ok the first couple chapter is basically an intro but it's gets better later on and the main chater grows up Entry One: My Name Is Jade. I woke up to my alarm clock that sat on my desk next to my bed. I groaned before turning it off. “I don’t want to go…†I rolled back over. “Come down already!†My mom called from downstairs. “We have to get going!†“Huh?†I got up and ran down the stairs without changing out of my black, smooth nightdress. I went though the living and two hallways to get into the kitchen where my mom was. Everything was already in boxes, besides my room. “What do you mean we’re leaving? We can’t leave! We’ve lived here forever and if we leave now we might as well just surrender to war!†“No I’m not saying that. It’s just that-†“I don’t want to hear it!†I ran up to my room and slammed the door behind me before jumping on my bed and covering my face with my arms. Before the war started my mom and me never fought but now that is all we do. I really do love her and don’t want to fight with her, but I don’t know. I don’t know anything anymore; everything’s too confusing now. “Isn’t life so annoying?†I heard some male’s voice said behind and quickly sat up and faced him. “W-who are you?†He had black hair that went down to his chin, a blackish gray sweater on and baggy blue jeans on, he looked normal… “You may call me Despair. She had her brown wavy hair in a lose fitting bun, blue eyes, and smooth skin. “Look I’m sorry that we have to leave but it is the only way. I really don’t want to lose you like I lost your sister and father and I do hope that we can stop fighting.†“I’m sorry mother but I don’t want to leave. I made a promise that I ten to keep even if it kills me literally. She then headed to the back door but that had collapsed also. “We’re trapped… Come this way.†She led me down to the basement “There is a trap door around here somewhere. Find it and go through a tunnel and at the end you will find some people to help you.†“But mom-†I turned to look at her and saw her sitting on the ground leaning on the wall “What’s wrong?†I ran to her side. “I’m just a little tired but go! Hurry before you’re trapped and don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.†“But I can’t…†“Do as I say now!†I nodded before I started to look for the trap door she was talking about. I moved rugs and tabled before I came to the bookshelf. I moved it and there was the tunnel entrance. I looked back to my mom who just smiled before I went into the darkness. I used both of my hands to touch each of the walls to the side of me so I won’t trip. Soon I got to an underground room that looked like it belonged to a warehouse only ten times bigger “Wow…†The room was also filled with many people. Not all of them were humans this must be some of the rebellion…. but why is our house connected to here…was mom…! “It nice to finally meet you.†“Huh?†I looked to who was talking to me and saw a tall man wearing a yellow T-shirt that was torn and showed off his muscles. He had a buzz cut and gray eyes. “Who are you?†“My codename Gray and I’m the leader of this small group for the moment but not for long…†“Why?†“Because we are going to meet up with the leader of all of the resistance.†“The leader!? Now way!†He laughed. “But there are two things that I don’t understand…†“Huh? And what will those be?†“First why are you using codenames?†“Because if the enemies find out our real names they will be able to hurt our families, if anyone here have any, and it’s just better for many reasons that you will learn about later.†“Oh. So what about me.†“Well your name is Jade, right?†I nodded. “Let’s just call you Rose for now since it has nothing to do with your real name.†“But how did you know my name? He thought it would be best to change the topic. “So it looks like you need a change of clothes, hmm?†I looked at what I was wearing and he was right. “Yeah. You’re right. But what do I change into?†“We got a few females here who are about your size. Go ask around and just put some pants on and when we get to our next stop then you can change fully there.†I nodded as he walked away. I looked around and saw no one that was my size at first glance so I walked around. Just about everyone here looked like they were poor and was just in a battle. I saw a blonde girl who was about the same height as I was and was on the far side of the room leaning against the wall so I went over to her. “Um, sorry to bother you but Gray said that I should find someone my size to see if I can burrow a pair of pants.†She had her long hair tied in a ponytail; a black loose-fitting fitting shelves less shirt and brown baggy pants that was cut above ankles. She looked at me from head to toe with a sour look. “This will be the one and only time that I will lend something of mine to you, princess.†She said in a cold voice and crouched down. Next to her feet was a big brown bag that she now searched through. She pulled out a pair of pants that looked just like the ones she had on only that they were black and she threw it at me. “T-thanks.†I said putting them on. After a buttoned it up she spoke again “So you’re the one who we went on this detour for? I was hoping for someone who could help out at least a little.†“I can help out.†“We’ll see.†“That we will†“Gather up your things ‘cause we’re moving out!†I heard Gray’s voice yelling over the talking and it grew silent but only for a second when the noise of people standing up and packing their things filled oversized room. The girl zipped up her bag and stood while throwing the strap of her bag over her shoulder. “Wait. What is your name?†“My codename is Snake.†“Okay Snake. I am going to make a bet with you. If I help out more then you think I could ever do then you owe me.†She smiled “Deal.†And with that she followed the crowd that was heading through a tunnel that was directly across from here I had came from, my home. I followed knowing that there will be no turning back; I was now officially part of the war.
