At first I didn't know whether to congratulate you both for your quick thinking or nag at you for your careless approach, but in the end he got out better and that wouldn't have been the case if you weren't there. Also, you were willing to help which is admirable in itself. So yeah, my nice side won. Congratulations!

I dunno. Telepathy?

She was aiming for the Guinness Book of World Records. Well, you'll need to cross the sea eventually because a bunch of products are imported. You'll have to reach other countries and continents, or re-organise your own.
And they are of course all geniuses who'll successfully cross an ocean on their first try. Seriously, in the Netherlands a girl was held back from going on a world trip by boat and becoming the youngest sailor ever. In the end even the girl herself was down-to-earth enough to admit that she should wait a little longer, even though she already had all the technical skills and some experience.
Hot damn! How come I didn't know export was so damn easy? Oh wait...It's not. I think you may have overlooked that a lot of the products you take for granted aren't even made or grown in the same continent as the one you buy them in.
Jeez, hope you'll sort things out soon, Sparkey. I wish you the best of luck with it. See you later; don't forget us!
Shades all the way.
Hello, boys and girls. I'm back and I'll be judging the poetry contest again from now on. Thanks for taking over, Cariad! This month's winner was Catch the Rain with her poem "Trick or Treat". It was deliciously creepy and had a powerful ending. Honorable mention for timexhasxgone who is a close second. For my return as host I'd like hold a special contest. This month's theme is "Short and Sweet". Write as much as you can in five lines or less. Sounds tricky? Try your best. See you next month!

Let's see...They'll have to use up what we have left while planning ahead, otherwise it'll be too late. For example, they have a vast supply of medicine but they'll have to be quick to figure out how to keep making those medicines. Which means they'll have to keep the factories running. Which means they suffer major unemployment due to a large chunk of the world population kicking the bucket. Which means they have to re-organise work very quickly. Which means they'll have to organise themselves. Which means I think we're screwed because these kids aren't fast, smart or decisive enough to do this on time. Which would mean an incredible reduction in humanity's life span.
I assume you mean this? And I still stick to this. Like childofturin and I already said, disproven opinions may have consequences for people other than yourself, especially when you're trying to convince others. Besides, why should they be "entitled" to every opinion? Freedom of speech? I think not; it's a fortress that's too oft withdrawn too but not entirely unassailable. Falsely accusing someone of a crime is a crime in itself, so "freedom of speech" is not as all-powerful as is often believed. So why should other denial of facts and/or spreading of false ones be any different? Because it doesn't harm anyone? I beg to differ. It's a hindrance to society as a whole, a minor one but still. Though I admit that it's a dangerous thing to tamper with. The line between what's already fact and what's still theory is at times a thin one indeed.
You know, it's never killed anyone not to have a girlfriend. Warning you beforehand that desperation is a major turn-off.
Yes it is and I suggest we all stop it or perhaps make another thread about it.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah that's not what the thread's about, kid. Try again.
