I hear that Skylanders is a decent series, and that's fine. But yeah, I understand your feelings.
The only experience I had with the Spyro series was a demo of the first game (I think it was the first game). Seemed like a fun game, and I regret not getting it for my PS1 all those years ago (might download it to my PS3 if I ever feel like it someday). Although, I do feel bad for those who grew up with the series having to go through the fact that Skylanders is now what kids today think of when they hear 'Spyro.'

My PS2's barely alive, and the PS2 brand itself is pretty much dead. Which is why many publishers are re-releasing HD versions of older games (like Kingdom Hearts and the Jak series). I've moved on from the days of the PS2.
