed and shaken enough to not want to get up. However she observed she was not the only one injured, glancing down at her keyblade and back up at one of the boys in the other group, she decided to try the spell that they learned before. Pointing her keyblade at Glyde she cast cure in his direction, wincing as her ribs ached with the movement. Still trying to catch her breath, Tinarah had not been paying much attention when something jumped down. Tinarah jumped but groaned a bit as pain shot through her ribs once more. Her heart thundered as she observed the masked men in front of them with weapons. Weapons that they were pointing with as they yelled something that Tinarah couldn't understand. Tinarah shifted so her violin case was mostly covered by her body, not wanting them to try and steal it from her. She couldn't lose her mothers violin, she wouldn't let that happen. She couldn't let that happen, it was all she had left. And still, Tinarah could barely be bothered to move or speak up, instead making herself as small as possible, hoping they wouldn't notice her behind all the other students.
Yes I am. I will get one of the staff to get you an invite since I am currently at work.
As Aislinn rounded another corner she accidentally took a corner too sharp and accidentally cut off one of the riders that was on the other side, glancing back she saw them wipe out, their light cycle skidding across the ground without a body to ride it. Aislinn felt sick as she witnessed that, but forced her eyes forward. She had to keep going, she had to win if she herself wanted to live. And she had to live because her sister would need her, she couldn't die the same way her parents did, she couldn't do that to her sister. Eyes set forward Aislinn forced herself to keep going, faster, even if it scared her. She had to go faster, she had to win, because this wasn't about her any more, it was about all of them. She had a partner here and she had to protect him like she would her own family, and that meant winning, no matter how much this game made her sick.
╔════»Even though Lloyd was yelling at him, Arian didn't show signs of caring or being offended. He picked at his nails as the boy talked and waited for him to shut up."Are you done now? Of course it matters, but there is more to this than just them, there is also us and what is best for us." Arian wasn't actually trying to imply he was the best leader for the group. Instead he was trying to imply it would be best for him personally, in his life, if he got the chance to lead the group. Sure he hid it behind arrogance and loud talk, but things never were that shallow, not with anyone. Anyone who thought else wise was an idiot. It was probably the most serious that Arian had been since arriving, facing this boy who was yelling in his face, spitting accusations. No matter how much he deserved it, he didn't feel like taking it. »Thankfully the boy decided to back off as he addressed the entire team in an effort to get to know everyone. He supposed that was a good thing, while he knew the others names, that was about as far as it went. He also knew that flirting with the only girl in the group wasn't going to go over well since she was a little insane. That being said that wasn't going to help him in combat at all, so it was best not to think about at that moment. Instead he listened to the others introductions, keeping his mouth shut for once. As soon as everyone introduced themselves and it was his turn Arian took a deep breath trying to actually calm himself. The man full of confidence crumbled to the idea of talking about himself, the real him. »"Arian Rasasa, from Menagerie. Before any of you say anything, I am not part of the White Fang. I am not here to spy or sabotage any of you, so don't even think it. I don't care what you may or may not have heard about the White Fang and the Rasasa families involvement in it, that isn't me. I am here because I want to prove that there is other ways besides resorting to stealing and violence to show we can fit in with the human society. There is other ways to prove we are worth your time. I came to be a huntsman, but not just any huntsman, I want to be one that is strong enough to face to White fang and stop them with minimal bloodshed. I refuse to lose my family to this revolution, or war, or whatever you want to call it." Arian stated as he walked up and stared Lloyd right in the eyes before turning to the others. He wanted to make sure that they all got it through their heads that he was a little more than he appeared to be. "The hot woman are just a bonus." Arian added just to try and lighten the mood a little bit and be more like him and less serious."════╝ Auburn kept her distance as she silently watched both teams divide up and start to talk. There was introductions mostly, and they all seemed for having their own reason for being there, and from what Auburn could here they had interesting reasons. Hers, was not all that interesting, she was there because she was there. There was nothing all that special about her story, and no one seemed to care that she was out to the side anyways. There were tears forming in her eyes as she stood there watching. She did her best to blink back the tears, feeling left out. Auburn knew it was her fault that she was feeling left out, she didn't particularly care to be too close with other people, they made her nervous and she always thought she would say something wrong. Biting back the tears she stood there watching. At her side, her hand shook as she tried to calm herself. Slowly Auburn took a step away like she was going to leave. She started to desperately want to leave and not deal with the nervousness and pain that she felt by keeping herself away from people. She started to wonder why she agreed to come in the first part. She would never be like her father, never be that strong, or brave, or powerful. She wouldn't be able to work with people like everyone else seemed to. Another step back as a single tear managed to escape her eyes. She shouldn't be here. She didn't belong here. She wouldn't be able to save the world or do what they wanted her to do, so why try? She was just setting herself up for failier. Auburn took another glance back at the group, just to see if anyone cared that she was slowly backing away, deciding that would make up her decision.
The day was quiet as the young elf worked through her normal morning routine, which involved cooking breakfast for her owner, making sure clean, pressed clothing was laid out for him to wear for the day, drawing the bath for him, and then once he was in the bath, making his bed and cleaning his room. Shalendrea was about to bring breakfast up to her owners private chambers, where he preferred to take his breakfast, when a voice ran through her head. "Shale come to me this instant." The voice commanded her, a voice that was not her owner. Shalendrea nearly dropped her tray as the voice started to talk to her. Bowing her head she continued up the stairs, slowing her step enough that she could have her conversation before getting to her owner. If her dragon was distracting her while she was serving him, he would suspect and probably punish her for it. "I can't come. I am working, you know this." She responded through the telepathic connection that she had with her pact partner, a dragon named Rethenth. "It wasn't a suggestion Shale. When I tell you to do something, you do it. Remember I was the only one willing to make a pact with you, what you are doing is illegal, so I would suggest listening before I get really angry." The voice threatened her. It was true, she had made an illegal pact, a desperate effort to avoid the fate that was assigned to her when a dragon rescued her father and demanded payment through the law of surprise. He had asked him for what he found at home and didn't expect. No one could have guess that that would be her mother announcing she was with child. So when she was fifteen the dragon returned for her, bringing his own pact partner with him, the man that now owned her. Her mother had tried to prepare her for it, so it wouldn't be as much of a shock, but all that did was scare her until she did something desperate and stupid by making the pact she did. "I will come once the master has gone to his meeting, it won't even be mid day. I promise." Shalendrea tried to bargain with him as she pushed open the door to her masters room, setting the food in front of him silently before turning to his wardrobe to pull out clothes. "I have had enough of this. Just kill him already. You are not his, you are mine and I have a task that needs done, and I need your help." The dragon continued as Shalendrea did her best to keep her focus and not seem distracted as she entered the bathing chamber. "I will not kill him. I am not a killer." Picking up too buckets she took them out back to a large pot over a fire, where hot water waited for her to draw the bath. "Malai!" The dragon snapped at her in his own language. "I told you already, when I tell you to do something you listen to me." He threatened again, and while Rethenth was not close by, Shale was still filled with fear, knowing what he could do. "Eller naa n'uma honour e' killien" Shalendrea mumbled out loud in her native tongue, Elvish. She might have only been a half elf, and thus fluent in both common and Elvish, but her parents both lived in the northern kingdom, lands dedicated to elves. A sudden pain shot through Shalendrea's head, causing her to drop the buckets of hot water and fall to her knees in pain. There were grunts, but she did her best not to scream as an ancient power flooded her veins, a forbidden spell that burned as it coursed through her. Slowly her eyes started to glaze over as she picked herself up off the ground. Leaving the buckets in the mud, Shaledrea began to return inside. One of the servants of the house tried to stop her as she headed for her masters room, commenting on the mud on her dress and the fact she returned without water, trying to warn her that the master wouldn't be pleased. However a sort of blood lust came over her, one that was not her own. Unable to control it she lifted her hand to the man and let ice flow through her veins as she shot magic at him, freezing him solid on the spot. Shalendrea's magic was strong considering that her dragon couldn't give her as much power as he some other dragons could, but that was because as a half elf, there was already magic flowing through her, diluted but there. She had chosen not to touch it when living with her parents, and she was forbidden from it here in this house. If there was any signs of her even trying, the guards had orders to put her down. Fortunately there were no guards posted in the hallway in which she left the frozen man. Entering her masters bedroom, Shalendrea could have sword she heard a dark laugh through the fog that now clouded her mind, directing her thoughts. She stared down her master as he looked appalled at the state of her dress. Always a perfectionist, even when it came to his possessions, they had to look and act a certain way. He opened his mouth to call for the guards, no doubt to punish her either through whipping or a night in the dungeon, however before he could get a word out, before he could scream, fire burst from his mouth and eyes as he exploded in fire from the inside out. Soon after that the entire house was in flames. The other servants screamed as the guards came rushing. Shalendrea looked as if she was in a panic as she stammered some nonsense about someone getting in the bedroom while she was out drawing water, and how she returned when she had noted a window that she had not left open, open. Given she had done nothing wrong in the past, but rather had been very loyal they let her run out with the rest of the servants. And so, through the smoke and flames, Shalendrea walked out, using the chaos to her advantage as she strolled towards the hill lands, where Rethenth awaited her. Still in a dazed trance that no one could quite detect. Forty-eight..... forty nine.... fifty. Fifty push ups, now on to sit ups before his morning run. Sir Alexander Sebastian Keaton VII worked on his morning exercises in the courtyard outside the barracks. While he was more that welcome to live at the Keaton Manor with his family, where there was every luxury that he could imagine, Alex preferred living among the men he fought alongside. A lords son was not always welcome among those of lesser ranking. Often they found high ranking citizens to be rather uptight and demanding. And while yes, Alex could be that at times, he managed to show that he was enough like the rest of them, to be accepted by the ranks. Living in the barracks with them just enforced that. That being said most of them men still held some resentment towards the young lord, but not because of his power or money, because of his zeal. Most guards quickly got bored of their jobs, working day to day just to make a living, meanwhile Alex always approached things with a very can-do attitude. He was always offering to help, always training, and always taking extra missions and shift, which of course made the higher ranking officers like him more. However no one dare act against him, not when he had a pact with one of the biggest dragons in the area, and possessed incredible combat skills. He might not have had much for magic, but with a man like him, he didn't need it. Watching the sun break the sky Alex stood up from doing his sit up, strapping on his armor in preparation for his run. He always wore it when he ran since, if he ever needed to run, he would likely be in his armor anyways and wanted to be prepared for anything. Just as he got his boots strapped on, he took the time to admire the bright pink morning sky, before noting a haze settling over it. No, not quite a haze, but smoke, like a house was on fire. Glancing back at the barracks, he decided that his comrades wouldn't be too happy if he woke them before they had to get up for shift. "Hevanaar. I need your help, meet me at the barrack immediately. Something is happening in town, I would like to check it out before shift." Alex informed the dragon, wanting back up with him. He knew he should offer something in turn for the favour, after all, it was rare to see Hevanaar up along with the sun, usually took a few extra hours. "I will do you a favour after shift if you do." He offered not sure what else to offer the dragon. "I will wait at the top of the north tower, fly by and I will jump, just be quick. I don't want to miss it!" He almost sounded excited at the action, even if fires generally meant nothing but trouble. It was hard to stifle the spirit of a zealous young lord. This was just another adventure and test for him.
A new decree has spread throughout the kingdom, making sure that it was heard far and wide. With the appearance of a stone of mysterious power and allure, many dragons and partners started to make plan to find the stone. The kings, both dragon and human, ruling alongside each others, wanted it as much as anyone else. Using their incredible influence they made sure the decree was heard, to bring the stone to them. Those who tried to claim the stone for themselves would be persecuted and likely killed for their disobedience. If they obeyed however, they would be rewarded handsomely. Even with the threat and promises out there, dragons and humans alike still strove to get their hands on the stone, on Bahlaan. It seemed that it called to the dragons, drawing them closer. For those who fell prey to it's call it became difficult to even consider handing the stone over to someone else, regardless of orders. And thus started the great search and fights that would shape the future as friends murdered friends, all fighting for the same goal. Fighting to obtain Bahlaan.
Aislinn was still examining her light cycle when a sound rung through the air, loud enough to catch her attention. Shortly after that there was an announcement about the next round. Aislinn looked from Tron to her group cringing slightly. She was not ready for this or what came if they failed. With a sigh she looked at the three males that were with her. "Good luck." She said quietly before looking towards the track. Entering the track she held out the rod and let it transform into the light cycle. "Lets get this over with." She sighed to herself as she shot forward. It was time to try and figure out how to derezz. She did her best to stay clear out of the opposing team for the first lap, just trying to get ahead. She had seen similar to these bikes at home, but had never tried to ride one. After her parents were killed in a car crash, she had always been paranoid, usually opting to walk instead of getting in a vehicle. Given that, the anxiety of the entire event was building as she rounded the first corner, taking it tight and almost hitting a member of the other team before dodging to the other side to avoid it.4/10
No one seemed to come over and help Tinarah, but that was okay since they were fighting the brunt of the battle it seemed. While Tinarah was kind of off to the side on her own, and that made her nervous. Sure she wasn't in the middle of battle and was relatively safe with her friends near by, but Tinarah had a natural fear. Tinarah took a moment to look behind her for a moment, checking on the violin, making sure nothing had gotten past her. So far nothing had. Still her hands trembled as she looked ahead of her at the heartless swarming around. Trying to focus her mind, she swung at the nearest heartless as it came towards her. The heartless went down, but with it three more popped up. Tinarah got scared, her swings becoming more frantic as she tried to bash the heartless away so she could keep herself and her violin safe. Heartless Killed: 10 Heartless Remaining: 36 HP: 20 AP: 0
More introductions, more people walking in as they spoke. Two more names Kiara learned, then forgot a moment later. Two more faces for her to pretend to care about. Those who weren't introducing themselves were agreeing to the ridiculous task ahead of them, and while Kiara had already agreed to it herself, she couldn't help but roll her eyes a little at the entire concept. It was too late for anything to change now however, as the agreement had been made and Lea started to talk about their first task that still lay ahead of them. The locator seemed like a weird concept, and she didn't want to even think about the kinds of experiments preformed to even come up with such a concept. While she didn't care for the heartless it still made her wonder a little bit. Kiara didn't have too much time to dwell on it however before Lea kept explaining the situation to them. Out of all things wrong with this world, all the people to find, they were to look for keyblade wielders. Kiara had been one, and been around them long enough to know that they could take care of themselves, so the concept seemed like a waste to her. That being said if they were not on their side, then it would be helpful to know just who was out there. Unfortunately for Kiara and her untamed anger, they weren't allowed to fight them if they were not on their side. Kiara did her best to hide the shock as Lea declared her a leader of one of the teams. As far as she was concerned, the people she traveled with for ages barely liked her, much less complete strangers. On top of that, she didn't know how to lead. Her mind rushed back to her father, how he lead. Perhaps she could learn from.... No her father was a tyrant, he might have just been the leader of the army but he demanded fear and respect everywhere he went. She hated her father and didn't want to be anything like him. So there was that idea gone. Kiara surveyed her team as Lea spoke, taking a guess who one of the people was. She didn't recognize the name, so she thought it safe to assume the one who had not said a name it must have belonged to. Taking the tracker from Lea, she studied there path as he patted her on the shoulder. It was an effort of will not to slap his hand away, but she managed. What she didn't manage was to keep the annoyance hidden from her face. "I hope your right." She mumbled back after he spoke to her. Facing her team Kiara tried to straighten herself out best as possible and look as competent as possible before speaking. "Okay... Team. Come here and I guess we will look at where we are heading before we head off." There was not much confidence in her voice. In fact it sounded like she wasn't sure about what she was saying at all, which she wasn't. She just hoped no one would comment on it, or else someone might lose a tongue. She held the tracker out flat so that they could all see it, examining the surrounding area and the path it showed. Kiara had spent enough time mindless wandering, she now wanted to know where she was going before she went, if she was in charge of other peoples lives then she couldn't let herself get too reckless. Just because her life didn't matter, didn't mean others didn't.
I'm in
The robot mentioned his life not being like a humans, and Mirela thought about it for a moment. "I suppose you are right. Though I would imagine it almost being more complicated than a humans life in a certain way. I mean in the other ways there wouldn't be the same laws tied to you, not the same emotional driven responses, so that could be easier. That being said I can't imagine not functioning in the matter I do. It would be interesting to try though, just for the day. After a day I would want to go back to being me." Mirela spoke as she worked, placing the plate that she just polished, back on the construct before taking the next piece off, this one much smaller. Taking a small brush, Mirela started to work on cleaning out the inside parts. As she did Aspire was admiring Flicka, who did land on his finger. "She seems to like you." Mirela giggled. "Thank you for your compliment, but the skill it took to make her are nothing compared to the skills it would have taken to make you. Your crafter must have been a remarkable man. I would love to meet him one day. It would be amazing to talk with him. Not that I can say much or be mad. I already got to meet one of my hero's today, so things are pretty good." Mirela stated as she placed the piece back on and continued to move from one thing to the next, cleaning and polishing, so each point was as bright as possible. "Aaaaand done. Anything else you need done? If nothing now you can always come back anytime that you are in town. I will always be here. The shop is open between 7am and 9pm. If you have to come by any time outside of that then you can just knock on the door and I will likely be here. Oh and Sundays I close at 7pm so I can do my shopping for the week. Besides that you should be able to always catch me." While Mirela had shop hours, they were more for show. Really she would make time for people at any point as long as she was home.
