The director for the 50th Anniversary episode was announced to be Nick Hurran, who directed The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex, Asylum of the Daleks (my personal favorite of the episodes he directed), and The Angels Take Manhattan. The special will be shot in 3D (as previously reported), and is rumored to be 90 minutes long. Source *sigh* I really wish the 50th anniversary episode would be released in select theaters in the U.S. Oh well..

I agree with you on Valentine's Day (mostly because I've never really done anything special for that day before). But I do spend good times with my parents on Mother's Day and Father's Day.

A few months ago, I would've agreed. But recently, I've been looking back at the games and noticing how fun they were. Don't let the anime speak for the franchise. The show hasn't been good for so many years now. And even if you still feel Pokemon is going downhill, or you're tired of it being too too much the same, at least give Pokemon X/Y a chance. I believe it'll be a huge jump for the franchise, and might hopefully win back some fans.
