Agreeing, Zain walked with Yuki back to Toji's. Ari had left the door wide open. "What the...?" Snarling, Callen stood, "What did you do to Nicholi?" Zero hissed, "Dr. Yagami..." Ari still waited for approval.
Trying vainly to hide his very human blush, he looked down the road Nicholi had taken, "I wonder what's keeping Nicholi?" Yagami dropped Nicholi at the doorstep of Toji's house. It was a random drop, but he figured Nicholi would be killed by whomever lived there. "I hope you wake up soon, little experiment. You have a lot of work to be done until you're complete." Callen stiffened and sniffed, "No body move. Ari get the door." Ari moved to obey and came back with both scientist and Nicholi, "Ari found Nicholi and doctor at door. Ari do good?"
"Don't worry, Yuki, it's never changed who you are. And it never will. I'll be alive long enough to see to that." Nicholi's eyes opened long enough to see the scientist above him wasn't the Doctor, but Dr. Yagami. "I...Yagami..." He picked Nicholi up and carried him out of the lab, "You escaped once, why would you want to come back? I won't let you throw away freedom for something as silly as being homesick."
He nodded and sighed, "They did keep that shadow's hand from going right through me. I don't really know if it's a good thing to be human or not. As a human, what would my purpose in this story become?" A shiny boot stopped infront of Nicholi. "I don't suppose you're going to get up anytime soon are you? Nicholi...you poor thing. You odn't belong here."
Zain grunted and lightly touched the crystals, "It's not so bad having them. It's not like they've progressed as fast as being a shadow." Nicholi took Yuki's suggestion to mind and refrained from killing the guards up front. Though he did knock them unconcious. Standing in the empty halls, a rush of horrifying memories flooded his head. Nicholi dropped to his knees in pain, I never...these aren't my memories. The failures, it's there memories. The blood, the screams...
Zane nodded, "Hmm, it's impossible to find something that would be useful if we've no leads on it. We could check out the myths but I doubt they'd lead anywhere." Shaking, Zee slammed open the doors of his room. He hurried to the bathroom to wash the blood from his hands and face.
"Then I'll see you all in a little bit." Nicholi calmly walked to the gates of the lab. "You sure we can trust something like him?"
"So, when do we leave?"
Nicholi's blood red eyes seemed to lower to their feet instead of looking them in the face, "Then your mission is impossible. They would shoot an abomination like me on sight. It is impossible to get near the Doctor without killing those around him."
Nicholi smiled, his smile was human, save for that snake-like tongue flicking in and out. "That's not a problem for my kind. I should be able to get you all inside. It's a simple job of k-" "No killing innocent people. I won't have any of that. Even if they are guards for someone like your "doctor"."
He frowned, "Well that's not helpful. You think the Templars know more about it?" Haru led the two to an old warehouse. Of the two assassins that went in. Only Zee returned, battered and bloodied. "Dammit, ah, this isn't going to be good."
"We could always go back and ask the doctor." Nicholi suggested and Zain growled, "No one's going near that place."
Right now I could really just use my computer back. I've been grounded and my mother says I can't have it back until the school year is over....
Nicholi shook his head, "I've already read them. There's nothing. The Doctor wrote, the section of his notes on the crystalization process of shadows was lost in a fire the night his son was born. It couldn't be helped. The Doctor meant to restart his research on it, but risking the shadows that were sentinent to perform such an experiment would've set him back dearly. For what, I do not know. perhaps his army of shadows like me or something along the lines of that."
Zain nodded, though he didn't have a clue where to start. "There is no cure." Zain gaped at Nicholi as he spoke so calmly, "At least, not anymore. It was destroyed a long time ago. At least, that's what I read in the Doctor's notes."
Vice sulked in her seat, playing with her rings. She never liked sitting in one place all the time. Tearing another packet of sugar, she licked it up, and pocketed a few others. "I wonder, wonder, wonder, where everyone is." she spoke in almost a singsong voice. Being slightly more lively than the rest of the reapers around her for the moment. Vice could feel her mood dying quickly.
Sam frowned, "I don't...are you saying my memories are fake? I remember my uncle, I remember the way he smelt and how he would hug me. What man? Who told you these things? What's your name even?" Fear gripped her and she dropped to her knees, she had no proof her family was real like he'd said. "Is this place all a dream?"
"Well the cure definately cured him. But his body, having been a shadow, reacted to the cure like a toxin at the last second. He would've needed a larger amount of the cure to purge all the shadow blood in him, but that would've killed him. The shadow blood and your cure, formed a crystaline substance within you and now will crystalize your body from the outside in. The last to crystalize will be your viatal organs and you could possibly die." Nicholi shrugged and cautiously lifted Zain's shirt, "Yes, I'm quite certain of your toxic disease. I'd advise not sharing bodily fluids with any other shadows, lest this happen to them too."
Zain rubbed his eyes as if he were tired of hearing that. "I know what it issss. If you would not violently attack me for a ssssecond for me to tell you." Nichoi crept out from behind a grave, his pale skin covered by a large trench coat and leather gloves. Even his head and face were covered with a hat and scarf. He was dressed for winter. "How long have you been standing there?" "Long enough to know you're condition as well as mine."
Akii flung her hand back and summoned a blazing white Keyblade. she dashed for Xehanort and the Organization followed, "Akira!" "I don't care! Momma died because...she hated this world! My true path lies on destruction too, that doesn't mean I'm gonna willingly follow it!"
