Michael read the message, then threw it to the ground. "That stupid guard overreacted and got me worried for nothing! The message was to let me know that the human villages in the area are pitching in to help with the reconstruction. Looks like the project will be finished faster than I thought."
"What a lovely singing voice." Michael went to pull out his flute, but stopped when a guard entered the clinic. "Sire, I have a message from the Villgust reconstruction team." "Can't it wait?" "I'm sorry, sir, but it can't. It's very urgent." Michael took the message from the guard. "Leave us." "Yes, my lord." The guard left.
"It looks like you two were made for each other.." Sarisa turned to Michael. "Whatever happened to your father, Michael?" Michael looked down. "I'd rather not discuss that...." "I see...."
"So Michael found my ring after all...It looks better on you though, Kai. It makes me happy that Michael found someone to love." Sarisa caught a glimpse of Zephyr. "That girl isn't your child is she?" Michael fell to the floor. "Of course not, mother!" "You don't have to shout, son. I'm not deaf, you know..." Zephyr laughed.
"It's nice to meet you, Kai. I am Sarisa." Sarisa looked at Michael. "My, how you have grown, Michael. But seeing that you were a baby the last time I saw you, that's an understatement..."
"Sophia will be back soon. At least she wasn't kidnapped this time." Michael's mother started to sit up. "Mother, are you ok?"
"She did?" Michael glared at Zephry. She just grinned meekly at him. Michael looked at Cliff. "Feeling better?"
"It's just until all of the keldon are unified...besides, I have plans to completely change the way the keldon government works." Michael smiled. "How did you know about that promise, though?"
"I don't think I'll be king for too long." He whispered back.
"It's ok..." He said "What did you tell her Zephyr?" "Only the truth."
"Your father was the leader of the Keldon army back in the demonium war. The people that captured him were really after Michael. Your father sacrificed his freedom so that Michael could live on. He made Michael promise that when he came of age to ascend to the throne, that he would do so to unify the keldon."
"It was your father."
"You know Michael dosen't want to be a king. He only took the throne for now to fulfill a promise he made to someone long ago..."
"There you are, Kai. Why did you run away?"
Have a good time.
"There she goes again...." Zephyr sighed. "I'll go talk to her. You stay here, Michael." Zephyr left the clinic to find Kai. Michael looked at his sighed and sat down.
"So reconstruction has begun....man, it feels weird to be king." "Well get used to it, your highness." "Don't call me that." "What do you want me to call you, then?" "Just call me Michael." "Whatever, your majestey." Michael hit Zephyr. "Quit being a smartass, you little brat."
"Lord Michael, this message just arrived for you." Michael took the letter and read it.
"I didn't see anybody. But then again, I was concerned about something else..."
"No, I don't think so..."
