The First Kingdom Hearts game chronologically was an unknown title called "The Legend of Zelda" A Hero named Link, traveled the lands when the worlds were still connected. With nothing but his sword, shield, and other gadgets, he wielded the master sword. A blade which could control Link's power. You see, Link collected many hearts on his journey. Eventually gaining so many hearts in a specific timeline, that he managed to ascend beyond his mortal coil and become the entity known as kingdom Hearts. He did this so that even if he failed to beat Ganon and the worlds would separate, he could still keep them within his reach. His master sword eventually transformed into the X-Blade, and Ganon reincarnated years later as Xehanort (Yellow eyes) When you begin Kingdom Hearts 1, you are given a choice to follow the path of the Warrior (Ganon) The path of the Mystic (Zelda) or the path of the Guardian (Link) as homage to Link's sacrifice and the tri-force. These three would later be the inspiration for the drive forms of Valor, Wisdom, and Master. Sora himself is thought of as "Wind Link" for his connection to people and destiny to be the one who will "Open the door." It is often thought that Crash Bandicoot was the first kingdom hearts game, but this is a misconception. While it's true that Aku Aku and Uka Uka were the driving forces of Light and Darkness, it wasn't until the Tetris wars that they chose their champions. From there it was "Ape Escape" onward to the 2002 release of the first Kingdom Hearts game.

Only three short feathered figures could be seen walking their way. "Senor Donald. Who you no smile? You are back in your home town yes?" The red rooster asked. "Claro. You come from such a lively little town," the green Parrot agreed. "And yet your smile. She is upside down!" "Si Donald! If we travel to this world and cannot leave it is a sure sign that you have some unresolved business here!" Panchito and Jose were happily trying to lift Donald's spirits as per usual, but Donald wouldn't have it. "I told you, I hate it here! Something bad always happens!" "Oh I do not believe you!" "It's true! The whole reason I left was to get as far away from this place as possible!" Donald stopped when he saw Ananta and Steel with a new group of people since their last meeting in the 'Kingdom of the Sun.' "Oh no, not you guys!" he said in lament. Confused, Panchito widened his eyes at the sight which Donald had seen. "Hey hey! It's our amigos that turned things around for us!" The rooster raced up to steel and shook his hand with both wings. "Como estas? COMO ESTAS?!" Jose also approached Ananta and pecked her hand out of respect. "We owe you guys a lot. It is ever so good to see you once more senorita! And with more friends?" Donald's bill remained open during the re-introductions. "What are you talking about?! All they did was stop us from killing a llama!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well done to the creator. Laughed at the Square Enix logo for some reason though.
The gameplay is actually just strictly turn based if it's going by the browser version. You have a very small deck of cards that shuffle and are dealt randomly during battle. Cards come in 3 types and have pictures of KH characters. Each card's abilities are basically flashy attack animations that deal X amount of damage. Though it can change with the mobile version, it's mostly just click here, click there. Not much strategy to it aside from enhancing cards and keyblades.
Well from the looks of the Unchained chi trailer, it does look like things will be turn based. Initiating the battle starts just by contacting a foe, like they did in Chain of Memories.
Reaching it's two year point, the Japanese browser game is still going strong. In celebration of it's anniversary, Nomura released a nice little piece of artwork that features Sora, Kairi, Roxas, and Namine in some colorful clothes swapping. Below lies the artwork for the last two years. For those still hoping to play the game, the mobile version, is well into development. It's E3 trailer can be viewed here.
Meanwhile at Central Haven... Seiza sat with his legs apart on his regular stool. One hand flat across the table, and the other used to support his temple, as he pressed his clenched fist against it in a fit of stress. "Bored already?" Aux questioned as he eyed him from the corner. Seiza's fist removed from it's place as he rubbed his forehead. "Bored, tired, I guess that's all the same to you guys, right?" "Do you need sustenance? I'll send Vanitas to fetch you a-" "You know, can we just cut the tough guy act for a minute?" His blunt remark caught the muscular wielder off guard. "I know what I have to do, I just don't WANT to. Aside from that, I'm missing key features that are meant to put this little pandora's box together. All I could finish was the stupid binding." He turned around from the table to face a portrait on the wall. "You really should've done this when the last librarian was around. Now THAT GUY knew everything. " The view is panned over to a distinguished painting of an elderly man with long white hair, a beard to match, and signs of old age clear across his face. He wore a bright robe, with a light blue tint. The kind you would find on most holy magicians. "You probably don't even feel anything for the guy though. I mean he's the one that found you abandoned here and all." Aux shot piercing eyes towards his vicinity. "I never claimed to be ungrateful." "Of course not. You just hide it... Quite poorly I might add." He crossed his arms and leaned back as he continued to guilt the man. "I've only known you for a few years now and maybe I don't know better, but I know you aren't one to use people. Not the ones you care about anyway... Kaida and Hikaru? You guys were closer than most friends could dream. And so for the sake of your life's search, you'd toss aside the friends you made and the new life you could live here for a more diabolical scheme. I'm sure it getting harder and harder to push away the only lights still in your life." Aux remained silent as took a moment's pause. "You're right. You really don't know anything." "Oh I dunno, I think there's some truth to it." Vanitas appeared into the room with a snarky tone. "Anyways, your shift's done. No-Brain wants to talk to you downstairs." Aux left his station and preceded to walk out and try to ignore Seiza's words. "Oh and one more thing... If you really want to be a big boy and embrace the darkness, then sooner or later," he stopped to snap fingers on both hands. "You'll have to turn out the lights." He gave a chortle as Seiza sneered in his direction. "Oh lighten up... And I hope you don't plan any of those mind games on me. I know where my place is... And I have no friends to speak of." Seiza shrugged his shoulders and continued work on crafting the pages. "Can't for the life of me, imagine why. Though I personally wouldn't want to befriend a lapdog anyhow." "I may be the more tolerant to be around, but I'd watch my words if I were you..." Seiza chuckled. "You're an evil dog alright... all dark and no light. More of a weakness than a strength really." Vanitas clenched his fist in the temptation of knocking out the men. But No Heart was carefully watching and delaying his plans could cost him dearly. All he could do is begrudgingly await an opening. Aux followed a cascade of stairs to a small room lit with candles. It appeared to be a shrine for the former librarian 'Kurt Russel.' A man who from the looks of things had passed away for sometime. On the bottom floor, Aux approached his master and fell to one knee. "What is thy bidding, my master?" No Heart approached him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "We located where the final piece to the book is... A place called DisneyTown. I trust you won't run into any obstacles..." Aux lifted his head and without hesitation, he replied. "Consider it done." A small gust of wind blew out two of the candles in the room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Timeless Group Hikaru looked around to see if there was sign of anything. "Well, now what?" he thought. He took another quick glance around until his eyes met with a lanky yellow-orange dog that was sniffing along the ground. "Wait... is that..." the appearance of the dog matched the resemblance of the dog that was captured in the 'Mad Doctor' short. "Pluto?" The dog's ears lifted at the mention of his name. Before calling out again, he wondered if the dog remembered them. Maybe there was some anomaly that prevented their interference from preventing the present day version from recalling those events they had just left from. He was going to call out again, but the dog's ears lifted in the direction of the castle and he fled towards it. "Hey, wait!" Pluto was already off and on his way to the castle. This dog was Mickey's closest friend from the looks of things in Timeless River.. Maybe he could lead them to mouse himself... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorcery Group "What did he destroy?!" Pete asked in shock. "Just look at all that damage he created!" Pete pointed to a small dent on an otherwise perfectly maintained fruit cart. "And as for this little runts crimes... Off the top of my head I can think of obstruction o' justice, domestic violence, and even burglary!" "The only thing I 'stole,' was YOUR job apparently. You keep fighting them away from the castle, but I'm the only one cleaning up the streets!" "Oh are yah now?... Well you just added impersonatin' an officer to yer list of offenses!" "My maxie?... a criminal?" Goofy's eyes began to water. "Were you unhappy son? Oh, I left you with such a happy lookin' babysitter, though!" He began to blubber as he hugged his son tightly. Max rubbed his forehead in disappointment. "Dad, that was a scarecrow... And aside from that, I've been doing fine! Just leave s I can continue doing what I've been doing!" he barked. As he yelled at his father, Soldier heartless ran in the background behind Pete towards the other parts of town. "See, there's more of them, I gotta go!" He pulled away from his father, only to be blocked by the Captain. "And just where do yah think you're going!
I'd settle for the one I can see... I'm sure the image is awesome though!

(26) Kel leveled up! (27) Pete stumbled back and forth, wobbling on his peg leg ans seeing nothing but stars circle his head. His beagle boys were defeated, and all three of his henchmen were down for the count. He could tell that he too was on the brink of passing out, but not before he got in that one final begrudging villain line. "I hate happy endings," he grunted, falling with a lard THUD, enough to chake the very boards of the stage for a second or two. With the bad guys defeated, Minnie and the musketeers walked back onto the stage. "Is it safe?" Donald worried. "C-careful you're majesty! They could still be a threat." Mickey pointed out. Goofy walked around Pete and poked him on the belly, before flinching immediately. His eyes widened to make sure they were defeated. "Nope. They're down for the count!" With a sigh of relief, Princess Minnie turned to the group. "You all fought commendably... I don't know how I'll be able to repay you!" Mickey took his musketeer hat and bowed with it. "Awe shucks princess, all in a musketeer's-" Before finishing his sentence, Mickey paused in realizing they were never really knights in the first place. "Err uhh, I mean... All in a janitor day's work, hehe." Minnie looked stunned. "Janitors? I no no no, that simply won't do. What I saw today was true Valor, Wisdom, and Mastery!" "Valor?" Donald asked. "Wisdom?" Goofy added. Princess Minnie cleared her throat and picked up Captain Pete's sword. "In gratitude for being so brave and saving us all, I hereby officially dub thee; Royal Musketeers! Thank you all!" She tapped th sword on Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and the rest of the party. While the trio of friends cheered, Mickey yelped out. "ALL FOR ONE!" "AND ONE FOR ALL!" "AND ONE FOR ALL!" Obtained the "All for One" Keyblade! Learned the "One for All" Limit! Recieved the "Musketeer Hat" Accessory! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sora's mom: Sora! Dinner's Ready! (Sora wakes up and runs to dinner. Hazy from sleep, his glazed expression attracts his mom's attention) Mom: What's wrong honey? Sora: ... Mom: Sora? Sora: ... I've been having... these weird thoughts lately...
Interesting aspect I like that they're adding is the empowerment of obtained keyblades. There are a lot of cool looking ones out there, but usually get tossed aside once a powerful successor is found. This way, you can power up your more favorable blades, while still empowering on others. I imagine they'll do something like what they did in Kingdom Hearts Chi, where there are synthesis recipes to increase the keyblade's power. Earlier keyblades would probably get easier recipes, so you'd get something like a "Kingdom Key +10." Baymax heals. Yes please.
I know it's been discussed in interviews, and Nomura's talked about the possibility of them returning. I think it would be neat if Sora got a drive form for the Disney party members he gets in each world. Like, in Land of Dragons if he tributed Mulan, he would enter "Dragon Form" and have a whole bunch of cool fire attacks and abilities.
"True enough," Hikaru commented to D'daear. "Key difference is how Mickey was never seen in this one." He looked to the mouse who seemed content with closure at the sight of the short film. "Mostall the memories we've seen so far have been Mickey's, but I haven't seen this guy anywhere around town." He blatantly recalled the named that appeared at the beginning of the short. "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit... Wonder where he is now..." Hikaru thought back to what the Phantom Blot said about legacies and being remembered. No one had seen or mentioned this rabbit, meaning he must've fled or to his greater fear; been forgotten. He looked down at mickey and smiled with a realization. Mickey had remembered. Mickey was the one who wanted to see this rabbit he seemed to idealize so and that notion was enough to reassure Hikaru that there was still hope for this world and it's denizens. "Hah! Thought you could me forever, eh?" Pete's voice blasted into ear shot as he marched along angrily and grabbed Mickey by the suspenders. "You're late for deckhand duty! You just added another 10 chores to yer list!" Mickey's expression turned to shock as it receded to a sad regret. "Don't you give me them sad eyes! Now git with you! I'll be back to deal with you later." He tossed Mickey smoothly into the air, allowing the mouse to land on his feet and scatter back to the docks. "That boat boy o' mine will be the death of me someday. If he didn't do such a good job, I'da fired him by now." He looked back to the group once Mickey was back out of sight. "Well a deal's a deal. Here's a little something for yer troubles." All players received the Monochrome Keyblade! ~MISSION COMPLETE!~ "Now if you'll excuse me, I have an employee to whip into shape." Pete informed as he marched off to the docks. Hikaru scratched the back of his head to think. "Well, didn't get everything we needed, but I guess we can head back now. If we hurry, we can get back before the portal expires." ------------------------------------------------------------ "Well ever since that there portal thing opened up and brought me back to good ol' home sweet home!" He introduced himself to the rest of the new faces and looked back to Kaida. "You really saw my Maxy Was he bein' a good boy!" Before she could answer, Max himself zoomed by on a skateboard being followed by a loud barking voice. "Get back here you good fer nothin' punk!!" It was Captain Pete, trailing and thumping as far as his stubby legs would allow. At the site of his soon, Goofy's face lit up and called out to him. "MAXI!E!" Looking back to the voice that called him, Max first saw the keyblading party, followed by the face of the last person he wanted to see. His heart stopped as he let loosed a blood curdling scream. Still oon his board, he couldn't see where he was going and crashed into the nearest town shop. Trudging behind the disaster, Pete was panting heavily. "Now I (pant) got you! (pant)" He slowly slummed his way to the wreckage and piced up the goof boy by his head. "I'll just add destruction of property to yer list of bad behavior and see what the KING has to say!" "Pete?" Goofy looked at the Captain and recognized some one he hadn't seen in a while. "Who wants to know?" The Captain looked to the group of people with Goofy. "Oh noi... not the other Goof!"
I always thought about having one of these, but I think I'd consider it more after KH3 releases and the Seeker of Darkness saga ends. Of course there could always be prediction and wishlist categories for the oncoming game, but I'd like to see the viewpoints and winners once the Xehanort arc ends. Though if it's more than just a one time thing, I'd probably back it. I actually discovered I'm kinda conflicted with this one.
Imagine being the magazine that confirmed it's confirmation. Would garner a lot of attention, so it doesn't surprise me too much. Seeing as how Nomura said there would be more worlds than that of KH2, I'm hoping it comes up to his original vision of about 20 or so.
Damn, Roy really DOES look like Xehanort. What a fun coincidence, hehe. Great to see they're incorporating Disney producers to keep the Disney side of things light and fun. Part of me hopes his other works in Hunchback, Treasure Planet and Big Hero 6 also make an appearance!
Before I saw the tower, I thought the Tangled world was going to be "The Emperor's new groove." Something about all the mountains and plains. But there's a lot I love about this trailer, introducing a refurbished cutscene, shnazzy new gameplay, and Sora's new costume is pretty nice I must say. Also enjoy how much more room the character has to move around now. I wasn't a big fan of KH3D, but I did like how they carried over using the environment as an advantage.
*Places sheet over* Call it...
I love the updates they did from the browser version! Looks like you'll be able to get more down and being able to understand it is of course the best thing to me right now. Also really looking forward to seeing the lore behind Xehanort's keyblade and the mysterious foretellers!
I hope it's at least easy to navigate and operate with. The few experiences I've had with twitch have proven a bit troublesome.
