Darkness warred with Demyx's heart and Axel's will. They fought a loosing battle. Eventually Axel and Demyx stepped out of the dark pool, confused, and bloody. Saix groaned as he helped Axel regain his footing, "You fought the darkness. Idiot." Axel grimaced but didn't speak, he didn't like the new way he was feeling. Xigbar steadied Demyx and watched as his light blue eyes glanced around, stopping on each of them and resting on the floor, "It's happening again. All over again..." he mumbled.
He flinched and recovered barely in time, smiling easily as he turned around to look at her, "It's just a dream then. I'd never hurt you Yuki." It's what he thought and believed in, but he knew one day he'd become a shadow if Daieko didn't finish his cure.
Gabriel frowned in thought, "Hmm, going back to where we left them is a good start." He rubbed the back of his head and glanced behind him, looking for the retreating form of his brother. Drake was long gone.
Xigbar, Xaldin, Zexion, and Saix stepped out from the dark pool and glared furiously around, "Where are we? Where's Xem-" he realized that man wasn't the man he was looking for and it left him speechless. Xigbar, already stretching, laughed, "You make it sound as if Xemnas isn't around anymore Saix. We don't need 'em." Xaldin remained silent as Zexion sniffed, "The air around here smells strange. It's unfamiliar, the scent, that is what registers as our Master."
He half smiled and closed his eyes, "Of course. That's all it was." His embarrassment heated his face and shame cooled it. "What were you dreaming of? It obviously couldn't have been pleasant."
Kingdom Hearts' light flared around the tendons as if it were a living person trying to escape the tendons. It's dark side shone brighter with dominance of darkness over light. Enoch's smile grew until his face looked like it'd split in two. "The time has come!" he lifted his hands to the sky and a dark blue heart shaped moon shone through the dark clouds. "Welcome the power of the dark side of Kindom Hearts' light! Xenree, your darkness was meant to bring this here. It's why you are my daughter and not the Princess of Heart Renee!" His voice had gone loud and strained to be heard over the "dawning of new power" in the graveyard. Renee stared at the large heart shaped moon, "N-no, this can't be! Kingdom Hearts' darkness...I can't believe this!" Xone hadn't moved, his red eyes fixed on the ground instead of on the moon as if he were ashamed to look at it.
Zain jumped back, he'd forgotten his sunglasses were on his head again, "Uh, s-sorry." pulling them down with his clawed hand, he grimaced and stood, letting his shoulders drop, "Yuki...I understand if you're afraid of me. I'm sorry I'm so hideous now. It's selfish of me to wish for the days when everyone thought I was just really handsome. Lust...a simple emotion that I wish people would go back to feeling for me instead of fear." he turned away from her and stared at the wall.
Zain reached a hand over her to wake her and caught sight of his claws. "Ah!" closing his hand and hiding it behind his back, he nudged her with his other hand, slightly less clawed than the other, briefly wondering, What's happening to me? I thought Eden would be able to hide this.
Zain smiled at the normalicy of Yuki. "Hmm, how I'll miss these days. I'm so sorry Yuki. I promised to be your brother and now I'm failing you miserably." His red eyes probed her sleeping face after he'd taken the book from her face. "I wonder what you dream of." Daieko ran home like an excited little boy during christmas. Adding the blood to his potion, he grinned as it changed colors again, "Excellent... Soon it'll be ready and then...well, as if I'm going to give my finest creation to that abomination Zain. He's already beyond the point of return. Shem, I just can't help him anymore. Did you see his eyes behind those glasses? Pure red of the shadows themselves."
Renee tried to look away from the clouds as they darkened and she felt the presence of Kingdom Hearts' but a different energy than the Kingdom Hearts she knew. "What's happening?" Enoch smiled up at the dark clouds, "This barren land where Keyblade's of light and darkness were locked together in combat, gave birth to a darker side of the light we know. True, Kingdom Hearts is light, but what about the dark side of the moon? Not many have seen it. Not since the X-blade was almost forged long ago. You must understand Xenree, Neo, I did not want you to perish in the world of light without seeing what the true power of Twilight and Darkness can hold for you!" Xone remained perfectly still. Little did anyone know, but he'd been alive during the Keyblade War and when the X-blade was almost made. It frightened him at the time, but at the sight of the dark clouds and the pressure of the power around him, he felt at home.
Zain watched Daieko hurry back to him with a bottle of black liquid and a grin on his face. "And what the hell is that?" "Their blood silly. Jeez, don't you know your own blood when you see it?" Zain frowned and scowled at him, "That ain't my blood, buddy." Daieko shrugged and pushed him toward home, "Go home, we don't need you anymore. You did a wonderful job today." Zain was still shaking his head as he stepped into the house, "I didn't even kill anything. How can that be a job well done? Man, that guy get's creepier the more I see him. Dealing with shadows...stealing their blood...and sending Shemhazi after me. What have I gotten myself into."
Zero tilted his head, "Huh? Poke...gear? Nah, I'm no trainer myself. Just a guy lookin' for his dream." he scratched his head, "Ah, I know how that sounds. But hey, we'll find someone along the road that is a real trainer. I'd like to see a real battle up close. All the action and commands and the mid-battle bonding they do. It's a bit overwelming for me, but I'm sure someone could master it. Red did...yeah...I know others do it. Just, ah, not me."
Luce watched Scott leave and glared her icy gray eyes at Samael, "And we should believe you why? You're a demon, a filthy, no good, rotten, lying, demon. I don't trust or like demons in the slightest, no matter what anyone may say! He's trouble and I can smell it!" she snarled. Pulling her pistol from her right thigh, she touched it to Samael's forehead, "I don't like your attitude very much either." Luce refused to become buddy buddy with a demon, no matter how friendly he got. Though a piece of her brain focused solely on the fact that a demon standing before her had demon blood in him. The source of their powers. "Adam, what're we doing here?!" Her gray eyes focused on Samael as she addressed Adam. Her pistol never wavered from his forehead.
Daieko pulled a needle from his sleeve and stole small amounts of blood from the shadow he was after, with Zain as his protection and leverage against them, "Very good. You'll get your toxin and I'll get what I want, correct?" He'd never told them what he wanted and since they never had given him anything, they assumed he meant peace. Zain blinked lazily, it was getting late and Daieko was taking too long.
Enoch brought them back to the Keyblade Graveyard. Xone felt nervous around here, he spotted a keyblade that was oddly familiar to him, "Why are we here father?" "I want you to wield the keyblade again Neo. It's yours by birthright and I don't like that scythe. Trust me, your keyblade will be happy to have you back." Renee wanted to slap him, "Once a wielder has given up his keyblade, you cannot get it back. It's just not possible." Enoch flinched at the light and Xenree's darkness flew from her, clouding the sky, "Let the dark side of the moon shine through the light of day."
Gabriel smiled at her, "You don't have to do that anymore Eliza. We should be out of the woods now and we should find the others. Being split up this far in the past can't be good. We shouldn't linger any more than we have already."
Gabe closed his eyes as April burned the magnesium. Behind his eyes he could see how the next period would play out. Danny wasn't exactly swordsman material, but he was lean and that meant agility. Fighting against Gabriel would build the boy character and maybe if he could beat his father, drop Gabriel down a few pegs.
Zain growled as shadows drew near. "So do we just kill them all or is there one in particular you want dead?" Daieko hushed him and stepped toward the oncoming shadows, "Come now, let's be civil. Unless you want me to sic my new pet on you." The shadows hesitated and a hiss came from behind them. "Why Mr. Deathchild, I didn't know you had a new pet. What's this one's powers?" Zain looked from the shadows to Daieko and back, confused. "He's simply a much stronger version of you. Why, his Persona is quite the opposite of him. Now, down to buisness." Daieko and the shadows moved off into a corner of the cemetary and Zain sat on the gravestone, "What the hell? He's doing buisness with them?"
Zane growled and lightly nipped her chin, tugging on her clothes, "Hmm, clothing, useless scraps of cloth at times like these."
Haha, yeah. Dante's pretty awsome overall.
