As Michael started to calm down, the tempest slowed, and finally subsided. The uprooted trees fell to the ground around him, leaving a clearing full of destruction. "Geez, do you think you over did it?" "I didn't know I was that angry....." "Kids these days....." Michael walked back to town.
OOC: It's about time. BIC: Michael sat down and began to meditate, all the while, a tempest raged around him, the intensity seemed to match his fury. Trees were being uprooted and pulled into the storm as Michael tried to clear his mind.
Michael went out into the forest. He started to practice with his powers to blow off some steam. "You're angry? That's a first." "Silence, dragon! I'm not in the mood right now." "Touchy, aren't we? Whatever, I'll talk to you when you have cooled off."
"You make me sick, Cliff. While you stand here, feeling sorry for yourself, the world spirals ever closer to enslavement or destruction, and I'm not going to stand around and let it happen. You can either continue on this journey with the rest of us, or sit here, wallowing in your self-pity. It's your choice, if you want to continue the fight against our enemies, then come find me, if not, we will just leave you here." Michael walked off. "Don't you think you were a little harsh on him?" "We have no time to babysit weaklings. People like that make me hate the fact that I have human blood corsing through my veins."
Michael punched Cliff. "Idiot! Your mission was not to guard some gem, it's to preserve peace and order in this world! I swear you humans can be so stupid at times. We will get the dragoon soul back."
Michael walked up to Cliff. "I'm not even going to ask why you look like a drowned rat. More importantly, what happened to the Devine dragoon soul? I thought you were supposed to be guarding it..."
Michael went to Kai's room and saw the note. "Was it something I said?" "Maybe she really does not love you...." "If she didn't, she would have told me in person. I just hope she will be ok......" "On to other matters.....You do sense that the devine dragoon soul has been stolen, right?" "Yes, but how? Cliff was supposed to be guarding it...." "I don't know, why don't you ask him?" Michael went to find Cliff.
OOC: I think you only sent that to true darkness.
OOC: I'm back....had to go to my brother's funeral on thursday. Read back but could someone enlighten me on what's going on?
OOC: I would, but I can't. Had to work today:crybaby:, but got 2 days off coming up, so will probably see it then.
One of the kids tugged at Michael's robe. "Big brother, who's the guy in the tin can?" Michael hit the child over the head. "What did I tell you about insulting people?" "Sorry....." "Don't apologize to me. It's Cliff you owe the apology to." The child turned and bowed to Cliff. "Sorry Cliff...."
Garin stood up. "So Michael, when can we expect some great grandchildren?" Michael fell out of his chair. He jumped up. "Grandpa! Why would you even ask that?!" "Geez, calm down. It was just a joke. You always take things too seriously." "Leave him alone, Garin. You know how he gets when you mess with him like that." said Lyn.
"What are you, a ninja or something? Well, since you are here, you might as well have something to eat."
OOC: Didn't think anyone else was going to log in today. BIC: "Hey Cliff. How did you know where we were?"
Garin sat down to eat. Michael turned to Kai. "So, what do you think of my grandma's cooking, Kai?" OOC: Good night.
Everyone sat down and ate. "As always, your cooking is delicious, grandma." Just then, a man carrying a bundle of wood came in the house. He dropped the wood and smiled. "Now look who's come to visit. How have ya been, boy?" "Just fine, Grandpa." Michael's grandpa noticed Kai. "I see you finally found love, Michael. Pleasure to meet you miss. Name's Garin, and you are?
"Yes, he is a sweet child. He was so cute when he was little. We were saddened when our daughter Sarisa died, but we were glad that Michael was born. But tell me Michael, what happened to your father, Alastor?" "He was murdered, by my adopted brother Edrick. Thankfully, father's soul is at rest." "I bet you two are hungry. I was just finishing cooking lunch, would you like to join us?"
The two went inside. "How have you been, Michael? We wondered when you were going to pass through town again. Oh, and it looks like you brought a guest." "Yes, grandma. I would like you to meet Kai, my girlfriend." "It's a pleasure, miss. You can just call me Lyn."
"Ok, let's go in. I'm sure my grandparents would like to meet you."
Michael picked up a wooden sword and handed one to his young student. "Show me that attach you used to take down that bear, big brother." Michael laughed. "You are a little young for that one. Besides, you don't even know how to use the sword yet. Come on, let's get started." The two sparred for a while. "I think I'm getting the hang of it. Now you will show me that attack, right?" "Maybe next year, young one. Now go inside, grandma's calling you." The kid smiled and ran inside, the other kids followed. "That was fun, but now I'm getting hungry. How about you, Kai?"
