"I can't remember much from my younger years. Too much has happened since then."

OOC: Besides messing with the dragoons, I have no idea. BIC: "You looked familiar to me too when I first saw you. I think I might have been to your village before!"
"I can't really remember. I just remember a little redhead girl singing it to me....."
"Strange, that song sounds so familiar, like I have heard it before....."
"Sort of, my father and I spent most of our time on the road, going where the wind took us. We would stop at towns to restock our supplies. People would try to bully me, because of the fact that I am a half-breed. The only towns I was really welcome in were Villgust and this village, Snowborne."
"He would have left anyway, but he insulted me. You see, calling a keldon, even a half-breed, an elf is the human equivilent of a human calling another a *******."
The two sat down and had a drink. Then a drunk walked and started bothering the couple. In a slurred voice he said, "Now what's a pretty lady like you doing with a freak like that?" Michael clenched his fist. "Go away." "Shut up you winged elf, I wasn't talking to you." "Nobody calls me an elf." Michael punched the man and sent him halfway across the room.
"Good, I could use a drink."
"I don't know what to say, except thanks." Michael gave Kai a kiss.
"From what Cliff told me, our 'friend' the Dark dragoon took it, but why, I don't know."
Michael wiped the tears from Kai's face. "Don't cry. Tears don't suit you. I'm just glad you're back."
"Why did you leave in the first place?"
OOC: Wasn't able to get on yesterday. Internet connection crapped out on me, but dosen't look like I missed much. BIC: "I'll be fine, just need a little rest." Michael said to Kai.
Michael staggered, still reeling from his out of body experience.
Michael went to find the others, but as he walked along, he felt a strange sensation. His surroundings shifted and warped. He looked down and saw his body laying face first in the snow. "What's going on?" "Seems like that surge of power pulled your spirit into the spectral realm." "Spectral realm? Then you're saying that I'm dead, then?" "No, far from it." "If I'm out of body, then how are you speaking to me?" "Look behind you." Michael turned and saw the dragon spirit, clear as day. "Oh, so this whole time, I've had a dragon spirit following me. I thought you were in the jade stone." "No, that's the conduit I was using to speak to you, but since you are here, I don't need to use it." "That's great, but tell me something. How do I get out of here?!" "Just stand next to your body and focus your energy." Michael did as the dragon said, and found himself back in the material plane. "Ok, now how did I enter the spectral plane in the first place?" "The surge of elemental power must have inadvertently triggered a latent power of yours." "Great, something new to learn......"
Michael went to the inn to get his pack. Then he flew from town. "Where are you going? Shouldn't you wait for the others?" "I'm not going far. Just going to pay my respects to a loved one." He flew south to a single grave, landed and knelt down to pray. Michael stood and wiped the dirt from the gravestone and looked at the inscription. This was his mother's grave. He laid a single flower, along with one of his feathers at the base of the stone as he shed a single tear. Michael then flew back to town.
