"Lord Ottmar, you must ready your troops to defend the city!" "What's wrong, Michael? Are we being invaded?" "Worse. The force that approaches seeks to destroy everything. You must ensure that all not capable of fighting flee the city. My companions and I will try to keep it out of the city for as long as we can to buy you some time." "Understood. Do all that you can, old friend." Michael ran to the gates to join his companions.
"Yes, seems like I will have a chance to test out my new powers. We must try to keep the demon from entering the city, however, to keep innocent casulties to a minimum. I must go warn the king of what is coming. I will meet you at the gate."
OOC: The wings my character has are different than a dragoon's wings. Dragoons have dragon's wings, while the wings my charater has now are like an angel's wings. The idea of the Keldon comes from a fanfic I wrote long ago, which in the human language, according to the fanfic, means 'Fallen Angel'. BIC: Michael landed on the balcony of the castle. He summoned his sword. "I sense a dark energy here."
OOC: No offence taken, and sorry about that. When I get to writing, I get a little carried away, so sorry if I offended you.
Michael looked down at the ground as he flew. He saw Cliff and Sophia trying to follow him back to Tredor. "Well, I'm glad to see them back together again. Just hope Kai can forgive me..." He said to himself.
"Indeed...but i digress. I have to head back to Tredor. I will meet you there." "I wonder how good these wings actually are...Well, won't know unless I try them out." Michael thought Michael flew back to Tredor.
OOC: Sounds good, as we might end up fighting Aldon at some point. BIC: "I just came from there. It is kind of a holy land for my race. She probably ran there trying to get away from you, but I drove her off."
"So you encountered her too...no wonder she was at the village of Sparil."
"Did you find anything else here, besides the augmentor pieces?"
Michael reached where the voices were coming from. It was Cliff and Sophia. He dispelled his sword and approached them. "What are you guys doing here?" he asked
Michael wandered the forest. along the way, he heard voices He summoned his sword and approached cautiosly.
"If you have come to fight, you are out of luck. I have no desire to fight you now." Michael said to the dark dragoon. The dragoon then dissapeared into the shadows. Michael turned to reclaim his sword. As he pulled it from the stone, it faded away. "What happened?!" "Don't worry, young one. Just think of your sword in your hand, and it will be there." Michael did as the elder said. Out of nowhere, his sword appeared in his hand. "Thank you elder Utaros. Now I must be going. I have to rejoin my companions." "May the spirits protect you on your journey." Utaros said as michael left Sparil.
The dark dragoon came out of the shadows. "This spring is sacred to my people, so why are you here? Have you come for another battle, or are you here seeking forgivness?" Michael said as he streached his new wings.
Michael dispatched the illusion of his father easily. Others followed. His brother Edrick, Cliff and Sophia, even Kai. All tried to mess with his mind, but none acomplished their task. The light around the spring faded, and Michael awoke. He felt stronger, but it was his reflection in the spring that surprised him most. Michael discovered he now had a pair of feathery, jet-black wings. "It seems the trial was a success." The elder said. Michael sensed something in the shadows, a familiar energy pattern. "I know you are here, Dark Dragoon. You don't have to hide from me."
OOC:True, my character will probably show up on the scene later, just dealing with some more stuff with the remainder of his race. BIC: Michael entered the hut. "You have arrived, Michael. There is no time to waste." "Why have you summoned me here, Elder Utaros." "There is no time to explain. Quickly, you must come with me to the sacred spring." Michael followed the elder to the spring, unaware of why he is here. "You will now take the Trial of Enlightenment." The elder told Michael. "I thought the Trial was only for Full-blooded Keldon, I am only a Half-Breed." "I know, but you still have Keldon blood in your veins. You must unlock your hidden potential if you wish to save this world. Now quickly, you must place your sword in the rock in the center of the spring." Michael did as he was told, as he plunged the sword into the stone, he was surrounded by light, then all went black. He stood up on what seemed to be thin air, nothingness all around him. "There he is, my good-for-nothing Half-breed son." "Father?! Where are you?" Michael's father appeared before him. "You dissapoint me, son. You go into the world, and against the Keldon teachings, you associate with humans. You even fell in love with one. You are a failure. "What are you saying?! What about mother? You loved her, and she was human." As soon as you were born, I killed her myself. "Lies! You speak of teachings that have been abandoned centuries ago, and murdering your beloved wife?! You are not my father! He would never commit such atrocities." The figure laughed. "My, arent you the smart one. But it matters not. I will ensure that you never leave here alive!" The figure attacked Michael.
OOC: Cool, brings back memories. Have to dust off my copy of Legend of dragoon and play it again. Think Lloyd was using the Devine Dragoon Spirit on the second fight, but not sure. Believe the fight was in Death City Mayfil too, but need to go back and play again to be sure. BIC: Michael entered the forest where Sparil was located, but he got lost. As he walked along, he felt like he was being watched. Out of the darkness, an arrow came at him, barely missing him, and sticking in the tree behind him. Michael drew his sword, ready for battle, when out of the bushes, another Keldon warrior stood up, bow drawn and ready to fire. "Who are you?" the warrior said. "Elder Utaros sent for me. I am Michael, son of Alastor." The warriors lowered their weapons. "We have been expecting you Michael. Follow me." The two walked through the forest, and after some time, they reached Sparil. "The elder's hut is to the north. Best not to keep him waiting." Michael headed to the Elder's hut to see why he was summoned.
Michael's newly augmented power allowed him to move at the speed of sound. By the time his opponent attacked, she was assulting an afterimage. He yawned. "Too slow." He said as he delivered a quick chop to the back of his opponent's neck. Overworked, the augmentor crumbled into dust. "Should have held back on the amplification, but guess there is no use worring about it now." Michael wondered if he should finish this demon now or spare it's life. He found himself dragging the unconsious body of his enemy into the forest. "I suppose even you deserve mercy, even you showed my village none." He left his enemy there in the forest, as he went on his way to Sparil.
"What's the matter? Aren't you even going to fight back?"
Michael morphed into a dragoon and activated the augmentor fragment. He focused the winds in the hall into daggers as he did before and sent them to attack.
He saw his enemy round the corner. "So you are the one that slaughtered my village, and nearly drove my race to the brink of extinction. Why are you here? Have you not spilt enough blood, demon?!" Without warning, Michael swung his sword at his opponent.
