Zain took Cara to the lake and sat with her and nervously played Yuki's song for her. Cara sighed, "You wrote that for someone. I can tell, it's in the way you play it. Zain..." He sat up and stopped playing, paying attention to her, "Do you think...someone like me could ever have a boyfriend as sweet as you?" He smiled, "You can be my girlfriend if you want. I'm not big on girlfriends and the only feeling I've ever had for a girl was gratatude towards my sister. I suppose if you wanted..." She leaned over and kissed his cheek, ceasing his words.
Xemnas barely awknowledged Raoxthu, "Poor Xenree, no, I never lied to anyone. I only withheld the truth to protect you all. Raoxthu, you must understand. How would you have felt if I'd told you right away that Kingdom Hearts may not give us hearts and even after you became loyal to me, if I'd have told you that Renee would have to be sacrificed to create our Kingdom Hearts. We needed you, we needed Xenree, but now..." Xenree felt tears course down her cheeks, "Now you don't need anyone! I won't do anything for you! You stay away from me!" She summoned Dark Void and her dark keyblade to protect her and rose back close to Kingdom Hearts. Hovering high in the air in it's light. "I'll never forgive you! I hate you, and everyone left in this pathetic world!" Roxas and Xion winced, "Xenree! No, please let us help you!" She shrieked down at them, "NO ONE CAN HELP ME!" "Roxas, I think her mind is set. We have to knock her out, to get Kairi and Renee's hearts back." Little Xenree touched her black blood on her face and sniffed, "What should I do? Mama's in pain and I can't help her. She needs me but I'm afraid to leave the darkness." Xone warped out beside Raoxthu, "Xemnas, back off. Leave Xenree alone. Give her space to cool off or your Kingdom Hearts, if you want to call it that, will be lost to you forever."
Lightning watched Leo's reaction to Akira. Her affection for the boy would go unrequited. Sighing she brushed back her hair and adjusted her gloves, "Come on Snow. We'd better get a move on before everyone gets nervous and stupid." She felt nervous herself, having only fought one Crystal l'Cie before. Raines was tough enough and now fighting another one after such a long time. Light held the door open and silently glared at everyone with her pale blue eyes, "Come on, there's nothing worse than a nervous soldier." Akira watched everyone sadly. Her friends...at least some of them were her friends...she'd be leaving most of them behind to follow Lightning to what she hoped was the beginning of her destiny. She followed Lightning out the door, glancing at Grey and Mya. They seemed nice, but you could never tell with some people. Keeping to herself she waited.
He smiled and kissed her fingers, "Thank you. It's pretty brutal what we have to do and I know Zane's only doing what he thinks is best, but I'm not as cut out to be an assassin as he thinks. My parents were nobility. Never worked a real day in their lives and neither did I. Until I learned the Creed and it sounded better than being lazy for my entire life, finding a girl raised as I was and going through the motions of courting her." Touching Sasha's face he smiled and touched his forehead to hers, "I wouldn't give up this life for any other easier one."
Xenree bit her tongue as the pain suddenly stopped. Silent words ran through her head, Forgive us...testing was needed, but we've decided you are worthy of our power. Kingdom Hearts will abide by your wishes. Xenree dropped from the sky and found herself walking toward the white doors. Pushing them open her wings unfurled from her back and she hovered in the light of Kingdom Hearts. "XEMNAS! You lied to me! You said you needed me! LIAR!" she screamed at him. His words echoing in her head. Xemnas gritted his teeth and looked up when Xenree started to shout. He stared at the light and her. "No...I didn't lie to you. It was a precaution. Xenree..." Roxas, Xion, and the King ran with everyone up the stairs to the top. They came through a large door to a round platform and stopped, gazing at Xenree's new dark radiance that shone from her like Kingdom Hearts' light. "We're too late." "She's changed."
Young Xenree held onto Hestia, "Bring me back to Mama. She'll make everything *hicup* better." She replied, the image of her mother in her head being the older Xenree. Xenree heard Mage's cries for her over the pain Kingdom Hearts was inflicting. "M-mage?!" Anything else she would've said was cut off by her screams. Gray tendrils wrapped around her wrists and held her suspended in air as Kingdom Hearts continued to test her body and mind. Larxene was hit by the Blizzaga spell by chance and sent her sprawling on the floor. She stood, panting and bleeding. "N-no...how could I lose...to such a loser!? This can't be!" her body started to fade, "I think I'm...fading? NO! This can't...be happening! Not aga-" her words cut off as she faded away. Xemnas summoned Malice and sliced off the tendons again like he'd done before. "You. Filthy creature! Just die already." he was loosing his patience with the other offspring.
"I do see it that way." He rolled onto his side and winced from the bruise. "I guess I'll have to tell Zane to take it easy on me for a while. I hope he listens. Wouldn't want anymore bruises." Zane had hit the same shoulder repeatedly with nearly all his strength during practice yesterday. If he continued his violence, Zee could end up in the hospital with his arm messed up.
Zain laughed and pulled the girl down the street, "She's a good sister. You have a sister too, right, Cara?" Cara nodded, "Lesa. She's...alright when she's not being protective. Zain, where are we going?" "A place that's special to me." he'd snatched his guitar from the house and played for her as they walked, singing the lyrics to Running Away by Hoohastank.
"Morning? Hmm, I hadn't noticed. Your beauty shines brighter than the sun." he brushed her hair from her face, "Especially when you smile."
He hugged Sasha and kissed her shoulder.
Zain shrugged, "Okay....should I be worried? About this guy I mean." His friend shifted from foot to foot, "She looks happy, Zain, you should you want to involve yourself?" He pulled the girl to his side and backed toward the door, "Okay, we'll talk when I get back."
He waved his hand in front of her face, "Hey, you okay? You seem...what's the word I'm looking for?" Zain's friend piped up, her sweet voice like wind chimes, "A little out of it?" Zain snapped his fingers, "That's it! Something happen after school?"
Zain led the girl to Yuki's house and stood with her in the kitchen, "Ah, Yuki, you don't mind if I'm not back for dinner, do you? I'm going out." He grabbed a few water bottles.
Zee opened his eyes and admired her as she slept. He was no longer anxious or nervous around her and appreciated the small moments with her. Like before she woke up in the mornings.
Zane kissed her back and flipped them over and got himself ready. *skip* Zee woke up, keeping his eyes closed, he prayed the past two days weren't a dream.
Luce lifted her head away from him and waited until he opened his eyes. Keeping her gray eyes on his face. "I am a girl after all. There's a lot of things no one knows about me, and I'd prefer to keep it that way." She stood and brushed off her knees. Walking back to the man she'd left and probed his head for soft spots where he could've been hurt. Her feminine side had leaked out for the day. She wished she had a bit more demon blood in her system to make carrying this guy easier. Thankful her hair was tied back, she opened the man's eye and checked him. He'd wake up soon.
Gabriel hadn't met the woman who'd spoken. "If something changes, I'll put in a personal favor. Trust me, anything that is altered, you need something from me, you got it. Now, let's begin. Does anybody know the damn significance of this moment?"
Zain sat on a wall, the girl in front of him blushed the longer he spoke to her. "I can show you around if you want. I don't get out much myself but..." She nervously tucked her hair behind her ear, "Um...okay."
Gabriel shook his head, "Why don't we just help her. It saves us worry that she'll come here without us and there are more of us than her. We can stop her if she tries to mess anything up. I mean, it's not like I can't remember where I was in this time period. I met Sorcha around here. She thought I was nobility," he chuckled and stared off into the distance.
He shrugged and smiled easily, "How should I know. I've no clue what she's looking for anyway. The least of my worries is her finding something horrible about her and Toby. My biggest worry is...messing up my own timeline."
