Kathi was given the same list the rest of the maintenance shop was given for supplies, and she was fine with that. Being able to split up where people looked on the market was, for the most part, a decent strategy. Especially since some of these markets were pretty big and could take hours to sort through if it was just one group per department. But Kathi wasn't just interested in parts. Since most of the supplies for priority were fairly easy to obtain, Kathi had snuck herself some Everlasting knickknacks to see if she could get any cool alien stuff. Sure, people thought that some cultural stuff should be maintained, but she didn't really see the point in keeping dusty things forever. Maybe someone on another planet might collect it for art reasons. As Kathi walked off the ship, taking Jael's refresher course with a nod, she eventually got to the central room, and she noticed the man that was standing there with the missing arm and Kathi just kind of stared for a long moment at this guy. She looked left and right towards the other market rooms before stepping up towards what was essentially the market stall for this room and saying in trade common, "Um, excuse me. But, what exactly is this room for?" she had a feeling it was slave trade, she was hoping it wasn't slave trade.
The woman at the front looked between the two, since it was one after another that these requests came in. There were people just behind them looking a little confused over the scenario and the woman decided to play along and winked, "Ah, I see what's going on. Okay you two, follow me this way." and she led them up the stairs and towards the room again. She opened the room and tried pushing the two to go into the room. Once in the room with the bookshelf, the woman knocked on it gently and the bookcase opened. The darker skinned man was on the other side and looked at the two and the woman looked angry and whispered harshly, "Heng, I thought you said they would be spread out, not coming in at once. Don't you know how awkward this makes me look as a hostess. It doesn't help with security either." "I'm the one who said we shouldn't have come here at all, Genowefa. So keep me out of that." Heng looked over at the two and motioned for them to follow him saying, "Quickly, in front of me." when they both were inside, the bookcase was shut. Since the hallway behind the bookshelf was straight, Heng just had to tell Reitan and Maristela to keep walking. Once at the end of the hallway, it opened into a larger pocket with a door. Heng opened the door at this point and led them inside. The room looked pretty cozy, it was dressed as if someone lived here all year round. There was a fireplace, some very comfortable couches, a dining table that was covered in food, and there were a lot of bookshelves. The Vegh symbol was present inside the room, painted into a lot of the artwork. This was one of the Vegh safe houses. Most High Families had them in case a battle broke out or someone was in danger. Usually they were hidden in places that had intrinsic meanings to the family, it may have seemed odd to some that there was one randomly in the Fall Inn. "Make yourselves comfortable." Heng almost commanded before shutting the door behind them to head back up the hallway. In the room, the boy who'd gotten there earlier was there. He was silently praying to himself even after the other two were there. When he heard them get closer, he broke off the prayer and looked over at the two and said, "Hey there, I feel like I came a bit early since everyone seems to be pouring in now." he tilted his head and smiled, "My name's Masaccio. You can call me Kio though."

OOC Thread For over a thousand years, the Holy Tower of Lazophel kept its dominant space in the highest point of Tekal. Perhaps it became so common place, people did not look to it in the everyday, just assuming it was something as certain to be there as the sun in the daytime, and the four moons at night. The tower was not exactly gone, but the burnt outer sides were wrong. They did not belong in the grand scheme, and they were noticeable to the point where it was like a wound to some people. No answers had been given to anyone over just why the Tower was attacked. Only a few knew exactly what happened, the rest was shut to the world out of fear. If one’s eyes followed the tower downward towards the city, Lazophel was a marvel on its own. The high streets just by the tower were surrounded by advertisements and news pieces, highlighted on a seemingly holographic screen. People were crowding around the news ones, as some of those in the high streets may only ever be able to watch TV when out on the town. Hoping to hear some form of news on the tower fire, or perhaps to hear news on the engagement of Giada Maragos and Lucien Seibel ☯. Either way, the crowds were still there most of the day through, as the city never particularly shut down at night on the market side of things. The further down the path one would take, they could see the houses slowly turn from a high-tech style, slowly to simple houses and huts with not much special about them. Perhaps someone would have something out of place, or maybe a garden out front, but it was almost as if walking backwards through time. As the houses changed into older forms, nature also began to creep its own way into design. It was very subtle in Lazophel, if one were to enter the outer regions, houses may have been made entirely out of trees or covered in vines, but not here. The most one would get is a garden roof or grass everywhere in the lower folds. At the outer edges of Lazophel, an inn sat just at a cozy point across from a stable and just next to four travel supply shops. This well kempt and busy building was known to all who frequented as the Fall Inn. Nothing was particularly special about this inn, the owner: Vinnie Tarns might say otherwise. Perhaps mentioning several times how his bread bowls were the best in town, or that the mead was the cheapest for the quality. No one who went often was going to fight him on that because they were going to go no matter what. Inside the inn, were many a man having their post-work drink, as it was around 7pm and while high market hours may run later, most laborers preferred closing before nightfall. And it was winter, nightfall came much sooner than one would prefer. The bar was full of patrons, and all the rooms were booked. It was the perfect setting for a rather discreet meeting to take place, as the volume was loud enough for eavesdroppers to not listen, and quiet enough for the details to be given. The bell on the door of the Fall Inn rang as a young man, aged around 26, walked up to the front. There were customers waiting in line in front of him so he impatiently tapped his foot before choosing to look at a letter he had received. The letter did not detail exactly what the news was, but the seal of the Vegh was not faked. If someone managed to fake a high-clan inkan☯ it would be highly unprecedented and extremely illegal. He looked for the only detail that was asked of him, or anyone who received the letter: The man walked up to the front, and the woman waved her hand and said, “I’m sorry sir, all our rooms are booked.” And the boy quickly hid the letter away and smiled, “I already have a room booked: the one with the paneled bookshelf." The woman nodded and said, “Well then, come along this way.” The man was led upstairs to the rooms and brought to a larger room at the very end of a long hallway, the room was empty, but the bookshelf was there. The man looked confused but once the door was shut behind him, the woman walked up to the bookshelf and knocked on it gently, the bookshelf opened, clearly being an exit only door. A larger man, with darker skin and a long broadsword stood with his arms crossed and analyzed the person before saying, “Come this way.” And leading them inside. The bookshelf closed and the younger woman returned to her space at the entrance to the Fall Inn, waiting for others who came asking the same thing. If one wishes to read lore, each time a page is updated with a new lore section, the symbol: ☯ will be placed next to the text that has received a lore section. The Lore Section is located within the OOC thread.
This is the end.
Kaida saw Stratos down and she tried to use cure, but that didn't work and Kaida took an angry breath before shouting, "Why can't I use cure?!" she charged at Mizrabel and she swung hard at her. Feeling as though she was doing more damage, but realistically she was doing about the same. Since Kaida couldn't exactly do much more. But she was a little angry at the fight scenario. And she was sure others were too. Kaida did 27 damage.
The hit hurt, that was for sure. And Kaida was ready and willing to give her new keyblade an actual swing. Kaida ran up towards Mizrabel and gave a good ol' swing. For some reason, her general commands were not working, but she was able to get a hang of her keyblade. She hit a few times before dodging and hitting her from behind, then hitting her once more from the side before she backed off since, supposedly, others were jumping in. Kaida looked over at some of the chests and ended up running over to the one that happened to let Beuce out and she said, "Uh, why can't I open this one? Sorry whoever's in there, mine just won't let me?"
my laptop broke this summer and I had to either spend over the amount I payed for the laptop in parts, or buy a new one. now, a laptop is more of a "necessity" but if something breaks, you buy a new one or buy replacement parts. that's how it works if you want something so bad. also, 3ds aren't falling from favor yet, you're gonna have to pay a little more no matter what. if you want a cheap alternative, by a game boy color.
Out of celebration over 0.2, I wanted to color in a lineart today, and try adding shading not necessarily already done in the line art. It might look a bit awkward, but overall I really like how it turned out. Spoiler: Pretty Water Girl cnc always appreciated. original: x
Kaida was still not sure how exactly she was able to be crammed into a chest. She figured there was probably some cool thing Mizrabel had planned, like turning them into jewels or something. Ya know, it'd be kind of neat being able to say "oh yeah, I was turned into a diamond once" but instead, Kaida was locked in a chest. But she was freed rather quickly, which made the cramping a little less worse. Kaida got herself up and nodded and Aislinn going, "Thanks there." She then looked at the chest next to her. Now, she wanted to give one pain of a punch to Mizrabel, let her learn what the feel of a hunter scorned was, but she figured getting the person next to her out of the chest was probably a better strategy for now. So Kaida ran on over towards the chest and used her keyblade and kind of tapped the top of it and the chest opened up. Kaida held her hand out towards the fire haired girl and said, "Aaaand you're free~" Ignis was freed.
Jael still had all that paperwork to finish, especially in regards to the second half of the trade translations. However, despite that, Jael had to be off the ship. He really couldn't be on adventure for himself either, he had to be stationed in a spot near the group so he could be pulled over whenever they needed something translated. Basic words were known by both parties here, but every now and again an advanced sentence was needed and Jael had a job to do. He basically stayed by the doors before they unleashed the horde, remembering to give people quick refreshers like "remember oshleti means trade while rashe means coin. We don't have that much coin, so remember to ask for oshleti and don't get us stuck in a situation where we need an insane amount of rashe." or Jael's personal favorite, "avoid saying the word 'good' in English around the aliens. It sounds very close to the word gooud which is a derogatory slang towards those with a darker green color, since some of them used to be laborers/slaves." and he hoped to the heavens that no one here was refusing to use basic trade-speak. Otherwise he'd have to pull out the good ol' language bible and hope no one dug themselves a hole before he got there.
Kaida sighed a little in relief at seeing Hikaru summon out the keyblade. She noticed the design but before she could ask him if she could take a closer look, he made it disappear and a new girl spoke. Kaida didn't mind too much but she kind of wanted to look at the keyblade a little more. But she turned her attention to the girl, Xara as she was introduced. Kaida listened to Xara ask that and she said, "The whole... memories thing. That was the trial... wasn't it? I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be a trial. Ya know, to get these back." Kaida summoned out her keyblade, flipping it around a little before making it disappear.
Kaida listened to the questions rapid fire and had a moment where her head was spinning. She placed her hands on AJ's shoulders and said, "Breathe." she then let go and folded her hands and brought them to her face, taking a deep breath before unfolding her hands, "Intact because we all just had this trial type thing, it's hard to explain in one description but some of us failed it." Kaida shifted her hand to the right and said, "I don't know if there's danger inside the castle yet, but I'm not gonna lie to you and say no." Kaida's hand dropped and she rubbed the back of her head with her left hand, "I don't know about your home but... if you're here in the realm of darkness... something had to have happened... I'm sorry." Kaida put both her hands on her hips and said, "I don't know if there's anything in particular to help out with right this moment, but any help we can get is great. We're... not amazing well put together, others just got here too. If you want to help, you can. And hopefully we could all find out what happened to your home but... I don't know all the answers. But if you wanna keep with a group to feel safe with a team for now, you're welcome here." Kaida looked a bit overwhelmed answering all those questions. She took a deep breath to calm herself and then she looked over at Hikaru and she asked, "So, Hikaru, did you pass it? The test I mean?"
Kaida was glad to see Hikaru was alright, but the way he spoke just seemed odd. Like something was wrong. He didn't even say hello before he just kind of pointed at her. Maybe it was just an off point. Kaida nodded and looked at AJ and smiled, "Good to meet ya, AJ. Though, location isn't exactly ideal..." she then looked over at Hikaru and said, "You on the other hand, are you intact? You don't sound intact."
Kaida listened to Luna explain her brother, and his fate, or at least all she knew about it. Luna seemed quick to cheer herself up though, Kaida kind of admired that a lot. Though she was probably trying to keep her mind off of it because they just went through so much. She responded saying, "I'm sure you'll both see each other again. But for now... we should probably get out of the realm of darkness. Since we're still here... but I hope you seeing your memories was at least a little nice, and not a horrific experience... at least one that doesn't end like..." Kaida looked over at Karina on the floor with the cloak, "Well..."
PERFECTION.
Kaida let go of Luna's shoulder and smiled back saying, "My name's Kaida. I uh, I popped in when some of this group was trudging their way through Corona. I remember seeing you a couple times and um..." Kaida scratched the back of her head and looked confused, "I think Aux had mentioned you were a princess?" she wasn't quite sure if she remembered that one right. Especially since the blow Aux gave to her head left some of those memories more foggy than she would have liked.
After her discussion with Beuce, Kaida had just kind of been leaned up against the wall. She was relaxing just a tad but she kept looking over at the doors. She was very worried about Hikaru and she was hoping he would get out of there okay. When Kaida had noticed Hikaru fall back into the hallway, she had started to run towards them, but some stranger got there first and she would have kept going, but Kaida just happened to be standing right by Luna's door as Luna fell forward. She hadn't really met the girl, but she looked like she just went through one heck of a hard time. But she made it out, and Kaida decided to focus her attention on her and she got down on her knees next to Luna and placed a hand on her shoulder gently, "You're back! Are you alright though?"
Remember. It was all Joce's fault... #banamaury
