Zane stepped back into the shadows, thankful for his dark gray clothes. His hidden blade slid out as he waited for someone to step out. He hadn't expected this turn of events and he was eager to kill someone after taking Ryku's hits.
Xenree snarled at the creatures and lifted her Keyblade Dark Void toward Shadow Star, "What is the meaning of this!"
Gabriel's dance continued, "Ah, a studying mother." He fell silent in thought.
Zane touched the gate lightly, "Hmm, you have a point." he looked around cautiously, his paranoia kicking in, "You know, this is the perfect place for an ambush. One way out with our backs to a locked gate." He added in a dire tone, "No one to hear our screams."
Gabriel laughed, he thought her casual question was funny, "Yes, I work for a large corporation where we make FBI styled gagets and gizmoes." He knew he didn't look the scientist/inventor type with his clothes he wore now but he tried to take a measure of serenity into the workplace. "What of you? A mother without a husband, surely a job must be too much for you."
Xenree frowned, "O-kay..." She stood, "Time to look for those hearts." she headed further up the mountain. Xone stood off in the distance and smiled when Mage lied to keep his heart in her pocket. He waved slightly before disappearing into darkness.
Xenree sighed, "I don't know what you are. Perhaps something along our journey will help you remember something." Finally she motioned to Mage's pocket, "What have you got there?"
Xenree frowned, "I don't know. Honestly, I don't. The fact that the light hurts you and you can't remember your name, leads me to believe you could be a Nobody like me." She dismissed Mage's hand over her pocket as strange, "What made you start thinking about what you are? It doesn't matter what we are, as long as we have a goal in mind." Xone sighed as he left the palace. The Emperor had listened to his words and now his job here was done. He wondered briefly if Mage had made it to Xenree, but wrote it off as she had. She was tougher than she led on to believe.
Gabriel frowned, "Hm, could it have just been my imagination?" His gray eyes softened, "It couldn't have been of great importance."
Xenree sighed at the small bit of heat, "H-how did you find me? I thought you didn't want to follow me into ruin anymore." Xone stood before the Emperor with an easy grin, "I do wish I hadn't had to have hurt all those guards but...it was your order." The emperor stayed seated and glared at him"What do you want?" Xone knelt respectfully on one knee, "A woman dressed in black will come here, she'll take any pure heart she can get her hands on. Her strength is much greater than that of the guards' I witnessed. When she leaves, having found what she is looking for, if it's here, others will come later on. A group of misfits that walk in the light. They deserve your hospitality." He continued to explain.
The back of Gabriel's neck itched. He stopped dancing and looked around, "You get the feeling of being watched?" His gray eyes flitted about calmly. Sorcha was starting to doze off. Without Gabriel's nonsense chatter in her ear or anything amusing to keep her awake, the exhaustion from having her son caught up to her.
Devlin groaned as he noticed the bench over Maya and Ashley, "Not again..." Eden looked up, this had all started when that boy flew up. She flapped her delicate wings but Devlin grabbed her wrist, holding his head in pain.
Xenree jerked upright from the snow, "Mage...?" Xone headed toward the palace, grinning at the guards as he walked past. Their swords locked in front of him, "Halt! You can't go any further. The palace is off limits to civilians." Xone sighed, "Oh?" he teleported a short ways past the guards and intot the courtyard, "I'm no civilian, so I think I can go on ahead."
Gabriel cast a glance around, "Gabranth. It's an old name but I figure Sorcha will want another child so we'll give the name thing another shot with that one." OOC: I just realized Devlin can't be alive if April is a little kid.
Devlin groaned in pain, "Nah, I think I'm okay. Why would a bench just try to pummel you anyway?" Eden sat next to him on the ground, "Devlin! Are you stupid or something, you could've been hurt!" She hugged him tightly.
OOC: Aw, well okay, yeah I hope so too. BIC: Xone had started walking away, toward the palace when he heard Mage, "A dot? What do you..." he trailed off as he noticed it too, "Hmm, I'd say that would be Xenree. I knew she was here. You go up to her while I hand out a warning that shouldn't be necessary."
Devlin had turned to smile and comment when he noticed the bench flying at Lucas. "Look out!" He shoved him to the ground and took the full blow of the bench as it struck his back. He fell to the ground with a painful thump. Eden bit her lip as Nick soared out of sight. As the bench hit Devlin she felt his pain like her own and flew over to him, "Devlin!"
Gabriel's eyes changed back to gray and a sad look covered his face as he mumbled quietly, "I do." He continued to dance with her and forced his smile to return, "So, what's your lovely little girl's name?"
Xone was glad he was a patient Nobody, "It's called snow. It's frozen water." He headed toward the palace instead of the mountain, "Yes, fair warning of Xenree and those to come."
Eden smiled, "That's all I ask." She fluttered back to give him room.
