"Not much. After I beat him in battle, he game me this sword. He did tell me that my mother was still alive though..."
"Now that you mention it..." Michael took a good look at the sword and nearly dropped it. The blade was sixty inches long, but was light as a feather.
Michael woke up. He pulled out the gift his father had given him. "Why did he give me this? It dosen't enev have a blade..." "That wouldn't be Kyozuko, would it?" "That's what my father called it." "It's a phantom sword. The blade is invisible, stupid." "Interesting...it's pretty light."
Michael yawned. "Think I'll take a nap...." "Right here in the street?!" Michael didn't hear Zephyr, as he was already fast asleep.
OOC: Beats me. Last I heard of it, Angel stole it. BIC: "Where's Cliff?" "He finally found Sophia." "That's good."
Michael slowly stood up and placed his hand on his head. "Ugh....remind me never to do that again..." "Ok. Don't do that again." Michael hit Zephyr. "Smartass..."
"Very good, son. But it's time that we ended this..." "I couldn't agree with you more. I will end it with one stroke." "Confident, as always..." The two ran at each other and swung their weapons. When the dust had settled, Alastor fell to his knees. "Well met...my son." His soul started to disolve. "Take this...." Alastor threw a sword hilt at Michael's feet. "That is Kyozuko, the phantom sword. May it serve you better than it did me..." "Thank you.....father." Michael said as he picked up Kyozuko. "Before I dissapear, though, I have something to tell you about your mother." "What?" "Sarisa didn't die after your birth....she also found my lab. I sealed her memories and sent her away." "Why didn't you tell me this before?" "It's not important now...." Alastor's soul completely vanished. Michael returned to his body.
"Are you ready, son? I won't go easy on you." "I don't expect you to!" Michael charged at his father. The battle raged on for what seemed like hours. "Your skills have improved greatly." "You're not so bad yourself...but you realize that only one of us is going to be walking away from this." "I know...." The two continued to exchange blows.
Michael finally made it to the source of the problem. There, he saw his father. "Alastor, it's been a while. Not long enough though, it seems..." "Michael, you still won't call me father?" "No father of mine would have committed the sins that you have." "So you still haven't forgiven me?" "Why should I? I'm not here to discuss the past, just to send you back to hell where you belong." "So be it....let us fight elsewhere, though. I don't want to risk anymore damage to this girl's soul." "Fair enough..." The two left Angel's soul.
"Impatient mortal....I could have just teleported him. Oh well..." Back inside Angel's soul.... "I think I'm getting closer to the problem. Then again, I just said that an hour ago."
"He'll be ok...." Inside Angel's soul.... "This is worse than going through a human mind! And here I am without a map..." OOC: Have to go for now....
"I don't have much of a choice, now do I?" "Stop yammering and get in there!" Michael disconnected his soul from his body and entered Angel's soul.
"Only Michael will be able to. He is more attuned to the spectral realm. You will have to stay outside and watch if the rouge soul jumps out, Kai." "More attuned....what do you mean by that?" "I'll tell you later."
"Because the problem lies at the very core of her soul, that's why! Why does everyone try to second-guess a god?"
"It's like another soul has entered hers and is trying to shatter it...." "So, what do we do?" "Enter the spectral realm and draw the rouge soul out, what else?" Zephyr pointed a finger at Cliff and turned him into a statue. "Well, somebody had to shut him up!"
"Put me down already, Michael!" Michael dropped Zephyr. "Take a look at her and see what's wrong." "Ok, just give me a minute....besides, Cliff is going to have to let her go first before I can do any examination."
Michael ran into Zephyr as she ran out of the inn. "There you are! What have you been doing?!" "Less talking, more running!" The innkeeper came out, holding an axe in his hand. "Good thing you caught that little thief..." "Thief? You didn't...." Zephyr had a guilty look on her face. "How much does she owe you?" "50 gold..." Michael handed the man the gold. "Thanks, but why are you paying her tab? She related to you?" "In a way....." The innkeeper walked back inside. "Thanks for bailing me out, Michael!" Michael picked her up by her robe. "I'll deal with your punishment later, right now we have more important matters to tend to."
