Koza steered the horse towards the town. He was deep in thought as he drove the cart along I forgot to tell her that the home is in ruins.....
Koza just sighed as he got on the cart and grabbed the reins of the horse.
"The next town is also where the family home is. We can check it out while the doctor is patching up Kyo. The workers are going to let us use a horse and cart to get there."
"So will I. I regret that I wasn't able to tell him in person that I forgive him."
Koza woke up early the next morning and walked outside to get some fresh air. He got some blankets to wrap Takahiros body in and started digging a hole.
Koza covered Maiko up with his cloak. He went back to where he was sleeping earlier and went back to sleep.
"There aren't any doctors in the area. The closest one is a mile away, we'd never make it in time." Koza opened up a false bottom in his sword handle and pulled out a small vial. "Apply this on her wounds. That will patch her up sufficiently until we can get her to the doctor in the morning."
"I forgive him." Koza said solemnly.
Koza knelt down and tried to console Maiko. Rest in peace, Takahiro.
Koza raised uo and hugged Maiko. "It's alright, sis. I'm here for you."
Koza woke up. "What isn't fair? What happened?"
"I guess you're right. Wake me when they get back." He said as he closed his eyes.
"How long have they been gone sis? For some strange reason, I feel something bad is going to happen...."
"In my condition, there's not much else I can do at the moment, and I definately don't want to stress you out sis. I'd never hear the end of it."
"I can't. If I don't give my wounds time to heal, they'll re-open, which may prove fatal."
"Once the poison is injected, it completely freezes the muscles in the body. Over time, the poison grows in strength, with the victim experiencing excruciating pain. After an hour has passed, unless an anti-toxin has been administered, the victim will die. Even if an anti-toxin has been introduced to the body, the victim will still have many hours of pain to look forward to as the poison slowly leaves the system."
"Beats me. Just follow the trail and you;ll find out."
"Obviously. Have you seen any of the others?"
"I take it you're one of us, correct?" He asked Saffon.
"You aren't going to die yet. The poison dosen't turn lethal for another hour, but until then you're going to feel unimaginable pain. If those fools from squad 4 get to you beforehand, they may be able to cure you. If you survive, though, the next time we meet, you won't be so lucky." Tsuda laughed as he dispelled his bankai and walked off.
