"It's Arisa's turn this time."
"Oh come on, it wasn't that..." "Just shut up, Nakim. Nobody wants to hear it."
Nakik floated up to Hattori. "Where the heck have you been?!" He noticed Arisa and Aigis with him. "I see. Good thing I left you on your own then." Hattori glared at Nakim. "Why are you such a pervert, Nakim?"
"You're right. Let's head to the shrine. Nakim's waiting for us there."
"If we ever see the guy, I'll be sure to beat some sense into him for you."
"Reminds me of my father. He only thought of other people as tools. People like that are the scum of the earth. You think that guy is still alive?"
"Something troubling you, Arisa?"
"Life seems so harsh sometimes."
"I was here paying respect to my sister Shiori. She died protecting me from shadows when I was five. Other than my grandfather, she was the only member of my family that was ever kind to me."
"You paying your respects to someone as well?"
Hattori found a tree and sat against it as he tried to hold back his tears. Why does this day always get to me?
Hattori continued walking on with a sullen expression on his face.
Hattori stood up and turned away from his sister's grave, wiping the tears from his eyes. He slowly walked away, not noticing Arisa and the others as he passed by them.
Nakim stood in front of the shrine. Where the heck is Hattori? The others will be here before he gets back at this rate...He'll be ticked at me if I tell them why he's late too.
Hattori walked to the graveyard and knelt in front of his sister's tombstone. Sometimes, I wished I smoked...
Hattori checked his watch. "I'm gonna head to the graveyard. Go hang at the shrine and wait for the others, Nakim." "Roger that, boss."
"You sure you aren't just thinking about your sister?" "Shut up, Nakim. I told you never to speak of her." "Why not? You never did tell me what happened to her." "Just go through my memory. I hate talking about it." "You're always so moody on this day."
"Why don't you go hang out with Arisa?" "Two reasons. One, she wanted to hang out with Aigis. Two, I needed some time to think." "You're getting that loner attitude again." "Can't help that. Been a loner most of my life, and once this is over, I'll probably continue being a loner. I've got the feeling once we deal with all the Shadow Arcana, everyone will forget I ever existed. Won't be the first time though."
"So what do you want to do, Hattori?" "I'll train, I guess. I want to try out this new scythe." "You remember what today is, right?" "I remember. You don't have to remind me about it." "You're not gonna go and pay your respects to her?" "No. Brings up too many bad memories. Besides, the rest of the family will be there, and I really don't want to deal with them."
Let me know when he catches up.
