Been there once or twice. It was boring as hell. There are funny images there, sure, but they'll reach me one way or another without me having to live through all the bullshit.

PYP thread much? You'd have to bring one huge magnifying glass to find a bigger horn dog on this site. Or this planet.

This thread is not about the movie (there is a thread about that in Movie & Media) but rather about the Mayan prediction that the movie is based on.

Also, atheism just denounces the belief in a deity. It does not exclude belief in the paranormal entirely.

I think I see what you're getting at now...
Suppose someone has three cards face-down. One of these cards has an effect that activates when the card is destroyed (e.g. Dark Coffin). When someone would activate MST in a real-life duel it would be a matter of luck that he chooses that card that would activate upon its destruction. There are two other cards that could have been selected after all.
In this arena however, the opponent can simply choose to have that card targeted and destroyed to trigger its effect.
You meant something like this right?

    Tim Burton

I'm a fan. I discovered him through Edward Scissorhands and I still think of that one as a classic, but I like most of his other work too. He makes quality stuff.

I don't think that's a good idea to be honest.
Why wouldn't you just keep the choice open for duelists? The current system works: sometimes you play with it, sometimes you play without it.
You can demand your challengers to play without it for all I care but banning it from the arena is going a little too far for my taste.

Personally I would keep hand refill optional but I think every duelist should prove that they can play without it, though I can't think of a system to do that at the moment.

You can't play it 100% by the book anyway since this arena disables certain luck effects. You'll never be able to completely reconstruct a real-life duel here though I commend your attempt to try.

In a certain way yes but in another way they are "worse".
Take my duel with LilBueno for example. When you play without hand refill, the dominance over the duel is often decided in the first few turns. When you look at it like that, hand refill can be more exciting. Hand refill doesn't kill the need for a good strategy; you just have to think about other things.

Can't argue with that. It is a good system to test out combos imo though.

A word of advice: the words "epic", "fail" and "******" are part of an outdated internet slang that makes anyone who still uses it look like (s)he has just discovered the internet. Rumour has it that this effect increases when you use several of these words in one sentence.

@Monica: No worries. Usually you should include an image of a summoned card like Dark Paladin but I understand if you can't. I'll just look the cards up.

    -Draw Phase-
    6 cards in hand.
    -Standby Phase-
    Nothing.
    -Main Phase 1-
I play Heavy Storm. 5 cards in hand.

If that fails though, you"ll have to live with the fact that you could have saved a helluva lot of people if you could put yourself above being a goody two-shoes in that critical moment.
