The two began to dance on the moonlit balcony. "I hope Sophia will be ok, she seemed awfully upset."
"And I for you. We should dance out here, the breeze feels nice."
:The stars look beautiful tonight, but not as beautiful as you, my beloved."
"It used to belong to my mother. I figured it would look good on you. Besides, the ring wasn't doing me any good in my pack."
"I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this or not, but now my mind's made up. Here, I want you to have this." He placed his mother's ring on Kai's finger.
"Not right now, Kai. Could you come out to the balcony with me for a second?"
"Strange, I feel as if I have met Naraxe before. Yet I sense something dark and sinister about him."
"Why do I have the feeling that I have seen that man before, and why am I sensing another dragoon here? Must be my mind playing tricks on me." Michael thought as he continued to dance with Kai.
"It seems that death has a funny way of bringing people together." OOC: Got to go for now, have to finish up at work. Will be back around 9:00 though. See you then!
"Thanks. Never thought I would ever fell this way about someone."
"Let's not think about that. I made a promise to myself that I would never lose you, and I intend to keep that promise. After all, you are my everything." He gave her a kiss.
Michael blushed. "You really think so? Even with my glasses?" He thought back to when he found Kai wounded in the forest. "I was afraid I was going to lose you."
"Dancing is like swordplay or martial arts, you have to maintain a good balance. The rest comes naturally." OOC: sure, whatever floats your boat 13th darkness
"Dancing's easy, I'll teach you." The two began to dance.
Michael had been watching everyone dance for a while now, but still he had not seen Kai. "Maybe she isn't coming after all..." He got up and went to the balcony to get some fresh air.
Michael entered the ballroom. He saw Cliff and Sophia dancing, but didn't see Kai anywhere. He sat down and waited. "I wonder where she could be." He thought
OOC: Making up something about the moon child is fine.
The king approached Michael, sword at the ready. Michael laughed, "So are you wanting to test your skills, my young apprentice?" He asked. "Hey, I'm older than when you last saw me." "True, but I'm still orlder than you. Now let's see you put those skills to the test." The two sparred on the balcony. "Fool!" Michael shouted. "You are supposed to put more power behind that attack. Now try it again." They continued with the test. "Good, you have been keeping practice. But you forgot the most basic rule." Michael knocked the sword from the Ottmar's hand and pointed his sword at the king's throat. "Never let your guard down when face to face with your opponent." Michael sheathed his sword. "Vae Victas." He said. "That concludes today's lesson. Just keep up your training, and you will do fine." Ottmar picked up his sword and sheathed it. He bowed to michael and returned to the throne room. Michael went back to gazing at the sunset.
Michael unsheathed his sword and thought about what he read in the scroll. "Since i don't know any way to excise a demon possessing a human, I will have to stick with sealing it." He practiced the movements for a sealing ritual.
Michael thought about Kai and sighed. Anyone looking at him now could tell he was in love.
