Michael reached the main entrance to the castle but stopped. "I sense a dark power here, but it's not Jeraxan, so who, or what could it be..." Then it hit him. He recognized this energy he felt. It was there when Villgust was devastated. "The Black Monster...finally my chance for vengence." Michael drew his sword and searched the castle for his prey.
Michael stood on the balcony and played a few notes on his flute. A few minutes later, a hawk flew overhead and dropped a piece of parchment from it's beak. "Strange, I did not call for that hawk..." He read the message written on it. "Michael, come to the sacred forest spring in the forest northwest of Tredor, very urgent." Utaros, High elder of Sparil." "So, there are Keldon survivors in the area. Guess I will go see what Utaros wants that's so important." He wrote a note and slipped it under Kai's door. Michael thought she would still be mad about the incident earlier, but still would let her know where he was going. He hurried for Sparil.
Michael got worried about Kai. This time though, the door was unlocked. So he opened it and walked inside, and saw the reason why she didn't answer his knocks. She was in the middle of changing. Kai caught a glimpse of Michael. The two blushed, he turned away from her and she screamed. The next thing Michael knew, he was flying down the hall. "You pervert!" Kai yelled before she slammed the door. Michael got up and went to get an icepack for his head. "At least I know she is ok." he thought as he walked down the hall, holding the back of his head.
Michael went back to Kai's room. He knocked on the door. "Come on, Kai. It's time to get up." No response. "Did she drink too much or something? She is normally up earlier than this."
Michael took the rock with him to the balcony to try it out. He changed into a dragoon and focused his power through the rock fragment. He saw the wind very clearly gather and combine into what looked like ethereal daggers. "Interesting, so this is an augmentor fragment." Michael said as he dispelled the focused winds. "We must keep these from falling into our enemy's hands. But you only brought one, Cliff. Does Sophia have the rest of them?"
"If they are, I doubt we will find anymore pieces. My people shattered them long ago and threw most of the pieces into the Nexus."
"Let me see." Cliff handed Michael the piece aligned with wind. "Strange, when I hold this, I feel my power over wind growing stronger. These fragments must be part of the 'Elemental Augmenters'."
"Hey, Cliff. Did you find Sophia?"
"This is just too weird, I should have seen someone by now. I should go check on Kai." Michael sheathed his sword and went to Kai's room. He knocked on the door. No response. He tried again. Still no response. Michael tried to open the door now. It was locked. "Is she still asleep?" He said to himself as he put his ear to the door. He heard a faint snoring coming from the other side. "I guess she is. Guess I will leave her alone and check on the king." Michael went to the throne room. The king was sitting on the throne, talking to the minister. "Ok, the king is alright. The rest of the castle staff must be at their homes. Guess I will go back to practicing."
Michael sat down to eat breakfast. He only made some for himself, since no one else had come to eat. There was no point in making food that was not going to get eaten. He yawned. "I wonder where everyone else is..." He waited, but still nobody showed up. "Weird, did everyone leave? Oh well, guess I will practice my sword techniques while I wait." Michael went to the balcony to practice.
"Strange, where are the castle servants?" Michael thought as he waited for breakfast. He got tired of waiting, got up, and went into the kitchen. "Nobody's here...Oh well, guess it's time to get started on breakfast." he said to himself. Michael never really was comfortable with people waiting on him anyway. He began to cook.
Michael continued to play for a while, he stopped suddenly, hearing a growling sound. He laughed. "Guess I'm hungry. Might as well get some breakfast." He said to himself. He walked to the dining room and sat down.
OOC: you forgot wind BIC: Michael couldn't go back to sleep, no matter how hard he tried, so he changed back into his armor and went out on to the balcony and played 'Wind's Symphony' on his flute.
Michael awoke with a splitting headache. "Ow, what happened? And why am I on the floor?" He apparently rolled out of the bed while he was sleeping. The book he had been reading was laying in the floor with him. "Spent hours reading that, and I can't understand a thing it says. Must be written in the primevil Keldon tongue. I will need to have it translated, if I can find another keldon elder to do it." Michael got up and layed back down on the bed and went to sleep.
Michael tossed and turned in the bed, trying to fall asleep. It didn't work. "Maybe if I read a little, I can fall asleep." He thought to himself. He lit a candle and walked to the library. Looking through the books, he found one written in an ancient tongue. Michael recognized the script immediately. It was written in the native language of his race, the Keldon. "This is a book of sword techniques! But how did this get here?" He thought. Michael took the book with him and went back to his room to read. After a while though, he fell asleep with the book on his face. The candle burnt out shortly after.
"I hope they come back." Michael said before he let out a big yawn. "Well, I guess I should get some sleep. Good Night." OOC: Bye for now.
Michael gave Kai a kiss. "Me too."
Michael blushed when she said that. "You really mean it?"
Michael gazed into the night sky. "Look, a shooting star."
"True, but it would break Cliff's heart if she were to leave and never return. But she will probably get over it."
