Zane pulled Mya along by her hand, giving a small nod to the herald. Zee followed quickly, ignoring the protests of his date.
Zane blinked from his thoughts and snapped back to reality, "Huh? We...won? Oh," he smiled, "That's great!" His eyes focused on the Herald, "Then that means we get our chat with Franchesco." Zee fumed silently, "Does he care at all? His Uncle made it so clear...Mya's a bad influence on him. He's changed so much already. I don't think he gives a damn about killing the conspirators and the rest of the Templars. Only about getting Mya back to his room." His date gave him a worried pat, "Are you okay? I'm sure your friend cares about what you care about. He's just a little preoccupied, that's all. Zee, are you sure this thing isn't going to get anyone killed tonight?" He shook his head and pushed her away, following Zane and Mya if they moved.
Gabriel smiled with easy charm and pretended to be offended, "What about my power?" He felt a twinge of guilt that he could never truely explain his powers to anyone. The power to control the balance between light and darkness wasn't something easily explainable or substantial. It showed no form and gave no "light" as he called it. It was just an invisible force that he wielded. Sometimes, only focusing on light, bright flashes would occur and the same with darkness but only if he focused on one side.
Lightning watched Leo walk past her toward the dummies and rolled her eyes, "I never said I expected you to." She was being cold again and she knew it, but they'd never learn if she was friendly. She remembered back when people were afraid of l'Cie, thinking they were monsters and hostile. She sighed and stared at Akira, "Are you ready?" Light's intent was to spar for once with Akira, holding nothing back. Akira watched Leo in awe, he always spoke so freely with Lightning. She jumped a little as Light spoke and nodded quickly, pulling her gunblade from it's sheath. It extented to it's full length and Light did the same, unfolding it from a gun to it's blade form. "I-I won't lose this time!" She watched Lightning's lips curve into a slight smile and twirled her blade. It would be an even match since the women were equally matched in agility and strength. The only thing that would trump Akira would be Lightning's magic and her shooting aim.
Zane would've gone over to his friend, but Zee pulled his date into the crowd and Zane frowned after him, thinking, That was wierd. Could my Uncle really have said something that horrible to him to change how he sees even me? With his attention on Zee, he doubted he'd actually hear the results.
Here's what my mother says. "He will have a sex change before he hits puberty." lol I love my mom sometimes.
Gabriel's barrier around Cory held him fast. Gabe wrapped his arms around April, keeping her upright, "April...you don't look so good. You should sit down." He swung her up in his arms and held her there with an easy grin on his face.
Gabriel felt responsible for their sudden exertion of powers they didn't know much of. He took hold of Cory's shoulder, an invisible force of light and dark energy wrapping around him, holding him immobile, "That's enough April. Cory, you must realize you can't get angry over the smallest things." Gabe remained oblivious to the forces battling eachother in the room, he looked at April with concern, "Hey, you alright?"
Gabriel sighed, "You should. You're getting worked up over nothing. What? Can't swim, Cory?" He realized he shouldn't patronize students but being around Sorcha too much had fixed patronizing as a part of him.
Gabriel laughed, "That's more like it!" He really shouldn't have enjoyed that so much but he did. "Tomorrow, child. Exams will be handed in tomorrow, now take a chill pill." He folded his wings back and settled against a wall, feeling at ease. Deep tremors went through the under-realm at Gabriel's laugh and a small smile curved the lips of the dark man chained to the sky. More silver words hovered around him, giving off a more violent aura, "Gabriel Coran...you who hath chained thee to nothingness. Why must thee torment thy so...Such abandonment...so free....oh how I long to see the sky again..."
OOC:Kay. BIC: Zane gave her his most charming smile and spread that smile to everyone in the ballroom. Changing it into a smirk for Zee's benefit. His date certainly was beautiful but him and Mya had taken the spotlight. Zee glared at him and Zane wondered what was the matter with him, they had the same goal.
Gabriel lifted one boot and pushed on Cory, shoving him back into the water, "You wanna run that by me again? Just once more, for old times sake." He narrowed his eyes, song...a song was once required to summon his brother, though why that'd come to mind, escaped him. He felt along his tie to his brother and felt him still in purgatory, bound by the chains of his own doing.
Zane smiled slightly, adoringly. Other girls faultered in their dances to stop and watch that smile spread across his face. They'd neve been smiled at like that. He moved like water and even Zee's date caught her eyes on him. She didn't faulter, her step was in time with Zee and Zane closed his eyes briefly to ignore them. He pulled Mya closer, adding more spins into their dance and a few lifts.
He suppressed his smile and bowed low to her and swept her away in a dance that was sure to catch everyone's eye. It was both sensual and magestic. Flowing, never stopping, almost like breathing.
Oh don't worry little children, we all have our bad days...but shut up and sit down or I'll really show you a bad day! OMG that's what I wanted to say all day to my math class. I'm glad I can get that outta my system.
Team Nobodies. It is in my name after all. :D
Zane shook his head, "Oh brother..." his eyes lit up with a determined gleam, "Though a private chat would be eventful if we won." He spun her into his embrace and smiled, "I do believe we will be chatting with young Lord Franchesco soon enough, my dear." Zane spotted Zee off to the side with a young lass he's never seen before. Her fair face wasn't that of an assassin's. A girl from town maybe? He shook his head, he'd be getting close to Franchesco if he had to murder Zee so to speak in this dance competition.
Pfft, you are so wierd. Well I might have to leave for a while, mom's getting b!tchy and wants me to go to bed or she'll take my computer again.
Akira spun around and lightly punched Leo in the shoulder, "Shhh, she'll hear you. Plus, I don't think I'd learn much from Snow. Light is just....so..." she turned to watch Lightning set fire to a practice dummy with her magic. The swift way she flicked her fingers, and the calm on her face as she did so made Akira wish she could do the same. "Light teaches me just fine." Lightning listened to the two talk and turned on her heel, placing a hand on her hip, "You two going to stand there and talk or come get in a few extra hours of training?" She disliked it when the apprentices were slacking, and not training was slacking. Like Snow was probably doing. Her pale blue eyes pierced them with a cold stare as she frowned at them.
Why'd your scrpt get so large. I can read fine print you know. If I didnt' know better, I'd say you're the stalker. How did you know I can't...
