Akii touched Mage's face, stringing her hair through her fingers, "I think he likes you." "Akira!" Saix growled and Akii's sleight of hand, made Xaldin and Lexaeus hold him back. "I really do think he likes you. New heart, new loyalty... You wouldn't take him away from me, would you?" Luxord leaned back on his heels, being away from everyone made him do more work. "I think that's the most fighting I've done in ages."
Callen's smile died, "No. Though there weren't many before me. Your father is a ruthless scientist. Was he ever a good father?" Zain sat beside Daieko for a while as he questioned him. "How long does the change last?" "A while. You'll get over it." "I'm not so sure. What could possibly change about me?" Glancing over at him, he could see a few things left to change, "Your eyes, teeth, body, basically everything Daieko. First your teeth."
Akii took a step toward her and the first eight members followed in unison until Akii held up her hand, "All is forgiven. So...Saix tells me you like him." Saix flinched, he looked down to Akii, "Akira..." Her really blue eyes bore into Saix, "Be still my friend. I want to know."
A start of a smirk appeared on Callen's lips, "Rare blood type. Your father said the rarity of the blood will make the shadow infection spread quicker with different results baised on psycological status. Though....he took my family too. Though why he did that I don't know. Next question." Daieko looked up at him with his ice blue eyes, "You're eyes...Zain, you're...." He reached out to Zain and he slapped his hand away from him, "I'm human. My cure works, yours is a failure."
Akii smiled again for Mage, "Yes. That is what I am. Power of Light encased in a Dark overcoat." Saix stood slightly closer to Akii, he looked more at ease by her. All of the beginning members looked at ease beside her.
Leaning against the table, Callen sighed, rubbing his temples, "What is it you want to know?" Shemhazi led Zain to Daieko in his lab. He was bent over his desk with a series of books open around him. Daieko was covered in sweat, panting hard with the defective cure on his lips. "Why doesn't it work? What's wrong with my design?" "So, that's what I looked like when I was changing....disgusting."
haha, sure.
Callen nodded and pulled him over to Zero. Biting Toji's wrist, he let the blood drip into Zero mouth, held open by Ari. Callen let Toji go and watched Ari make Zero swallow. "Ari, watch over him." "Yes Sensei." she stood, "Sensei....will you tell the human everything?" Callen stared at her for a while before dragging Toji into the kitchen. "You want to know something don't you."
Oh I was waiting for Nuthead to post, but if he's not on I guess I should.
Chie gave him a confused look. Haru sighed and shifted away from Youske, he didn't want to be near him when Chie busted in his guts for what he'd done. "Better hurry it up Youske."
Hmm? What do you mean what's up with it?
Ari set Zero down on the couch and Callen stood closer to Toji, a desperate look on his face, "I need some of your blood. I'm sorry and I normally wouldn't ask before taking, but this is my son. Zero. I took him from your father's lab. Zero's....not well. He wasn't well in the lab because they kept a steady line of shadow blood flowing to him. He needs human blood in his system. So please, Toji." Ari looked up from Zero, "Sensei...Zero isn't-" "Ari, don't tell me. Toji, please, as a man I'm begging you. I promise you will not change or die."
Callen narrowed his rust colored eyes and ran a hand through his hair, "Can we come in and treat our 'friend' or not?" He impatienly shoved Toji aside, "With no where else to go, you have no choice. Ari, bring him in and set him on the couch." Ari, a short red headed girl carrying the pale blonde boy in her arms slid her pale gray eyes over Toji and licked her lips, "Sensei, Zero is growing colder. If we're going to save him, we'll need human blood. Is he our donor?" Zain beat on Daieko's door frantically and Shemhazi pulled it open. The surprise on her temporary human face was worth the trip alone. "I'm here for Daieko."
Sam stared at the ceiling, "If we are insane....no. That's not possible. It's not a logical possibility." She sat up, her mouth set as she looked at Risit, "I was going to ask if you think what the military is doing now is wrong."
"I do." Zain let go of her and returned downstairs, "Take care of her while I'm gone Toji." The door slammed behind him as he took off running toward Daieko's, lance in hand. Callen and Ari carried Zero to Toji's house, just missing Zain before he ran off. Callen pounded on the door with his fist, keeping a hand on Zero's pale cheek.
Lightning glared at Grey, her patience wearing thin, "Shut up! Without those guardians we don't stand a chance against a Fal'Cie at full health!" Anima had been different, he was weak and Light had been pissed. Dahaka could fly. Lightning weighed the chances of them all getting out of there alive. Slim, but she'd make them stay alive. "Dammit, spread out! Limit Dahaka's range of attack!" She watched Akira do as she said without hesitation and smiled at the young girl before casting four Ruin's at Dahaka.
Sam laughed lightly, "I suppose it would be a comforting possibility. But then that would mean we were crazy. Alternate reality is just a fancy word for insane." Samantha couldn't fathom being insane, but crazy people never could. "Risit..." She lost the words she wanted to say. "Never mind."
His face grew serious, "Yeah...at least. Listen, Yuki, I have to go check on Daieko. If he isn't human, he'll need my cure." The guards dropped dead and Callen and Ari stepped into the room. Strapped to a table was a boy no older than seventeen. "Zero...Ari free him." Ari bowed her head and ripped the chains and manacles away. Picking the boy up in her slim arms.
Lighting took a step back as she saw Dahaka, "No! Snow, we had the help of the guardians of the tower. We didn't do it by ourselves! How do we....the guardians...." Light looked around for one of the statues. "Snow look for at least one guardian!" Akira drew her gunblade. Holding the sharp blade close to her head, and spacing her feet apart, "Light, what's a guardian!?"
He smiled, "Sure did. I guess it's back to the normal life for me, huh?" he hugged her, without the urge to drink her blood, it was nicer. Callen and Ari were surrounded within minutes. Holding Ari back, "I take it you boys aren't here to help me retrive something that belongs to me?" "Stay where you are. Humans are not allowed in this laboratory without authorized permission." "Sensei..." "Then it's a good thing we're not human." A silent to human ears noise split through the air, forcing the guards' vessels in their heads to burst.
