Renee and Terra glanced toward a frantic Banjo. Roxas looked up from Xion smoking and ran a hand through his hair, "What's the sudden hurry?" Saix laughed softly and followed her toward the doors. He didn't know this place, in all the worlds he'd visited. Pushing open the heavy doors, he stared at the long stair case, "Looks like a long walk to me." The Mysterious Figure bowed his head to Akii, smiling under his hood. His challenge was accepted and now the chase began. Opening a more detailed dark portal, he motioned for Aqua to join him and he took Akii and Zexion with him into the portal.
Zero dropped back into sleep and Callen waited for Zain and Ari to return. Ari dragged Zain home after a while with armfulls of groceries. Zain still had a pained look in his eyes but his mouth moved freely about all the recepies he would create with the new food, just like old times.
The Mysterious Figure simply lifted a hand and gave a two fingered salute to him. Akii smiled, "Bye bye!" The Figure recognized his salute as a sign of a challenge. If they left, he would chase them. Until they returned. That was his duty in the Dark Marginal. Saix landed on his feet, looking around he felt confused, "Where are we? Why would your corridor bring us here?" Renee and Terra exchanged bewildered looks. Renee couldn't quite place what she was feeling, but it wasn't what she usually felt. Terra stood, brushing himself off and looked at Raoxthu, "I take it you two are together. So then, I don't suppose you'd mind if you took me along on whatever journey you're going on?"
Akii and Zexion turned to look at who'd spoken. Aqua stood and Akii twitched, "Who's he?" "I'm not sure. Not everyone who comes here, speaks freely. I'm still waiting for someone." Once she'd spoken a large man wearing the Organization's coat stepped out of a dark portal and nodded to Aqua. She nodded back as he sat on the rock beside her. He didn't speak and Akii immediately knew who he was. Without words she hugged him. The Mysterious Figure rose, with Akii still hanging on him and moved toward the new portal out of the Dark Realm.
Zero smiled and Callen punched him in the face. "The best thing to do is hope Zain's human instincts will keep him away from Ari in that way." "Hmph, not unless a certain sister pushes them together enough. A human's resistance is nothing compared to the desires of a shadow."
Demitri took a few of the hits, before seperating his fist from the defensive position and struck Kurisu in the face, pushing the Runner away from Demitri's personal space. "I'm impressed, you know just enough about me and my brother to make me want to kill you. Other than that your my next paycheck, it was only a minor desire to maybe maim you a little. Oh well, I guess there's another one dead for Black Chaos." He felt a cough build up in his chest and pushed it down. I don't have time for this damned illness. Out of his peripherial vision he noticed the female standing off to the side and the Runner Ryku had taken an interest in on the rooftops closer to Ryku than he would've wanted. And then there was Ryku with his sniper rifle mounted on a rooftop behind him. He could feel his brother's gaze on him but gave no sign that he was there. Demitri's black eyes were focused on Kurisu, "I realize skipping formalities was the wrong idea. Calling you 'paycheck' and 'Runner' isn't blowing over well with me. I'd like to have a name to write on your gravestrone."
Ash opened his eyes and took a moment to gather where they were. Hearing his partner's voice he blindly followed her. He took one glance around their room and shrugged. Ash, still half-alseep, walked out onto the balcony and let the wind wake him up further. He curiously glanced down from the balcony and wondered how much it'd hurt if he fell from here. His slight curiosity died as he reasoned, Quite a bit, I suppose. He turned to Kegan, a single thought running through his head, "Are we going to explore the town?" They were the first words he'd spoken since he sat down on the train.
Zero grimaced with pain, "It won't change him! He's human, this I made sure of! It was Nicholi's idea. We both saw how much Ari desired if only for a sliver of emotion from Zain toward her. Giving that to her has made her happier than I've seen her before." "How can you tell? She never shows any emotions! Ari is dead inside! Zain loving a shadow is unnatural! We're unnatural. I should've left you there!" Zero snarled.
Kisa snarled again, she was begining to like David more than the Behemoth. "The Parenthapaeus family has more class in their little pinky's than you do in your entire tree! Just because I'm angry, doesn't mean we don't have class." She opened her mouth to call him something foul when she heard a familiar voice behind her. "My lady Kisa? I have something very important to tell you." Her mother's personal butler, who stayed with her mother at all times, even in her comatose state. "What is it Lucien!? I don't have time to deal with your pressures right now!" "Ah, but Lady Kisa...it's about your mother..." It was all she needed to hear for her anger to fade away faster than Zelos could tell her to calm down. Her shaking hands were clearly visible now and her face drained of all color, leaving her a pale, nervous wreck. She turned away from David, despite what her instincts told her about turning her back on the enemy, "Wh-what is it? What's wrong?" "May we speak in private? I would not wish to reveal family secrets to commoners." Kisa hated calling them that but she nodded weakly and shakily moved past everyone. She was almost certain all eyes were on her. Leaving the cafeteria with Lucien, Kisa listened to him describe what the doctors had said. "If Madam Parenthapaeus does not show signs of change within the week, they will take her off the machines and she will die. They said she was taking up space. Lady Kisa...I did not have the ability to tell them what I knew your answer would be. They require direct word from you." Kisa stood rooted to the spot just outside the doors. Her vision blurred and her energy left her. Collapsing to her knees, she could only shake her head in denail.
Demitri shrugged, tempering his patience all those years ago had come in handy. "Yeah, that's what they call me. But I'm not here to socialize with my paycheck. I'm just here to collect." Instead of waiting, he sprinted forward, ducking his head and giving a one-two punch to Kurisu's stomach before the boy could move. He turned on his heel to aim a well placed kick to Kurisu's chest, keeping his elbow's tucked in, just like a pro. Ryku noticed the female Runner first, Hanna. He sighed and shifted a little, "This will cause a bit of a problem." He couldn't make up his mind. Either injure Demitri's pride and shoot the girl or let her be and focus on cover for his cocky brother. Decisions, decisions....
Callen growled at Zero and glared at him. "That's not normal behavior, Zero. It's not who Zain was. Did Ari ask you to put that into him? How much have you added to his code!?" Zero lifted himself slightly off the couch, "It was only a little bit of shadow hormone. He's handled it well if you ask me. No, she didn't have to ask. I could see it in her eyes! Ari wanted him to love her and now he will! Everyone will be happy once he settles down and lets the hormone balance out." Callen gripped Zero's shirt and yanked him up, "It's not normal!"
Zero grinned, "I see he's developing at a remarkable pace." Callen frowned and stood, "That woudn't be the first display of attraction toward Ari would it? I don't suppose he's been unusually active with females has he?" Callen moved to follow him but stopped at Zero's tone, "You leave it alone, Callen. Zain is progressing as we hoped. He'll be himself in a matter of weeks now."
Kisa had started to growl when David spoke, but hearing Frost comment on her having no class tipped her over the edge. She snarled, electricity sparking off the floor and crackling in the air around her. Her own noble blood from her mother boiling over. "What did you just say to me? You wanna rephrase that any day now?" Her hand tightened on Tora's wrist as she yanked Tora behind her with a surprising amount of strength. Lightning and Ice elements never played friendly. Kisa's yellow eyes glowed with her further agitation and she turned her glare to Frost. "Someone with class huh? I don't suppose you could introduce me to them, I'd gladly sit at a table and play nice with THEM!" What electricity touched the floor, burnt it, making long black marks and more to clean up. Kisa couldn't begin to care, though she was pissed, her hands were shaking. She still felt ill and probably should've taken Zelos up on the offer to sit out. Kisa lashed out first, a flat palm filled with sparking electricity slapped David across the face. Her glare stayed wtih Frost. She knew directly hurting him would take more effort than she had at the moment.
Zain ripped his gaze away from her, "Wh-what!? I...." he sighed and reluctantly grabbed his jacket, "Fine. What am I getting anyway?" Zero looked up, "Could you pick me up some pain killers. I may heal faster than normal but this is getting ridiculous that I have to still be in pain." Zain gritted his teeth and watched Ari skip to his side. "Ari's ready to go anywhere with Zain." He mumbled something under his breath and started for the door.
Zero flinched and Callen looked down. Zain shook his head, "What the hell! You guys are trying to recreate your own mom? Isn't that against the rules?" "Would it matter to you!? It's not your mother, Nicholi had brought back!" Ari bounded down the stairs and whatever else Zain was going to say was lost again. His eyes were rivited to her like metal to a magnet.
Sam threw herself into a chair and piled food onto her plate, "I'm starved. Ah, thank you ma'am. I sure hope you don't do any of that religious pray before you eat stuff. I'm a little famished." She waited for Shiv to shake her head to start eating. Sam's mouth was full, and thus she refrained from speaking. Shiv shook her head mostly to clear her odd emotions and for Sam's question. Sighing, she momentarily moved over to the little table in the corner and lifted the picture back up. There weren't many pictures of the boy remaining in the open like this. She sat and motioned for Vanessa to sit and eat. Shiv would eat very little, she'd suddenly lost her appetite for food. A magicly floating pitcher came around and filled everyone's glasses with a dark wine. "Since you two know nothing about Witches Lagoon and my string of Inn's, I suppose you were not born recently. Those who have lived a long time often choose what they want to hear and thus hear very little about the outside world. Where do you come from? Or perhaps I should ask why Vanessa had to rescue you." Her tightness eased and she relaxed into her chair, the wine glass in her hand, swirling the dark liquid.
Demitri slightly moved when the Runner tossed his can of Coke at him and let him knock his gun out of his hands. Demitri was still fit and grabbing the gun again would only slow him down. He motioned toward the Runner and lifted his fists up, "Bring it on, walking paycheck. I've got time to kill and you're apart of that time. Since you lowlifes don't like weapons, I'll show you just how skilled I am." Crooking his hand in a 'bring it' sign, Demitri waited for the Runner to make the first move. Ryku walked until he stood on a rooftop above his brother. "Here we go again..." He set up his sniper rifle and waited, just like Demitri would want him to, for the Runner to get too good for his brother. Overpowering Demitri was difficult but do-able. When that happened it was byebye Runner.
Xigbar watched Xenree, he'd never noticed the pills until now. He turned his attentio back to his avoided question and Xemnas' inquiry, "Nothin' on my side." He wanted to ask Xenree about her pills, even if he had to use force to get her to respond to him, she'd answer. Xenree froze as she realized what she'd done. Her head bowed a little and she slipped the pills into her pocket. What Vexen had made for her was going to get her into trouble. Darkness pills...so she could utilize the darkness inside her to a greater purpose. Though her addiction to them had become severe and unplanned. She'd upped her dosage since she'd gotten them out of need. Quitting would be hell.
Callen laughed at Yuki's question. "Why not attack us? Three different shadows living in a real house? Unaffected by the side-effects of being turned into a shadow? We're walking targets." Zero opened one eye, "He means, it was shadows that did this to us. Human's, I'd be able to kill in one hit, shadows are another matter. They saw us recreating Zain and they thought we were continuing the Doctor's research. In a way...we were. Nicholi kept us working on another subject. I think he took it with him. She wasn't complete but he kept mumbling about her when he went to sleep." "Who is she?" Zero hesitated to answer.
I"m pretty much cool with anything if we don't go to fast. During the week school has to absorb all my time so I have no free time to log on, or very little. I'm also grounded until the end of the school year so posting gets a little frustrating on this pc.
