Xenree stood, she felt deep in her subconsciousness that someone she knew was here. She'd have to hurry, "Mage...I know you're tired and honestly, I'm beat, but we have to...keep going on." The place Mage had dragged her was a small shop. The owner was a short little man. "Oh, no no no no, you can't bring your kind in here. Unless...you're paying customers?" his beady eyes glittered greedily. Xenree held her arm which throbbed, "We don't have time...to deal with you."
Devlin snarled playfully, "Not even close. Really? Warming up? Man I thought that's all you had." OOC: Got to go.
He nodded in silence and continued walking until he felt his powers kick in again. His awarness of the forest increased.
Eden screamed as fire spread across the walls, the sprinklers went off but seemed to have no effect on the hot burning flames. Devlin grinned, "You got it. Nothing's going to get broken, but your pride." The fire spread faster, sizzling slightly from the sprinklers. "It's all good."
Gabe stuck his tongue out at Maddie, "Well well, look who's assigned herself my psych. Thanks for the evaluation. Now would you not rub your obvious smartness in my face?"
Devlin's hands lit on fire and he snapped his fingers and the fire spread to the walls and floor, "Ready? Set? GO!" Fire erupted from his hands as he touched them to he wall and it spread quickly around the room.
Alec fell silent and opened his book, which was actually a sketch book/journal of his time. "It's been a while since I've been compelled by Vincent to help him negotiate with another vampire."
Devlin grinned evily, "Now that, my friend is a plan. I'll bet you one drink, that fire can touch more people in this room faster than anything you can do."
Alec couldn't help himself, "Lucky. My parents were what they are when the had me. Mom was always the kinder of the werewolves I've met. That's why...they killed her. Father considers me a useful tool at best to his side."
Devlin laughed, harder than necessary but his mind was foggy from the booze. He suddenly became serious, "So, what can we do to make this party, a party."
Gabe grinned like all was right in the world, "My dad suggests the men in my family can handle it. A doc wouldn't understand, since we're like, not normal." He sheathed his sword, "So, this is...math class? Not really my best subject."
Alec didn't want to bring it up but his mouth moved faster than his brain at the moment, "So Innes, your parents were human once?"
Devlin snorted, "Didn't know the dude. I'm pretty sure he wasn't important if he didn't have the courtisy to stay alive until I could form a decent memory of the guy." He glanced back at Eden and the girls, "If they bust us, I'm gonna be so pissed." He pulled on them with his arms still around their necks, "You guys, are a lot funner than my old friends at normal school."
Gabe rubbed his cheek, "I never get enough sleep, ma'am. Nightmares, too vivid. It's like...I'm really there, again."
He dug in his pocket and pulled out a silver flask, "You guys ever try scotch? Some good stuff." His mood died slightly, "You got a party when you turned 7? My dad died when I was 7. Not a good day. But...I discovered the magical healing powers of alcohol. Shhh, don't tell Eden, she thinks I'm a good student." He mock whispered and started to laugh. Eden glowered at Devlin's back, "Is he serious? He's going to start the school year off drinking? I've honestly never seen this side of him before."
Alec picked up his large book and walked back toward the forest, "I can't believe I let that idiot provoke me again."
Devlin grinned, "Nice." he grabbed the bottle and took a quick shot. The liquid burned down his throat but he grinned at them, "Someone should get this party started." Eden scowled, "Figures. He's been acting wierd since this dance started. Mumbling about it being lame or something and that he'd make it better. Not that I have a clue as to what that means."
Gabe blushed bright red, "Huh? Oh, right, school...sorry everybody." He rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed, "Uh, just a bad dream." Sitting back down he mumbled, "A really bad dream."
Eden wandered up to Felicia, "Have any of you seen Devlin? I can't find him." Devlin threw his arms around Heath and Nick, his breath reaking of strong alcohol, "Hey, guys...how's the party? Anybody else got somethin' to drink, or some crackers? I've got the munchies."
Alec rubbed his throat, "He's always been such a jerk. C'mon, we should get back. It's been too long since we've been home."
