Setting off on the mission, it was a long journey to their destination, but nothing Everette wasn't used to. Lengthy journey's were normal when taking on high paying missions, and the high paying missions were usually the ones that needed his attention most. S-class ranking or not, it was rare that Midarah needed him to help with one of the simpler missions, like baby sitting a pet, those were saved for the new members. Now arriving at the village at last, something didn't sit well with Everette, he didn't like the feeling of this area, how quiet it was. Just how far spread was this illness? Approaching the gate, a guard stopped them. Samuel, surprisingly handled the talking, after just helping himself to reaching into the his bag to get the job slip. "You know you could have asked... or let me do it." Everette scowled over at Samuel. It wasn't that he was totally mad at the boy, he just would rather someone didn't reach into his bag. Sam did however manage to get them entrance, so it wasn't such a bad thing. Pulling down the collar of his shirt slightly more, Everette showed off his own guild mark, gaining entrance himself, following behind Conrad and Samuel into the village. The chief was apparently taking care of the sick people, however he wasn't sick himself. He understood Conrad's concern and agreed completely, but that got Everette thinking. "You are probably right, we should talk to him out here. That being said, if he has been in there with all the sick people, caring for them and keeping an eye over them, but is healthy still, perhaps it isn't contagious. Do you think it is possible they are getting sick from somewhere else? We should look into that when we have time, but first lets go see if we can get the chief out here." Everette responded, looking at the building, lingering outside however trying to see who was around or if there was any way of grabbing the attention of the chief without having to enter the building. Thea was getting tired of the talking and the questioning whether or not she should be going on the mission, she just wanted to go. Soon enough however they were able to agree to some extent about them leaving and the mission was approved by Midarah. While their guild master didn't look the most pleased with the idea, at least she still had agreed, and that was good enough for Thea as they set off. Thea was talking for most of their journey to the town, telling stories about home. She spoke of the dress she wanted to buy with the money from the mission. Thea spoke about anything and everything that she could think to talk about until they finally arrived at their destination, only then did she quiet down. Getting down from the carriage, Thea was already enthralled by the various smells and sounds around the market. Fresh baked bread, there was a sweet smell in the air, and she could see a vendor that seemed to be selling clothing. Thea was ready to run off and check it all out, when she suddenly noticed something. A lot of people were looking at her with rather odd expressions. Thea took a step back, hiding behind Zephyr ever so slightly. "Why are they all looking at me?" She asked, knowing the boy probably didn't have the answer, but this was making her uncomfortable. A teenager approached them, ready to take them to the person they needed to meet about the mission, but even they got distracted by her. At least this girl wasn't giving her odd looks. "I am Thea... And... I am twelve." Thea wasn't sure she wanted to reveal her age, but she didn't think she could lie well enough to get away with being much older. "But don't think just because I am young I can't do the mission. I am just as strong as anyone else in the guild.... well except the S-class and Master Midarah. But no one is as strong as them." Thea pointed out thinking the girl was only asking because she doubted her ability.
Episode Tinarah: Part 13 All You Need is a Change During the time Tinarah spent in her room food was brought in to her and other than that both Mikaela and Torrin left her to her own devices to take in the situation. On the second day Tinarah would have heard shouting outside through her window. The mansion grounds were relatively well-lit so if Tinarah decided to look outside she would have seen Torrin and his soldiers standing in front of several other figures that were kneeling down. Prisoners. "Take them away. I'll deal with them tomorrow night. They're too stubborn for their own good." Torrin spoke to one of his men with great exasperation. "Don't harm them. We can't rebuild if we start killing off our prisoners. Give them something to eat. Perhaps some food will change their minds." A knock came at Tinarah's door. "Hey, can we talk?" Came Mikaela's voice on the other side of the door. While the food was appreciated, most plates came back barely eaten. The food was spread around from Tinarah picking at her plate, but in the end she could never force herself to eat more than a few bites and ultimately gave up. Tinarah spent a lot of time staring out the window or sleeping, not having too much else to do after locking herself in a room without either of her violins. She didn't know if she could play if she tried. The first night she could hardly stop her hands from shaking, and only slept when she was too exhausted to stay awake any longer. Hearing something of interest out the window, Tinarah paced to it and looked out. She could hear Torrin talking, and while he didn't seem to mean the people any harm, the idea of prisoners didn't sit well with Tinarah. Aside from the guards they had been the only other sign of non-heartless life that she had seen here and there was something off putting about the fact it was prisoners. Wasn't there anyone else who lived in this area just to live here. It seemed to only safe haven, she didn't want to believe Torrin and Mika might have not left it open for others to take refuge. There was a soft knock and Tinarah turned away from the window, going to take a seat on her bed once more, pulling her knees up to her chest as she did. "I suppose... You can come in." Tinarah replied softly. She didn't feel like talking, but she couldn't push them away forever, not when she was a guest in their house with nowhere else to go. Tinarah at this time did not look put together at all. Though she had been sleeping, she still looked tired, her hair messy, and her clothes disheveled. She had put no effort into personal care the past couple days and it was evident, however more than that there was a noticeable empty look on her face, like she had been drained of life and spirit and was simply barely existing. Mikaela opened the door and frowned upon seeing her friend once more after two days of isolation. She did not appear well. "Look, I know this isn't where you wanted to end up and we've only given you bad news but...there's more to that here. There's still good left in this world. Even if it needs to be rebuilt after the war there are a few places, cities, worlds, that have already begun standing on their own legs. If anything, this world is probably the worst example for you to show up in since it's so close to the current front lines. Which is why you've seen nothing but soldiers around here." Mikaela went over to sit beside TInarah on the bed. "Hm...I know this place looks nice and all but we really don't have that much. Though I'd be happy to share with you a change of clothes. Come on, if nothing else it'd be nice for you to change into something else. Those clothes you're in are a little...small? You haven't had a fresh change of clothes in a while, huh?" Tinarah watched her friend as she spoke from the door. Tinarah seemed tired but still was intently listening as Mika spoke. "I still.... Mika have you ever been promised that someone will see you again, and you that is the only think you can hold on to. Then after that have them die before you see them again? Now have you had that happen twice in a life time tearing apart any semblance of a family you thought you had, both times and being forced to try and build anew? I don't care how good or bad the situation here, compared to other worlds is, no offense, but I don't know.... I can't build a life again. I need to at least go back to where one is waiting for me. I can't do it, trying to create a new life and waiting for it to fall apart again... I just I can't." Tinarah admitted finally able to speak what was on her mind after two full days of going over what she might say and how to say it. Mika offered her a change of clothes and Tinarah looked down at how warn hers were, not having noticed until it was pointed out to her. She looked slightly embarrassed, knowing of how it may have seemed now looking at her. "I um.... Master Stamatis and I didn't leave the castle much.... sometimes Uncle Fost would bring us stuff though on his short visits." Her voice fell more hollow again, speaking the names seemed to hurt her as she looked away again, trying to keep a hold of herself. After brushing back a few tears Tinarah stood up from where she had been sitting, indicating she was ready to go get that change of clothes that was offered, but she couldn't bring herself to say anything at that time. "I think I do understand, actually." Mikaela said after a moment of thought. "I found my family, Tinarah. My memory came back and I was able to come back home. But that was taken from me during the war. My new family, you, Aria, and all the others I met along the way were lost years later. It wasn't until I reunited with Torrin that I was able to start yet again. Third chances don't come very often and I held onto mine with whatever strength I had and here we are now." She sighed and laid back against the bed. "I thought I lost everything time and time again but no matter how bad things got, I always found something to keep going on. It just took time." She glanced at Tinarah who was already standing and smiled. "So...I take it you're ready for a change of clothes. Great!" She sat back up and stood up beside Tinarah before heading out the door and in the direction of her own room. "Third... fourth.... fifth. I don't even know what to count as a loss anymore... I just I don't think I can rebuild. I am not strong like you Mika, never have been." She said quietly as she turned to follow Mika for the change of clothes. She had not counted getting kidnapped and sent back in time as a loss. Hadn't thought of her brothers betrayal, but she supposed they all fell in the same category as death when it came to the way it had an effect on Tinarah's soul. While physically she looked perfectly normal and healthy, in her heart there were too many wounds, she still bared scars from physical torment, but the emotional one scarred her far more. Never the less, she made at least a small attempt to be normal, socialize, and it started with being agreeable and following Mika to get a change of clothes. Mikaela led Tinarah into her room which was not much larger than the one the girl had been staying in. The most obvious difference was the larger bed that filled the room's space. "Well, here it is." Mikaela moved towards the other end of the room, passing by a framed picture that stood on drawer. It was a faded picture showing the students of Masters Choma and Atmos standing together. Tinarah was not present in this picture. Beside it was a new frame with a picture of Mikaela and Torrin, the latter looking to be trying hard to keep a serious face while Mikaela smiled brightly. In the background of the second picture was a castle unlike any used by keyblade masters to train students. "You can take a few things and use the bathroom to change." Mikaela said, motioning towards the dresser that belonged to her before sitting down on her bed. Tinarah stopped and lingered at the picture of all the students, most noticeably so looking at her brother in the picture. Anger and betrayal started to flood her heart as she looked, her hand clenched at her side. Tinarah looked like she was ready to punch the picture, but she turned away before she could do damage to it, instead turning towards the dresser pointed out to her. Tinarah approached, a little unsure as pulled open a drawer. She felt awkward going through someone else's stuff, but it was offered and she needed it. Slowly she poked through the clothing pulling out one of many tight looking shirts. "Is everything this.... tight?" She asked always dressing rather conservatively. Tinarah finally just picked something out that looked rather pretty despite how tight it was and grabbed a regular pair of jeans. With that she walked into the bathroom to get changed, however didn't come up right away. "Is this.... suppose to go under something?" She asked again as she stepped out of the bathroom, wearing a red plaid corset type shirt, and skinny black jeans, looking around the room to see if Mika might have had somewhere else where she kept coats. Mikaela blinked and chuckled upon seeing how uncomfortable Tinarah was in her clothes. "No, that's just how it is. No need to be modest. You've definitely grown. In uh more ways than one." She cleared her throat and laughed a little more upon saying it. "But if you're really that uncomfortable you can take a sweater or get a change of clothes or...something. Sorry it's not like there's places to shop around here." "I... I don't think I have ever worn anything this... tight... revealing... whatever you want to call this." Tinarah commented thinking about how much Fost would hate it but unable to even say anything on it. It hurt enough thinking about. The last time she even tried to say his name.... It hurt far too much to do again. "Um.. I will take a sweater though..." Tinarah added desperately feeling the need to cover up. When Mika showed her where the sweaters were kept, Tinarah chose one that was more like a coat and put it on, she felt slightly more comfortable now, but there was a faint blush on her face as she stood there awkwardly, trying to adjust the shirt underneath again in order to make it sit lower... That wasn't going to happen. "You don't need to be so modest." Mikaela teased. Footsteps could be heard outside in the hall. "I think we're about to have company." "Good to hear, Boreas. Keep up the good work and we may just see an end to this war. I know I'll be glad to see peace at last." It was Torrin's voice on the other side. A set of footsteps echoed in the hall and faded away as the door opened and Torrin stepped through, raising an eyebrow when he saw that Tinarah had come in. He turned his head towards Mikaela and then looked back at Tinarah once more. "Yes. She is wearing my clothes. Don't stare. It's rude." "Jealous?" Torrin mused, taking a step into the room. "Hm. I think bright colors suit her better." "Well she's wearing red underneath that sweater but she's shy." "Oh? I would be too with you judging her like that." "I'm not judging!" Mikaela frowned. "Sure. You look good, Tinarah. Just relax." Torrin reassured Tinarah. "Hmph. Well is there any news?" "Judging by the current tide of things, once a few of our forces regroup I'll be joining their ranks to lead them into battle. Once we force a surrender, that should be it." "Can't you just send Boreas instead? Why send the king when your best knight could do the job just as well?" Mikaela sounded concerned. "True, I have no doubt he could handle himself but this is more for morale than anything...and also because I want to see an end to this myself. You know how I feel about war. I won't send anyone to do anything I am unwilling to do." He cleared his throat realizing he had gotten lost in the conversation with Mikaela and returned his attention back towards Tinarah. "Sorry about that. Hm. Since you're staying for the foreseeable future, is there anything you need to make yourself more comfortable here? I know it's been tough on you but being king gives me a certain amount of leverage." Tinarah shifted uncomfortably under Mika's gaze, especially as footsteps were heard heading towards them. Tinarah pulled the sweater tight so no one could see her shirt underneath. Soon Torrin appeared in the room. Tinarah listened to the banter and she looked away for a moment. There was a small part of Tinarah that wished she had someone special like that to be with, banter and such. The conversation however quickly moved on to something a little more serious. She could tell that Mika didn't want him to go, but there was value in leaders being amongst the troops. Speaking of troops Torrin tried asking her if there was something he could do to make her more comfortable and something popped into Tinarahs mind. "I... I want to go with you and help fight.... I missed the war but I can't sit by and watch. My uncle... My master died for this. I won't sit by and let it be for nothing." Tinarah insisted. Torrin tilted his head, surprised as Tinarah's response. "Really? This isn't the same as fighting Heartless acting on instinct, Tinarah." Torrin folded his arms and looked over at Mikaela who still seemed concerned though now for the two of them. "But if you're going through with this, then you'll need some more training. You won't be able to use a keyblade so you'll have to use a sword. From now until the battle my hands are free so I'd be more than willing to train you." "I'd do it but the last battle I was in I..." Mikaela looked away. "I lost more than my ability to put up a fight." She spoke solemnly. "But we won't have to do this for much longer. There won't be any need to keep fighting once this is all over. Even the Heartless will not be a threat any longer." He spoke with confidence. "I cant.... Use it at all? I worked so hard to get it back. Isn't it important to defeat the heartless?" Tinarah asked quite confused about this new development in the situation. "But yes... I don't think I can ever.... Be okay... If I keep hiding." Tears still stung her eyes, it was clear she wasn't okay still. She hadn't moved in or got over it. She was barely holding in. However at least she was making an attempt to do something beside sitting in the room. Mika mentioned something about not being able to help and Tinarah turned around and looked at Mika. "Oh what happened? Why?" Tinarah sounded concerned like, scared for her friend. "The Heartless don't pay so much attention to us these days. Especially since we abandoned our keyblades. Clearing those perversions of darkness will actually be easy once we're in peacetime." Torrin placed his hand on Tinarah's shoulder. "It will be alright." He looked over at Mikaela and the two locked eyes for a moment before she looked down and shook her head upon hearing Tinarah's question. "The doctor was blunt when he said it. So much so that I had him thrown in a dungeon for the night. How did he put it? She will never have your heir." He sighed. "Even my magic could not undo the damage." He took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "We can start training tomorrow. When the time comes I'll be sure you're ready to fight." So what they were fighting... It wasn't even the heartless that were causing the problem, but another dark creature even greater? The thought of that troubled Tinarah deeply, she started to wonder if she could accomplish what she said she would help with. Would this be the time line when her life ended? It seemed every timeline that she had been in, it was possible that she would die, her life was headed that way many times before someone stepped in to save her. Chrono, Choma, Fost, they all came for her, but what about here? Would that still hold? Torrin continued to explain what Mika was referring too, and it was quite unfortunate, but Tinarah turned around and tried her best to think it positive. "Well... have you ever considered adopting? With all that has happened I am sure there are lots of children without family, and I think you would be a great mother. It don't have to be your child to make a family feel complete." Once again she began thinking of how Stamatis willingly took her in and loved her, trained her, him and Fost had grown to be her family when she didn't have one. A few tears managed to escape down her face this time before Tinarah turned away from them. "Anyways thanks for the clothes. I will see you tomorrow." Tinarah's tone changed to one that was darker, sadder as she turned around and let herself out of the room, heading for her own. One day passes...
Aislinn sat next to Simba and she didn't speak, she just listened. He had learned for himself and she thought it was best that she was simply someone that he could talk things out too, he didn't need her input on anything. Simba had come to realization on his own... with help from a lion in the sky and a crazy baboon. She smiled as Simba tried to deal with Rafiki's stick before Simba turned back towards the others, claiming he was going back. She smiled at him and took stride beside him. "I know what it is like to lose parents... but doesn't that mean you should hold on to the family you have more? Just remember that when you return home. It will be hard, but we will have your back." She told him as they joined back up with the group, Aux making an off hand comment about what had happened. Aislinn chuckled at AJ's comment about the lion. She liked that. Aislinn looked over at Aux. "So are you ready to stick your nose where it doesn't belong and help these people? It might be meddling, but it seems we have gotten pretty good at that. Even AJ and I, and we are the newer ones here. I am sure nothing could go wrong." She gave AJ a bit of an apologetic smile, perhaps she shouldn't have ran off on her partner earlier, but there was nothing to do about it now but move forward and leave the past in the past.
Episode Tinarah: Part 12 Shattered "Hm...that doesn't ring a bell to me." He scratched his chin and looked over at Mika who shook her head. "I'm sorry you had to be introduced to this world in such a manner but the realities of war are harsh and lying to you to spare your feelings would only hurt you more in the long run. Death still pains me but over time you just learn how to deal with it when you've lost as many as I have. It sounds cold but it is simply the way things are." The footsteps returned and a guard in black armor approached Torrin with a small leather-bound book in his hand. "You may leave us." The guard bowed and left after handing Torrin the list as commanded. "Stamatis? Fost?" "Yes, those are the names she gave you." Mika looked down at her crumb-filled plate, frowning at it. "Alright...Aster...no...Kaio? ..No... Selene..." He flipped through the pages, skimming through the names and using his index finger to keep track of where he was on the list. Suddenly, he stopped and frowned. "Tinarah, I'm so sorry..." He whispered. "Both of their names are here right next to each other. It's likely they died in battle together. Same as what happened with Atmos and Choma...this war has taken so many lives and I promise you that it will not take any more." "No!" Tinarah shot to her feet. "No! No! Not again... No..." She backed up from the table tears streaming down her face. "why... Why me? Not again." she hit the back wall without realizing it, then slumped down the wall. Sitting on the floor seeming to be shaking. "No.... Everyone I love. They leave me. They always leave me. I can't...." she held her head not taking the news well at all. Maybe if one survived, but, her heart broke, again. "You promised... You both promised me." Tinarah sobbed gripping hard to her necklace trying to draw comfort from it. "I'm sorry, Tinarah. Truly, I am. But perhaps you can take some solace that they must be at peace wherever they are. I am sure they died honorably." "Torrin!" Mikaela elbowed him. "That's not what she needs to hear." She rose from her seat and went to the other side of the table to hug Tinarah tightly. "It'll be alright. The two of us can look after you. We're not going anywhere, Tinarah. I always looked after you back when Choma was our master, remember? As long as you're one of us, we'll always take care of you." She squeezed the girl tighter. "I'm sorry but I need to check the status of the latest mission. The scouts should be back by now. Will you two be okay?" Mikaela nodded towards Torrin when he stood. The two silently mouthed words of affection towards each other as Torrin left the room leaving Tinarah to Mikaela's care. Honorable death meant nothing. They had promised to be waiting for her on the other side. They promised her they weren't going anywhere. It was like how her mom promised to come back for her and yet... When Tinarah caught she was dead. And now here.... Mika was at her side hugging her but the words that were said went through one ear and out the other. They were just words and didn't mean anything to her. Tinarah leaned into Mika's embrace. She closed her eyes and sobbed, letting Mika hold her. It was better than nothing after all. "I- I didn't want to leave... I had to go back to my time. What did I do wrong?! Why am I here?!" she would rather be in the time she left or back with Stamatis and Fost however where she ended up, she had no interest in staying.. Tinarah started to focus her magic on her necklace again, while all she thought was, take me back. Take me back. Take me back. "It'll be alright. Don't worry, I've got you." She held onto Tinarah and looked over towards the direction Torrin had gone off in, hearing distant voices from the conversation between him and the scout commander. "Maybe you were drawn here for a reason. Such strong darkness might have pulled you further into the future than you wanted. I don't know. There has to be a reason." She pulled back slightly to look at the necklace Tinarah held onto. She sensed magic within but barely any. Whatever power had brought her here must have been a one time deal. "We have a place here for you to stay. As long as you wish, you can remain with us." Tinarah tried to get a hold of herself just long enough to speak. It was not really working too well but she was starting trying to speak back, resting in Mika's arms. "I-I can't stay. I have to go back." She tried to tell Mika. "I will stay until I figure out how to get back, but I have to return to my time or where I was. I want to at least be with Master Stamatis and Uncle Fost. I am sorry." She felt bad for seeing her friend again and immediately wanting to leave, but she didn't want to stay. "I just... I don't belong here." She tried to justify. It was hard to talk about it though. Tinarah was terrified to offend Mika but what else could she do? Stay in the future where things had gone wrong? If she could go back in time again she could be stronger and maybe help prevent this. Maybe she could make sure everyone was prepared more. "I don't know how that'd be possible, Tinarah. No offense but I'm sure you don't have the power to do it. I know I don't. And Torrin? He's focusing on finishing the war so we can rebuild the worlds." She spoke softly. "I know things don't look good right now, but give it a few years. I know everything will be looking better than they ever did before!" Mikaela spoke with such positivity in her voice that she nearly jumped. "Sometimes you can't run and you have to stick it out and fight." She placed her hand on Tinarah's shoulder. "You can't run every time things get hard." "I am not running!" Tinarah snapped in her sorrow. "I don't want to wait out this future to see if it gets better. I have lost everything Mika! Everything! Not just once either. Over and over again. I was happy but I didn't want to push Stamatis' gift back in his face. I was going to go to my own time, make him proud, make Uncle Fost proud. But they are dead because I couldn't get be there to help. If I didn't try to go home I could have become strong enough to make a bit of a difference. I could have done something, not just skip the entire war just to find out that anyone who still cared for me is dead! I can't do it Mika! I can't." Tinarah pushed herself out of Mika's arms, running from the dining room. She had no idea where anything was but she just had to get out, stop with the stupid empty words. She just needed to be alone, needed to grieve and figure out how she was going to get back home, but to Stamatis and Fost, where her heart still lay. She had stopped thinking of her real time line as home a few years before, when she realized no one would likely care she was gone. She wanted to be back where she believed she belonged. "Tinarah wait!" Mikaela reached out, but it was too late and Tinarah was out of sight before she could even follow her. Torrin stepped in front of Tinarah, taking hold of her arm. "Hey what's going on? Running around like that is a surefire way to get yourself hurt. Especially if you plan on heading outside. That keyblade of yours is going to attract the wrong kind of attention." Behind him stood a man in a black uniform, one of the only other people Tinarah would have seen not wearing full armor. Torrin glanced over at the man, the commander bowing his head and turning to leave them immediately. "Look, I get that this is all overwhelming for you but if you need a place to clear your head and be alone, go upstairs, make a left down the hall, and at the end should be a few empty rooms. Just pick whichever you want and, if you're not ready now, we can talk later when you are." Tinarah stormed around in a grief driven anger, not really noticing Torrin until he had a hold of her arm. Head shot up looking up at Torrin, her eyes red from crying, and her distress was written all over her face. She had not known where she was heading but Torrin warned her again about going outside and her keyblade. "I know. You told me that already. I just want to be alone." She snapped at him trying to pull away from his grip. She wasn't fond of people grabbing her. Torrin gave Tinarah instructions to where empty rooms were and Tinarah without a word turned away and rushed up the stairs, following his directions to where she found a room at the end of a hallway. Tinarah found herself a spot on the bed, looking out the window for only a moment before burying her face into her knees and continuing to cry, taking some solace in the fact she was now alone. "You promised. You both promised me you would wait. Why did you have to leave me? Please Master Stamatis, lend me the strength to return, to train more until I am ready to help stop this future." Two days pass...
We would have rocked it as a team!
As Thea waved the paper around, first no one came, but Samuel did tell her that she had to eat. She had kind of forgotten about that, though as it was mentioned her stomach growled, right on cue. "Okay Samuel! I will! Just after I get a team to come with me on this mission. I promise!" She shouted back at the older boy who often seemed to look after her when he could. Thea did appreciate his concern for her even though at times it could feel a bit much. Soon after Zephyr then came up, actually acknowledging her request for a team. Thea beamed as he asked if he could tag along. "Of course! I would love to have you along Zephyr!" Thea exclaimed. There really wasn't many people in the guild that she wouldn't want coming with her. Gavin approached soon after Zephyr offered to tag along, asking if Zephyr was bringing her along. "Bringing me along? You would be tagging along. See I got the quest, I am making the team. Not that I mind though. I would love to have you join us." Thea declared completely oblivious to the fact that they could have been talking about the mission without taking the slip with them, and she wasn't necessarily the first to look at it. Gavin proceeded to express concern for her going and Thea didn't look too impressed. "I can take care of myself. I am not a child. Besides I have been practicing, watch!" Thea summoned a ribbon of fire to her hand and started weaving the red flames between her finger tips, before sending it up into a small firework like explosion. "See I have been getting better!" She pointed out before her stomach growled again. "Lets head out soon... but first Samuel said I had to eat. I will be right back!" The ran off and grabbed herself an apple and a muffin from the breakfast table, running back to the two boys as she ate the muffin as fast as she could, getting crumbs everywhere. She wanted to leave soon, so she had to eat fast. "Fine, agreed." Everette crossed his arms. He knew what Samuel was saying was logical. They couldn't run away too fast, that would just be stupid and not helpful to anyone, but he was still concerned with the safety of his guild mates. Thea started to call out for partners for her mission and Everette smiled. She never did change. Always the same enthusiasm and she never liked to go choose her own team mates, she always let them come to her. It was something he didn't see often and he loved it, just brought some life into the guild.... not that this place wasn't lively enough as it was. Everette laughed as Samuel lectured her about breakfast. "Look who is talking, if I remember correctly, I had to drag you out here to get a proper breakfast." The topic quickly changed back to their mission on hand and a suggestion of bringing their own supplies. "That isn't a bad idea. There is a good chance that it isn't someone strong out to harm them, or else they wouldn't resort to making people sick, meaning we are probably no better indoors than out in our own tent. May as well make ourselves low impact while we are there." Everette agreed. As time to go was drawing near Conrad mentioned going to collect stuff and clear the mission. "I will let you and Sam handle basic supplies. I clear us to go on the mission but I will go tell Midarah where we are since I won't be around the guild hall today. We head out in fifteen." Everette instructed as he turned and made his way over to Midarah to inform her of the plan.

Episode Tinarah: Part 11 A Time Line Changed? Torrin whistled, the sound of it echoing through the area. A guard in black plate armor showed up to open the gate. "My liege. The Queen awaits your return." The guard bowed as Torrin nodded at the man in response. Torrin motioned for Tinarah to enter first. "We should be safe here." He finally spoke once they were within the mansion grounds. Not even with the two of them did Tinarah believe they stood a chance at dealing with quite that many heartless all at once. Fleeing was the only option, even if the heartless were gaining on them as they tried to run. Tinarah was thankful for all the training and trips to the well that Stamatis had made her do. If it wasn't for that she didn't think she would have the speed or stamina to even try to keep ahead. However the further they ran the more the heartless caught up, until Torrin suddenly stopped. Tinarah hesitated for a moment as she turned back to look at him. He was buying them more time. If they caught up again, perhaps she could help next time. Torrin ordered Tinarah to keep moving, and she didn't bother to question it as she picked up her run again, following closely behind Torrin, to where ever he was taking her. She didn't have time to really look around and keep track of where they were going, just as long as they got somewhere safe where she could contact Fost and tell him she was alright then she would be happy. Soon enough they arrived at a set of gates, finally a sense of familiarity set in. "This is where I met you the first time, isn't it?" Tinarah asked slowing her pace as they entered through and a guard greeted him. Tinarah was curious about the terms used. She didn't remember there being any sort of queen in this town, not that she spent much time there in the first place. Tinarah tried not to question that part too much however, she was young at the time and didn't fully grasp what had been going on. "Is there a place I can go contact someone. I promised Uncle Fost that I would let him know I was safe when I was back in my own time.... though this doesn't seem like my own time... how long ago did you think I died?" Tinarah asked trying to sort out the time period. She hoped that she was simply 23 years into the future from when she left and she didn't do something terribly wrong. She hoped that Fost was still around to get her call. Torrin nodded at Tinarah's question. "Yeah. I was looking for something back then." He looked at her curiously, tilting his head. "You...don't seem to be the right age for how long you've been gone. And from the way you're looking at me, I don't think you remember exactly who I am anymore. That's fair since we barely knew each before to begin with. My name's Torrin." He motioned for her to continue following after him as he walked towards the mansion. Along the path that led from the gate were more guards in armor that bowed their heads as they passed. "It's been...maybe nine or ten years since you disappeared." He scratched his chin and nodded to himself finding that the approximation was correct to the best of his knowledge. "Fost? The name sounds familiar...I heard it a few years back when the keybladers were mounting their offensive. If you're thinking of using your keyblade to contact him, don't. It draws the Heartless and makes them more violent than they usually are. The only reason they aren't chasing you still is because of the magic I've placed keeping this location safe. What about contacting your brother? Chrono, right? He's...still around but it'd be better if I prep you before you can go see him. Look there's a lot you need to be caught up to speed with so it's best to save any thoughts of happy reunions for another time." "Torrin. Right, that does ring a bell." Tinarah pondered for a moment. She remembered a little bit about him, enough that she let herself relax slightly while talking to him. He did mention that she didn't seem the right age for when she disappeared and Tinarah was ever more confused. How did she manage up outside her own time line yet again? As much as Tinarah wanted to know, she kept quiet and waited until they were inside. "Ten years? But I was only gone five... and those years they were... lets say in a different time line. Again long story." She told him starting to worry more about the well being of Fost and Stamatis. 28 years had passed since she left them. Worse than that Torrin warned her not to use her keyblade to contact him. "There has to be a way. When I left I said I would contact him from my own time, if what you say is true than I am late by ten years. I need to know how he is holding up, Master Stamatis as well." She insisted. Since Torrin knew so much perhaps he knew another way of contacting them. However Torrin then mentioned why she wasn't asking about her brother and Tinarah hesitated. "I don't know if Chrono would want to see me. He was the one who tried to kill me after all." She said wincing at the though. It still hurt sometimes to think about that day on the bridge. "What do you mean prepare me to see him? Torrin what happened while I was gone?" She pressed looking very concerned as she glanced back at the dark world outside. While she wasn't there to help something clearly went very wrong, and while Tinarah's presence in the correct time line likely wouldn't change anything, she still wished that she was able to at least try. The doors of the mansion opened before them, guards allowing them to pass before shutting the heavy doors behind them. Inside the mansion was pristine and illuminated by candlelight. A beautiful crystal chandelier hung overhead and the interior smelled of freshly baked bread. Torrin sniffed the air and smiled. "Ah. The chef must have finished." He glanced over at Tinarah and, reading her expression, dropped his smile. "Time travel? Hm...that must explain it... In any case I better start explaining what happened. What you see around you is the result of the Second War of the Realms." He paused, realizing that perhaps she needed a history lesson to understand the gravity of the situation. "Long ago, before the Keyblade War, the warriors of darkness and the guardians of light clashed. Their exact reasons for going to war have been lost to time but the records that survived have stated that the warriors of darkness nearly won the war and that soon both Realms, even the Realm Between, would be flooded with darkness. The unstable nature of darkness threatened to destroy everything and so the two sides reached an agreement to end the war. Following me so far?" He paused once more until she gave him to confirmation to continue. "History repeats and the keyblade wielders went to war once again. This time the Realm of Light was lost to the darkness. There's resistance fighters here and there but the victor has already been decided." He spoke solemnly. "Many were lost. Aria, Take, Glyde..." He sighed. "Your brother, Illiana and her brother, and a few others who still wield the keyblade still live. Your brother missed you terribly but I do no recall him ever having tried to kill you. I do not believe he would ever have done such a thing." "My lord, the Queen is in the dining room. She is eager to see your guest." A guard spoke after approaching the two. "Ah yes, I hope you're ready to see a familiar face, Tinarah. Perhaps it will lighten the mood. I know such news is difficult to hear but it is not all doom and gloom." A war... this was caused by a war, and they lost. More than that they lost her friends, Aria, who had always tried to be nice to her. "And Mika? What of her?" Tinarah asked, fearing the worst as they walked in the mansion. Tinarah was too distracted with the information to notice anything with the smell of the bread or the beauty of the mansion. Last she had seen it, it was in shambles, and now it had been redone, but none of that meant anything. "Yeah well, I didn't think that he would do anything to hurt me either, but when I saw him after being taken by the Light Chaser, he claimed I was too weak and would hold him back. He threw me off a bridge after that, it was kind of where my training really started." Tinarah admitted as they stopped in the entrance hall for a moment before a guard approached them, speaking of this queen once more. Apparently it was a familiar face and Tinarah's curiosity rose. "We shouldn't keep the queen waiting then." Tinarah said trying to keep her emotions level until she fully understood things, like where her brother was and who this queen was, and if she could ever contact Fost and Stamatis is check on them. If they light lost this war... what happened to them? Torrin held off on answering about Mika when he heard a strange phrase. "Light Chaser?" He raised an eyebrow, sounding genuinely confused, and began walking towards the dining room. "You'll have to catch me up on what happened to you over dinner. When I last saw you, you were a little girl. Now...well you've certainly grown into an attractive young woman." He stated simply. As they approached the dinning room, the intricately woven carpet paving the hallways muffling their footsteps, an aroma of cinnamon, fresh-baked bread, vanilla, and fruit laced the air. Torrin grumbled. "Smells like my wife got the case of the sweet tooth again. You'll have to deal with dessert instead of dinner it seems." The entered the dining room and three plates had been laid out, one at the head of the table and one on both sides of the large oaken table. They were empty for the time being as the chef in the kitchen just further beyond must not have finished preparing everything. Torrin's yellow eyes flashed and he shook his head. "Haven't we spoken about this before? I sit at the head of the table. Queen or not, I cannot have you stealing my chair." Spoiler Mikaela flashed a playful grin and leaned back in Torrin's seat to get more comfortable. "But my King, I've found this chair to be more comfortable than my own." She blinked and cocked her head to the side as she took notice of Tinarah. "Ah so this is our guest! My my...I haven't seen you in quite some time. It's been so many years, Tinarah. I can't believe you're alive! I'm glad to see you again. What happened to you?" "Time travel it seems." Torrin walked over to the head of the table and stared at Mikaela before she conceded and stood up to allow him to take his seat back. As he got comfortable Mikaela rushed over towards Tinarah's side and hugged the girl. "I almost didn't recognize you. You've grown so much." Mikaela smiled and gave Tinarah a light squeeze. "I suppose I do have a lot to catch you up on. I will tell you the entire story, I promise." Tinarah said in earnest. There was a lot that she had been through in the last six years, and very little that Torrin knew about it. Given her time before she was taken by the Light Chaser, he might know more, she had no clue how well Torrin got to know Chrono or Choma, but everything after that would have been a mystery to them since they assumed her dead it appeared. As they stepped in the dining room there was a mention about dessert and Tinarah paused to smell the air. The last time she had dessert for a meal was... Well they were celebrating her 16th birthday. Tinarah institutionally touched her necklace that Stamatis had given her on that day. She had to stop for a moment to hold back tears as she looked around, her eyes finally laying on the person that Torrin was chastising for taking his chair. "Mika?" She asked a little unsure. It had been some time since she had seen the girl, she looked different now than when they were younger training with Choma. Mika seemed more mature, she felt older and Tinarah didn't like that. What she remembered of Mika she was young and innocent and... different in a way that Tinarah couldn't explain. That being said there was still the fact that she had also changed a lot since then. Mika came over to give her a hug, and Tinarah hugged her back as they stood there. "It is a long story, I promised Torrin I would tell you over.... dinner." She said eyeing the food. With Stamatis she always had to eat healthy, so this wasn't as much a treat as it just seemed odd. Letting Mika take her seat first, Tinarah took the free one in which she assumed was for her. Tinarah was the last to serve herself food, but eventually as they settled to eat, she took a deep breath. "Well it is a long story, but here goes nothing." She said fidgetting slightly as she got ready to tell it. Tinarah was still nervous and this conversation was making her uncomfortable, however it was one that they needed to have. "I don't really remember the start. I know that I went off to prove I could do things on my own, and helped in that one world. I was trying to fight heartless and protect a guard. I think I was knocked off the boat because next thing I knew I was back in this world which I thought had been lost to darkness. A boy was carrying me and I was with a man that called himself Light Chaser. He healed me and warmed me up, but if I remember what Master Choma was saying properly, the Light Chaser was supposed to be bad. He was nice to me however, he even healed a scar of mine. Then Aria was there and she told me she wasn't allowed to leave. I promised I would bring back help for her. Anyways Light Chaser promised to send me back to everyone and opened a portal. On the other side it was foggy and I was on a bridge. At some point Chrono found me and I tried to get him to take me back to you guys, but he called me weak and..." Tinarah paused for a moment as she sounded upset, trying to get through that... "...he picked me up and threw me over the bridge. I don't know how but I survived." At that point Tinarah seemed upset and really unsure of her words. Picking at her food a little bit she took a breather before continuing on. "A young boy found me and brought me into his house. The heartless attacked his home too and we had to run... I couldn't summon my keyblade you see. We ran, his parents bought us time. Even then the ground was breaking, I made it across a chasm.... he didn't..." She admitted trying to think happier of the next part instead of dwelling on the sad parts. "That is where I met Uncle Fost. He got me out of that world and tried to help me find Choma. When we did however Choma was... he was so young. So Fost took me to his friend, an expert in time magic and I spent the next five and a half years learning to use my keyblade again and getting strong enough to send myself home. However when I tried... well I ended up here and you know the rest. Fost and Stamatis are expecting me to contact them... or they were ten years ago. I still need to figure out how to do that. Make sure they are alright." Tinarah stated the bit at the end hoping that Mika or Torrin were willing to help in some way. Torrin hardly touched his food as he listened to Tinarah, all the while Mikaela scarfed down as much as her stomach could take while her gaze remained fixed on the girl. "That's...an interesting tale but some of it doesn't make sense to me." Torrin scratched his head and looked over at Mikaela who shrugged in response but continued to eat. "I don't remember anyone talking about a Light Chaser back then. But these masters you speak of, Fost and Stamatis, have gotten me curious. Guard! Bring me the list of the fallen." From just outside the dining room the sounds of hurried footsteps could be heard. "The list contains the names of every keyblade master who's died in battle. There were too many students for me to keep track of so I had to make due with just a list for their masters." "If they're alive, they won't be on that list. Otherwise..." He lowered his head and paused for a long moment before continuing to speak. "Well, at least you would be able to join us. We would love to have you stay." He offered. Tinarah thought about Torrins response. She looked a little puzzled too. "A master and her students went missing and they said it was this guy, the Light Chaser. I can't tell you much about it though." Tinarah tried to tell him but didn't have enough information to help much. Torrin then called for the list of the dead. Her heart squeezed. "Please don't tell me that they are in that list, please. I don't think I can deal with that again. They have to be alive." Tinarah sounded a bit panicked like she was scared of losing people. "I- I don't mind staying... But I want to know they are alright. I want to see them."

The conversation with Yukyo was short lived. More of a greeting before he was taking off to do his own thing once more. Thea was left sitting on the window sill staring outside for a moment as Yukyo went back in. She supposed that she herself needed to take a look at the job board as well and see what she could do that. With a bit of a sigh, Thea stood up and turned back inside to everyone talking, just in time to see Yukyo jump on Sam and Everette's heads. She giggled a little bit at that, of course he couldn't miss his chance to do something like that. Walking through the hall she made her way back to the board and glanced at it. The one with the most jewels caught her attention and she ripped it down to get a closer look at it. A Price Unpaid.. but she needed at least two other people to go with her. Thea thought about who to ask, before shrugging. "Hey everyone! Who wants to go on this mission with me?" She called out as loud as she could as she waved the paper in the air waiting to see who would come rushing to her aid... or rather, who wouldn't. She was the adorable child of the guild she was sure lots of people would love to come with her. Him, Conrad, and Sam, it was sure to make a good team for this mission. However before he said much more Yukyo jumped on his head and Everette scowled. "Hey!" But before he could say much more the man was gone. Turning back to his team "Whatever is going on it must be more than a normal virus, meaning it likely won't spread like a normal one either. We will just be careful, and if either of you start feeling sick, we won't continue, I won't let you risk your lives." Everette scolded a bit, especially to Sam. Samuel had been his best friend since he arrived at the guild, he didn't want to lose him. Thea then started to yell out and Everette tensed. He was worried about how she was going around picking out a team and kept an eye in her direction. If some good members of the guild didn't join her soon, he might just have to leave Sam and Conrads group to make sure Thea was okay. After all she was a point of concern for the guild so he wanted to make sure that she was safe.
Everette chucked watching how Sam sat over his food, protecting it. "I think you are safe, I doubt Yukyo would try the same thing twice... And if he does, well he will have me to deal with." Everette assured Samuel. It wasn't like Everette would do much besides perhaps scolding Yukyo, maybe placing him in a maze of mirrors to keep him distracted for a while. The worst part about that plan was that Yukyo wouldn't be distracted trying to escape, he would be admiring himself in those mirrors. The thought entertained Everette a fair amount, as he tried to hide the smile from his face when Conrad walked up to them. Looking over at the other boy who sat at the table, he seemed to be talking to Samuel about a job. Everette's eyes darted down to the plate of food in front of Sam, then back to his face, a silent command that he better still eat. It wasn't that Conrad was trying to discourage Samuel from eating, but he knew how distracted Samuel could get. Everette leaned over and glanced at the mission details before shrugging. "Looks interesting. Perhaps I will tag along... If you don't mind of course. Not much in the way of S-class missions right now." Everette commented. He didn't want anyone to feel like they had to take him along, but he wouldn't mind going on a mission.
Episode Tinarah: Part 10 Back To The Future Tinarah had grown in power by then. Enough to the point where Stamatis was confident she would be able to leave this time and return to her own. He had called for Fost to return and, true to his word, the master returned. By that point Stamatis had already begun to further train Tinarah in the ways of magic and from time to time Fost would infrequently drop by. Though his visits were always brief he always came to visit. Tinarah's training now consisted of visiting other worlds with Stamatis to clear worlds of minor Heartless threats and there were times where he would allow the girl to work on her own. She had proven herself more than capable of standing on her own. And despite the pride he felt in the growth of his student, Stamatis knew it was time to let her return to her own place in history. What would be years for him to see her again could be mere moments for her. "It has been a pleasure teaching you, Tinarah." Stamatis said once they three were finally standing in the entrance hall. "How many years has it been since you first came to me, a scared child barely able to wield a blade?" He smiled. "You have grown much since then. I am truly sorry I could not have returned you home sooner but I feel the time spent with you was an experience I would not want to forget." It was getting to the end of her time there, Tinarah knew that. She was going to other worlds now and she was getting noticeably stronger, her magic improving along with her confidence. However with every stride forward it meant a stride closer to having to leave. Tinarah hated the thought. While she might not have been as bad as when she arrived, her issues with being left still stood somewhere deep in her soul. Now as they waited for Fost to arrive Tinarah started second guessing leaving now. Fost arrived, but instead of the joyous hug and conversation that normally came with his arrival, she stood in tense silence trying to think of what to say. Looking up at Stamatis, he started the conversation first, probably for the best. Even as he spoke her lips trembled, trying to keep back the tears. "Don't apologize. It... I... I am sorry for how I acted those first years. You have been a great teacher and like a father to me. You where what I needed when I needed it, thank you... I... I almost don't even what to return, though I know it is where I belong." Gripping onto her necklace she let the tears roll down her cheeks freely. "Thank you both. I promise to come back and see you both on the other side. And maybe... Maybe I will come see you Uncle Fost and we can have enough time to spar this time, and I will play my violin for you... hopefully my mothers if it still survived." She assured him. "You just have one last thing you both promised me. I need to know how to find you again." Stamatis placed his hand on Tinarah's shoulder and smiled at the girl. "It will be alright." He spoke with confidence to cheer her up. "Wherever you may go, we will be in your heart and you will be in ours." He added softly. "As cheesy as that might sound...yeah, kid. He's right. Our bonds are stronger than time or distance." Fost nodded. "It would be nice to see you again. Just go easy on me. I'll be nearly twenty years older than I am now. Not in my prime to be sure. Stamatis though? His kind just doesn't seem to age much." "Back on topic, I believe it's time I show you how to get back in contact with us." It took several minutes but Stamatis taught Tinarah a spell that would allow her to contact any keyblade wielder so long as she had their name. Essentially all she had to do was place her keyblade in the ground, close her eyes, and call the name of the wielder she wished to speak to. If they knew the spell as well, they would be able to respond. "That's it then." Fost spoke once Tinarah had been taught. "Are you ready, kid?" At first Tinarah didn't know how to respond. Part of her wanted to make a joke of how cheesy it sounded but her mouth wouldn't let her speak the words, not when her heart felt like it was breaking. There was no light hearted humor left for the moment, instead the weight of what was to come weighed heavy on her shoulders. She knew that she should be happy, looking forward to returning to her own time, however it was difficult. What she told Fost on the day he left her with Stamatis, about having no family waiting for her, that had not changed. She was returning, but she didn't know what she would find upon returning. She didn't know what to make of the situation that she had left. "Are you telling me you plan to retire in the next twenty years. You aren't that old." It was the closest thing Tinarah could get to a light hearted humor as she looked back to Stamatis as he was ready to teach her what she had wanted to know. Tinarah tried to keep calm and collected long enough to properly learn the spell, practicing it a few times with Stamatis. When she returned to her own time she couldn't double check how to do the spell, she needed to get it right now. When she finally got it to the full extent Fost spoke up again asking if she was ready. "In all honesty, no. I am scared of what I am to face back in my own time. But... You both have done enough for me already. I suppose it is time for me to return isn't it?" Tinarah stepped forward to give Fost one last hug, he always gave the best hugs. "I will contact you the moment I am back in my own time, let you know that I am alright and it worked. I promise." "We will be waiting for you. Do not worry. Be strong, Tinarah." Once more Stamatis reassured Tinarah. "Whatever is waiting for you on the other side will be something you can handle." Fost loosened his hold on Tinarah to let her go after one last hug, making sure to make this one last just a little longer than any other he had given her. "You'll be fine. And if you need any backup, we'll be there." The man took a deep breath and stepped away from Tinarah. He looked over towards the fellow master and they each nodded solemnly towards one another. "We will be seeing you soon, Tinarah. I promise you." Stamatis's tone changed to a quieter one. "Just take the charm you have and concentrate on it. All you must do is pour your magical energy into it and you will be in your present, our future, before you know it." "I will try." She promised. She was stronger now returning to her own time. For a moment she looked down at her brothers keyblade, studying it for a moment. "I wonder what you will think when I return. I guess it is time to see if I have become strong enough to be worth while..." Tinarah whispered honestly not knowing what she would do if she was rejected by her brother. Perhaps Stamatis or Fost would take her in if she wasn't able to help on the quest her brother was on when she left. Either way it was time to go. Tinarah let go of Fost and walked over to Stamatis giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I expect you to be practicing after I leave. It would be a shame if you couldn't keep up with me in 18 years." She smiled slightly. "And take care of the violin. I can't take it with me this time, but it is a nice instrument, and it means a lot to me. It would be a shame if it went to waste." She finally said before holding tight to her necklace. With one last half smile, though tears still ran down her face, she did as she was instructed, pouring her own magic into the amulet, feeling the warmth flow through her into the small object in her hand, letting it take her back to her own time. Tinarah found herself in the middle of a ruined town. It was dark and difficult to see more than a few meters. The only reason there was any light at all was the fact that the moon, casting a dim reddish glow, was out in the clear night sky. It might not have been obvious at first but if Tinarah looked she would have found no stars in the sky, just a black endless void. No building around her remained intact. In the distance pairs of yellow eyes stared at her. They began to close in on Tinarah. Beyond, even deeper into the darkness that filled the world, a larger set of yellow eyes emerged and glared down at the girl. The sound of a building crumbling could be heard in its direction as its footsteps caused small earthquakes as it headed in her direction. More and more Heartless began to appear until there were hundreds of glowing eyes coming her way. "What are you doing out there!? Get over here!" A male in his 30's with silver hair that shone in the dim light showed up behind Tinarah. His voice was familiar to Tinarah but darker in tone. He ran over towards her side, a black uniform clearly visible now. His features had changed and his eyes had changed into a yellow similar to that of the Heartless but everything about him would have been a dead give away for someone she had not seen in a long time. Spoiler "Wait..." His eyes narrowed at the girl. "Tinarah!? What the hell are you doing here? I thought you died years ago!" Torrin's eyes flashed in surprise but there was no time to chat. "Damn, there's too many of them. Follow me!" As the warmth washed over her and faded, Tinarah opened her eyes to see where she was now. She didn't know where traveling into the future might bring her. She had left from a sleeping world help by the Light Chaser. Before that they had been in a world that she was hardly familiar with. What happened when she traveled back to her time? Opening her eyes she half expected to be in Stamatis's castle. Instead she found herself in a dark place. She looked around trying to assess where she was, all she managed to figure out was that she was outside, in a crumbling area. As she scanned the area trying to figure out where she was and if she should call Fost or Stamatis yet, a pair of yellow eyes stared at her, ones that she was used to by now. Instinctively she summoned her keyblade and prepared to fight as an entire horde of them appeared before her. The number kept growing as the ground shook with their steps. "I am not ready for this." She mumbled to herself seeing no other option but to face it anyways. Before she had to however Tinarah heard a voice and turned to face it's direction, keeping in mind the heartless coming her way. "I... Um." How did she explain she traveled from the past trying to get to her own time and ended up here? As the man got closer there was a vague recognition of him. It took Tinarah a moment to figure out why however. "Y-your that guy that we found in that mansion weren't you?" Tinarah asked a little confused. She honestly didn't remember his name, it had been too long, and they only knew each other briefly, in which her brother was never fond of him. He mentioned something about her not being dead and it set in that she wan't the only one who aged. "It is a long story. I will explain when we are safe." She urged as she turned in the direction he was looking when he asked her to follow. There was certainly going to be a lot to figure out and share, given she was gone for around five years now. If she had gone to five years into the future from where she left, where she would belong given her age, then it was going to be difficult to explain. The Heartless began to swarm them, Shadows clumping together into massive waves that tore through the ruined buildings behind them. As Torrin picked up his pace he looked over his shoulder to see the Heartless closing in on them. He made a sudden stop, letting Tinarah get in front of him before turning around so that he was between her and the droves of Heartless that were nearly upon them. "This'll slow them down." He slammed his fist into the ground and a great wall of purple flame erupted from the cracks in the earth, rising up at least a hundred feet into the sky cutting the Heartless off completely. The explosive force of the spell destroyed several Demon Tides and caused the remains of a barely standing building to crumble into rubble. Waves of hot air rushed by him and Tinarah. "Keep moving. It isn't too far now." He ordered, turning back around to take the lead once more. As he led Tinarah through torn up pathways she might have noticed some familiarity in the area. The reached a winding lone road that looked to be in better condition than the rest of the area. A minute later they could see light up ahead. Tall grass walls that surrounded a large estate and a gated entrance were what they found at the path's end. Beyond was a mansion, the only source of light in the area. Eventide's mansion.
Glen claimed two in the post above, I just hadn't gotten on my computer to edit it yet, sorry.
Welcome to the January KHV Chorus! This month we will be singing Be Prepared from the Lion King. For those of you who are unfamiliar how KHVC works, all you need to do is select one of the numbers listed below, and sing all lines with that number. When you are done recording a version without the instrumental background you can send it to me, and I will do the rest. I request that you sing to the instrumental instead of the original, as sometimes instrumentals timing is a bit off. You will have until January 14th to claim your lines and until January 21st to get them in! Happy singing! Kiara did her best to stand tall as Finley towered over her. She felt small and uncomfortable, but tried to keep that off her face as she scowled back at Finley. "Just watch me." She retorted as he told her that she couldn't go challenging people in the middle of a battle plan. Kiara crossed her arms and shifted her weight looking up at Finley. "I didn't challenge you to a duel to delay things, simply to get the point across, now lets go." She finished. Finley had decided that if they were going to do this anyone who wanted to should just follow him, and Kiara was okay with that. As she went to follow out the door Melus spoke up questioning how they would deal with stealth, calling her out for not being stealthy. Kiara shrugged as she turned back for a moment. "As long as you hit faster and harder than them, you should be fine. Just stay back and I will handle that part." She insisted before turning and following after Finley mentally preparing herself for what they would likely face ahead.
Everette rolled his eyes as at Sam as he complained about Yukyo stealing his breakfast. For one of the most meticulous organized guild members, Samuel was certainly weird sometimes. It got a bit of a chuckle from Everette either way, and at least it was now an excuse to get Sam out of the medical room and actually socializing. Plus he even admitted to not eating properly. Everette huffed a sigh. "You really need to take better care of yourself if you are going to be taking care of others. Can't have you passing out when doing a healing because you didn't eat enough." The boy pointed out as he lead them into the mess hall. The mess hall was filled with most of the members, many sitting around chatting over food, some looking at the job board. Everette glanced up to the second floor where S-class missions were usually posted, though there were none to be had that day. "I don't know, maybe I will just have to stick around and bug you today with whatever you decide to do. Or maybe I will do a simple mission just for the fun of it. We will have to see. I don't want to take the well paying jobs from the members who could use the extra money to pay rent this month." Being S-class came with perks, he often got paid a lot for his quests, so had some extra money sitting around when he needed it, he could afford to skip out on missions now and then. Giving a quick wave to Midarah as he passed, Everette moved to filling his second plate with breakfast and grabbing a coffee. He then found a seat at an empty table, hoping Sam would join him. It would be good for him to sit out here every once and a while. While Everette understand it was noisy and distracting, sometimes good conversations came out of being available for people. On top of that between Sam and himself they had been a part of the guild for a lot longer than most, meaning they should also be there for anyone with questions when Midarah got busy. After all he couldn't expect their guild master to do everything herself. Finishing her lesson with Lakoda, the girl suggested they went to get breakfast. While it was a good idea, Thea barely started for the breakfast when she noticed that a cat-man ran through the guild hall and out the window. Thea knew who it was but she still giggled curious of what he was up to. Instead of going for breakfast she chased him to the window just in time for a bird to come in. "Don't be mean Yukyo, you will scare the birds!" Thea called out to him, assuming Yukyo just scared the bird so much it flew inside. Meanwhile Midarah was mentioning something about a new job posting. While Thea knew that she should look into taking a job so she could afford to buy a new dress, she was more curious about what Yukyo was doing. Sitting on the window sill herself she looked out a Yukyo. "So what are you doing today?" She asked him eyeing his cat ears, trying to resist the urge to reach out and touch them.
Apparently there was no more talking to be had. Nala didn't seem interested in bringing Aislinn back to help her talk to Simba. Meanwhile AJ thought it was better to outright ask why. Aislinn didn't want to write off the idea, but she was planning to talk to Simba with as little people around as possible. The conversation might lead there, but she didn't want to force it there if that was not where it was going. They just needed to talk, simply talk, that was it and maybe they would be able to get somewhere. However if everyone cornered Simba that also might not help. Unfortunately, in some ways, that did not happen since after a short discussion they all started to head to find Simba. Aislinn didn't think a group confrontation was going to go over well, but she would still need to try. As they got further out however Aislinn spotted someone else with Simba. "Who is that?" She whispered to the others before the sky turned a strange colour. Looking up she noticed a face forming in the clouds talking to Simba it seemed. Simba went chasing the cloud but as it disappeared he sat there staring. "I am going to try and talk to him, maybe it is best we don't crowd him though." Stepping forward Aislinn slowly approached Simba, praying he wouldn't turn around and eat her. "Hey... can we talk, I am a friend of Nala..." It was worth a try to talk Aislinn supposed.
Mora gave Cerdic back his keyblade and he shrugged. "Are you sure? I don't mind." He offered more wanting to keep the girl safe than anything else, but she seemed confident in their ability to protect her, more confident than he was at least. Either way there was no use arguing with the girl, even as she decided it was a great idea to run ahead on her own. Cerdic shook his head but allowed her to move forward since there was clearly no stopping this girl like he would have liked to. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, it was more that he didn't trust Ria, even if they hadn't seen them since entering this area that seemed to be safe so far. Mora soon returned with news of what she had found. That was followed by Daeni responding. Cerdic rolled his eyes at her, "You are the one crying. I don't think you are going to do much to keep me in line. Just stay back and stay safe if you follow us. As annoying as you can be, I would hate to see you die." Cerdic ruffled Daeni's hair before turning to Mora, taking a deep breath. "I guess there is no more running, we discussed this before and we need to go through with the decision that was made. Lets go and deal with this once and for all." Cerdic responded.
