Gabriel danced easily with his new partner. "You got anybody special in your life?" Dancing made Gabriel's tongue loose.
Devlin laughed gently, "Devlin, nice to meet'cha Heath." he stuck out his hand and touched the dragon tatto on his neck.
Devlin was by the majority of the dark angels already, "So...this might get awkward." Eden sighed and moved away from Devlin and his mournful frown.
Gabriel twirled her and grinned, "I think she'll be fine. Sorcha doesn't get jealous often." Sorcha gave a dainty wave to Gabriel and the woman he was dancing with. She didn't recognize most of her classmates. She only knew Toby from something vauge Gabriel had told her.
Devlin smiled and nudged Lucas, "I think you have an admirer. Why don'cha go and say hey." He caught Eden's eye and lost his smile. He frowned at her admiring of his wings. Pulling them tightly closed he tossed an arm around Lucas' shoulders.
Cara stood, "I'll be back around noon. Don't eat without me." She dashed out the door with Zalera hard on her heels.
Gabriel gave her a melting smile, "Gabriel. Care to dance? My wife doesn't much like dancing."
Eden smiled at Ashley, "Thanks...me too. I wonder where Devlin is..." she looked around and spotted him, "Oh!" Outside, Devlin reluctantly stretched his wings. Midnight black feathers spread across the sky from his back. They were pure black, no inturruptions of any other colour. He sighed and flapped them once.
Gabriel tried to catch Eliza's wrist as she moved through the dancing people and his hand when right though her, "Whoops, hehe, looks like I've picked the wrong dance partner!"
Devlin nodded, watching Eden slip into her coat and stretch her shimmering white wings. He slid on his coat but firmly kept his wings closed.
Gabriel mingled with the people on the dance floor. He'd drank at least seventeen cups of alcohol and still his mind was sharp. Sorcha sighed and watched him dance. He moved like water no matter what he did. He was damn sexy and she couldn't stay mad at him. Sipping a cup of who knows what, she felt a warmth inside her.
Sorcha's thoughts wandered away from everyone back to her late husband. Gabriel had fallen and she not long after him. When he'd died, he left her with Devlin and she'd grown bitter. Her sulferic green eyes glowed and a soft rain started to fall outside.
Xenree flinched, "You could say that, I suppose. Though I haven't done anything terrible just yet." She refused to smile at her words. Xenree opened a dark corridor, "You saw what I did with that boy. His darkness was far too...weak I guess is the word I'm looking for. I don't like fighting darkness with darkness, but it was a good excercise. C'mon now Mage, if you still want to come with me the corridor will be open." She disappeared through the dark portal and Mickey gave Mage a saddened look. "She's a Nobody. All Nobodies are bad people. You can't follow her into the darkness."
Sorcha could feel someone poking around in her mind and glared at L'arc. She moved closer to him, her vicious beauty intimidated most males, "You'd best watch what you say, boy. Lest you suddenly cease to exist because of your words."
Devlin shook his head, "Never mind that. Y'know, she used to be nice...before my father died. Then everything went to hell...I'd say literally but I'm still on earth aren't I?" Sorcha gripped the edge of her dress in frustration, none of them understood what it was like to be her. She could feel Eliza's dislike of her, it sent a warm shiver through her. The rage Devlin displayed when she mentioned his father was impressive and would become his greatest asset in a fight when taught to harness that power.
Cara frowned at him, "She'll figure it out when she's on her death bed and you're fine. Even after then, your kids will ask questions. It's the same with Zalera, right?" She addressed him and he suddenly stood by her, "...No...I never had to watch a family die...oh.." he finally got what she meant and his entire motionless body seemed to droop, "..Yes...I never liked watching you die over and over again...it hurts me too when Orphan kills you...and...I miss you while you're being reborn..."
Sorcha's limo pulled to a stop in the parking lot. Gabriel jumped out like a cat and offered her his hand, "My lady?" Ignoring him, she stood out of the car. Her old fashioned dress brushing against him. Gabriel smiled charmingly, "So, any friends here at school you want to visit?"
Devlin sat back down and sighed, "You see that's what me and my mother are like. Imagine that in a classroom without the other adults..." He shivered, remembering the reason he often left home for other places.
Zane groaned, "Yeah great, dark spaces." He followed her inside, glancing at the cobwebed walls with distaste. His mood was ruined from the morning and he followed her down the corridor in silence.
Zane sighed, "More dead people. Great. Well, lead the way. I am yours to command this afternoon." OOC: Have to go to sleep now
