I've tried the game, and well... It's just not my cup of tea. But I can understand why others love it.
Honestly, I didn't care much for his first two Christmas specials (first one felt like a Christmas Carol ripoff, second one felt like a blatant filler). The last one however, I absolutely loved (especially since it was actually crucial to the plot).
They're already planning for Series 8, the show's not ending yet. Also, I know there's that whole thing with the fall of the Eleventh, but Matt Smith is filming scenes for the 50th anniversary episode, and is confirmed to return for this year's Christmas special. So we'll have to wait and see.
~School Hallway~ Xion tried to find someone she can tell about what she learned about earlier in the day, about the S-type, Vanitas, and the fact that Al Mualim is plotting to do something to Peppy. Once she reached an empty hallway, she found one of the guards of the school, Saïx, completely alone in the hallway. "Mr. Saix, I need to tell you something!" Xion said. Saix turned towards her and said, "Shouldn't you be heading home like everyone else?" "But there's something important I have to tell someone before something bad happens," Xion replied. Sighing, Saix asked, "What is it?" Xion then began to speak, "Earlier today, something appeared to Vanitas and his friends. It called itself an S-type. It told Vanitas to kidnap Peppy, and he 's willing to do it." "What!?" Saix commented with his voice slightly louder. "Also, the S-type said that Al Mualim was with him. I'm not sure we can trust our principal," Xion continued. After a minute of silence, Saix pondered, then said, "Wait here." Xion nodded as Saix left the hallway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Spoiler ~A different hallway in Nintendo High~ Unlike everyone else, who was trying to get back home, Vanitas simply leaned his back accross a wall, playing with the small black crystal he found earlier in the day, which was connected to the S-type he met earlier. However, someone just saw him with the crystal... Xehanort noticed Vanitas and his crystal. Curious about the crystal, Xehanort signaled Gaston to hold Vanitas. Gaston then walked close to Vanitas, and held him tight, causing Vanitas to drop the crystal. Xehanort went and picked up the crystal. "So, Vanitas... Care to tell me where you found this?" Xehanort asked. "Grr, none of your business Xehanort!" Vanitas yelled as he was struggling to get out of Gaston's grip, "Now let me go!" "Not until you answer his question," Gaston told Vanitas. "Exactly," Xehanort commented, "Now I'm going to ask one more time. Where did you find this?" "Enough!" yelled a voice close by... It was Al Mualim. Noticing who it was, Gaston let Vanitas go. The principal walked towards the three boys, snatched the crystal from Xehanort's hand, and asked, "Who does this belong to?" "Mine. They were just trying to take it away from me," Vanitas answered. Al Mualim focused on Vanitas, then said, "Follow me to my office. As for you two, I don't want to see you doing this again." Al Mualim then walked towards his office, with Vanitas following him. "Well that was a waste of time," Gaston commented as he left the hallway. Xehanort, on the other hand, had his eyes fixated on Al Mualim and the crystal in his hand. What secrets is that man holding, Xehanort thought to himself.

Spoiler ~Earlier~ Spoiler Al Mualim turned on his speaker to make an announcement for the school. "The Ministry of Interior has announced that all schools in Japan will be cancelled until Friday. All students are to leave as soon as possible. While not obligatory, it is recommended that your fathers take you all home. Any changes with the policy regarding the school cancellation will be announced on the news. Be safe, and leave luck to Nintendo High," Al Mualim said through the speakers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Spoiler ~At a Nearby Hospital~ Spoiler John Smith arrived to the hospital where his mother was, and went straight to her room... There, he found his mother sleeping in a hospital bed being checked by a doctor. "You're her son I suppose?" the doctor commented. "That's right," John Smith replied, "So how is she?" "Oh she's doing fantastic! A bit of a shock from what happened, but all she needs is to rest for a few more hours, then she'll be able to go home tonight," the doctor answered. Sighing in relief, John Smith then said, "Thank you so much Doctor... ummm..." "Doctor Hu," the doctor said, continuing John's sentence with his name. "Doctor who?" John asked when the doctor told him his name. "No no, Hu as in with an H-u, not a w-h-o," Doctor Hu replied. "Oh, I see," John Smith commented. Just then, the crash at the Devil May Dine diner happened. The television in the room, which was turned on to CNN, started airing what just happened. John Smith and Doctor Hu were shocked at what they just saw. "Unbelievable," the doctor commented while shaking his head. It looked like they were going to get lots of new patients, as it seemed whoever didn't die in that crash was certainly injured badly. The doctor left the room, and John Smith was alone with his mother, who was still sleeping. Sitting by her side, John Smith held her right hand firmly. Smiling, he kissed her hand, and said, "You'll be alright, I promise." ----------------------------------------------------- Spoiler ~School Cafeteria~ Spoiler After hearing Al Mualim's announcement, Thor said, "If you want, I can drive you all home." "You guys go ahead. I need to take care of something," Xion said. "You sure you're gonna be okay?" Vanellope asked. "Yeah, don't worry," Xion replied. Xion then got up and walked away while waving goodbye to her friends, who waved back at her. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Spoiler ~Crystal Order HQ~ Listening to What Kazari had to say, Rassilon said, "Philip huh... excellent work Kazari." Before Rassilon could continue however, Siegfried interrupted, asking what he should do for his next mission. Rassilon smiled and said, "Kazari, I want you to go with Siegfried and capture Philip alive. Kill anyone who gets in your way. He could see dead bodies all around, as well as injured civilians. It wasn't long after Garrus arrived that he started coughing from the smoke he breathed in. Just then, police cars, ambulances, and fire engines arrived to the scene. One of the police officers started to speak with a megaphone, "We need you all to get back. Seek the nearest shelter you could find. And seek medical attention if needed." Several fire fighters were digging through the rubble, trying to find any survivors while hosing down the fire. "Peppy, we need to get out of here," Phil said. But then, he started coughing a lot, and then fainted. --------------------------------------------------------- Spoiler ~Tokyo Cathedral~ Spoiler BGM Frollo, the archdeacon of the Tokyo Cathedral, noticed Cecil and his friends arrive. "May I help you?" Frollo asked, approaching them.
I understand, but I guess my issue is that all they seem to be talking about in interviews is "trying to make it scary." I get that there are lots of people who want to be frightened, and that's fine. But there are also some, like me, who couldn't care less whether or not the show is scary. I'm not against trying to make things scary, but just don't make it the #1 focus is all I'm saying.
I really enjoyed yesterday's episode. Though, I'm noticing how many of you are saying it wasn't that scary, so I'll be honest... Doctor Who never scares me. I've seen episodes with the Weeping Angels, Silence, Vashta Nerada, etc., and frankly, none really frighten me. I keep hearing Moffat trying to say "Oh, lets make (insert random monster) scary!", yet I never end up being scared. The ONLY time I can truthfully say that the show (and Moffat) actually scared me was with the Empty Child. Now that freaked me out and gave me nightmares where I kept hearing the words "Are you my mummy?" But other than that, meh.
Well yeah, I meant in comparison to everyone else here. Btw, I'll turn 22 in October
